Unfortunately no, we do not allow people to edit or remove their cards after submitting :( We always suggest people come here first if they want feedback on their ideas.
I can understand not making the card editable, but what about the description below it? Say you make a typo in it? Also totally missed this thread before I submitted my entry. Used to posting in a forum submission thread and all that. Guess the HearthPwn version of the competition I always played in needs to phase out of my head.
What I made (might help someone avoid making a copy):
While I really like this idea, there's already one submission which is nearly identical (minion goes dormant when played) and Elfensilver showed us another version of it 8 posts above of yours (hunter version, though). You can check the already submitted entries on your voting page. As I have no idea who had the idea first, I would give all of you the same raiting, but that's only my view and I wanted to let you know that there are similar cards around.
Thanks. Going through all 40+ submissions by refresh though is going to get old very fast.
Why not just show all submissions on the page with a random order? That way everyone sees different cards first or last and you can much much more quickly look and see if your idea is present or not. 40 images isn't exactly server breaking (and you could auto-generate lightweight thumbnails of them for that page if needed).
I'd submit a different card now given the other Rogue Secret with Dormant in the pool but sadly I can't remove my entry. Shouldn't it be possible to modify/update/replace your entry until the voting phase starts? Until then no one can vote, so what's the harm right? Otherwise whoever throws down a card quickly enough will get free additional votes by virtue of being present on the voting page earlier. Timezones alone would make that unfair.
Maybe a timer or a specific amounts of views would be needed to lock in your card before the voting phase?
While the stat line and heal are obviously nice, the real value of this card rests on Toss & MalokaiBADCARDNAME. If Malokai is strong, then cards like this are awesome: he's an effective early game blocker (which SI generally lacks) and he heals, both of which you want for longer games. Plus, he will progress Malokai by 3 (4 if he's on the board). On the other hand, if Malokai is weak, I don't think toad is good enough to earn a spot in your deck: SI control decks would probably prefer to keep the existing strategy of just ceding early board entirely and catching up via Avalanche / Withering Wails / Ruination, and SI tempo decks want to be more aggressive than a 1/4 stat line.
Now that we've seen 3 other champions, Quinn seems very dull. Don't get me wrong--the scout mechanic is good and she will see play--its just that her decks are going to be very linear, like all those Rally decks that were popular ~a month ago. Step #1: get more stats than your opponent on board, Step #2: punish using multiple attacks, Step #3: wait, step #2 didn't win you the game? Concede. Her mechanics are just so much more shallow than Malokai, Swain, and Vi's. I get that simple isn't always bad; I'm just not excited for this card the same way I am for many others.
The fact that every new follower becomes this AND activates it's last breath effect means a lot.. the fact that the other copies it creates also have this effect make it really hard to kill off! it can really pop off in some token or last breath decks, also works well with maokai (obviously, as it's a support card for him).. so all in all I think this card is very powerful and once it gets goign it's hard to stop specially as there are no 3 damage aoe yet.. the only 2 cards that can board wipe this are Reckoning and The Ruination.
This card is either insanely good or really bad, and I love that I honestly can't tell which. The obvious combo is The Undying, but even something like Haunted Relic or Hapless Aristocrat gets crazy value with one of these in play. And of course, it turbo-progresses Malokai/Kalista/Lucian/They Who Endure/etc. The problems though are 1.) this costs a lot of mana to get into play, and 2.) you can't "turn it off", so it will be hard to get anything bigger than 4/3 into play. It does at least limit its effect to followers.
Definitely, though: I'm very excited to see what types of decks players try to invent--Runeterra needs more wacky cards like this!
I'm going to call this card very good. I think the "stunned" option is a bit of a herring--I think it will get the most play in swarm decks where you just use it use as a 1-mana single-use guillotine to punish blocking--but the fact that it ALSO works on stunned units just makes it all the more useful.
I was under the impression that it was just a token but then I noticed the rarity gem. I checked Escaped Abomination (and Valor) to confirm that tokens don't have a gem, so it looks like it's collectible.
I'm interested to see if the premium stats will make up for the lack of effects. My guess would be no but then again when played on-curve, it's almost certainly going to trade for two cards (unit+unit or unit+spell).
I would expect him to never be main-decked as well. Compare to For Demacia! and Mushroom Cloud, which are both technically collectible cards but never see play outside of when they are generated by Vanguard / Clump of Whumps / Chump Whump.
If we go with the top 7-ish decks Ez-Karma Control - P&Z / Ionia (Good mix of both regions) Heimer Karma - P& Z / Ionia (Good mix of both regions again) Elusive Burn - Ionia / Demacia (Good mix of both regions) Bannerman - Demacia with a hint of Nox or Ionia Spiders Aggro - SI and Noxus Corina Control - SI and P&Z Kinkou Elusives - Ionia with a hint of Frejord
Seriously Frejord is very weak or they would appear more on the top tier lists. You might see them on the odd deck like Warmother's Control, Yasuo Control, Ashe Deck, Yetis, and Vlads, but let's face it they are just supporting. The one deck they are in top tier with. They run 2 cards, Elixir of Iron and Omen Hawk.
You also have to consider Frejord is a scaling region, you have to get to late game to win and the meta is very midrange focused right now.
I"m not sure if the new mmr in the latest patch is the same for casual as it is in ranked.
Basically your silver/gold level etc is immaterial now to your MMR which is the only matching it's using in ranked (and maybe the same or just a different mmr)
when you win against people you gain mmr, if they're higher than you mmr wise you'll get more than if they're lower.
So I wouldnt worry about it, eventually if you win a lot in casual your mmr is going to go up, so you will be facing people who play T1 decks on casual
Not even sure if it differentiates between the 2 game modes any more you could be playing against somebody on the ranked ladder even though you chose to play in casual.
Only legend players get to see the rank of their opponent.
Empathy is the answer here I guess. Think like you are doing that. Why would you do that?
If you are a long-term player, you probably will find the reasoning by yourself.
1-) Some T1 decks you saw in casual are first time players which are trying the deck before they play it on ladder. 2-) Some of them are people who tries the deck's playstyle if it fits their gameplay style or not and if they enjoy to play with that deck or not. That might take some time to figure it out. 3-) Some of them are people who wants to play better with that deck, so they do just some practices. 4-) Some of them have only those T1 decks in their collection and they want to do some quests without worrying their rank and they don't want to build new decks for just doing quests. So they play casual. Not everyone has longer free times to build decks and play with them at the same time, you know. 5-) Some of them just want to reach daily gold cap faster and they know, in casual mode, they might face meme decks more than ladder, so they are playing casual to milk meme/homebrew decks. 6-) Some of them are "first game of the day", which some players do before going ladder climb. I am doing that in FPS games to adjust my brain, mentality and reflexes for the game for example. 7-) Some of them just don't want to play stressfully and don't want to care misplays for that day. At the end of the day, you can't know how stressful their real life and what they faced. 8-) and more reasoning i can't empathize. I believe and almost certain that I skipped, forget or can't really find some of them.
Casual is casual. In past, I was like you, I was wondering why they were playing netdecks in casual and i thought like there is no meaning to play netdecks in casual but that doesn't sound right nowadays because if i am free to play my meme decks in casual game mode, They are also free to try, play and practice their t1 decks in casual mode.
Overall, the tournament was pretty sad, a problem was the incentive money to the player with the highest winrate. At least this made clear that there is a problem with DH. Before this event I wasn't sure, but the amount of matches that were just the same or not fun at all were a lot.
I hope they take this event and the perception of DH matches as feedback for future changes.
I wouldn't say she's essential to the deck. It still plays fine without her, but she has won me quite a few games where the opponent just wasn't able to remove her and I snowballed off her or she gave me the burst I needed for lethal. Just slapping her down on 3 is usually just asking for her to be removed so I'll usually try to hold onto her until I can cast 2 or 3 buffs on her in an attempt to help her stick or to swing the board around.
I don't think the problem is with mods of these pages rather than the community itself. Hearthstone community is good but it's REAALLY OVERPROTECTIVE over hearthstone and I've tried to test that couple of times. People in the community slam you with insane ammount of dislikes if you have any bad comment for the game. It's not good for the health of the community and game. Chill guys, it's just a game. If I feel a card/deck is op and should be fixed, take into consideration that is ONLY an opinion. And to think that it is a pay to win game too, so I kind of have a right to express my anger and discontent when i feel like it because of the money I've paid for the game. Hearthpwn community seems to have a lot more aggressive people than outofcards. I swear, every time i see a "oh you don't like it? then stop playing" comment i will slap that dislike faster than the speed of light.
I can't agree with this because I have some great discussions here while comparing LoR vs HS with calling something bad about HS.
Well, that might be about those topics was on LoR forum and maybe those fanboys might not even open those other game forums, I don't know but from my personal experiences, people here knows the difference between criticism and defamation and how this is really a good thing for the game you criticize (Hearthstone here).
For that "oh you don't like it then stop playing" comment. I don't think it is a fanboy comment to be honest. That might sometimes mean "I am aware of the problem you have mentioned there but that doesn't bother me to play this game and I have no valid argument against it. if it bothers you, stop playing it because there is nothing you can do about it." To be honest, That's mostly what we can do for the products that we use. We are consumers, we can suggest companies some stuff but we are not decision makers for those products. If they don't care those problems and if they are vital points for you to consume, Stop using is the best valid option for you most of times. So I really think that comment is not salty or flame-y or troll everytime.
Naw, you guys are making total sense. I'll try to keep it tasteful, but hey, I'm as opinionated as the next player and do enjoy a good drink with my forum thumping. I'll keep it to a minimum is what I'm trying to say, haha
So far really enjoying the tone here. Hearthpwn is just obequitous 'jump-down-the-throat on what op posted'. Pick any random thread and the first reply is always one sentence knocking someone down no matter how relevant or not what they had to say was. Yay for being over it
You are posting deliberately antagonistically rude titles and whining when you get a swift, strong response?
That makes you come across as an ignorant idiot. I won't be reading your posts.
Getting the individual set blocks let you fill out the individual sets, while the YOD packs will fill in that what you're missing. With the duplicate restrictions in place, you can think of them as "wildcards".
Did not buy the previous bundle with YoD packs so I bought this one since I wanted extra dust for missing wanted legendaries and this was a good value/cost balance, only pulled High Priest Amet though, was expecting at least 2 legendaries : (
FWIW, I saw your thread when I was lurking on the old site last week and didn't find it offensive. In hindsight, I can see mods possibly issuing a word of warning given how sensitive a term 'racist' is, but an outright ban seems a bit overboard.
I would suggest to check the wording with already existing cards, I'm pretty sure it should say "At the start of your turn". The rest of it is fine, it would be interesting to try this out. Nice synergies with lackeys, Pogo Hoppers and Battlecry minions in general.
I was basing it off of the wording of Competitive Spirit since that's the only start of turn secret

It was Satyr Overseer. I'm so sorry. I completely forgot this thread existed.

I play Tier 1 decks in casual just so I can learn to pilot them.
And yes I feel bad about it, otherwise casual is just for grinding out dailies and gold farming
