Aggro Miracle Priest
- Aggro Priest
- Wild
- Fun
I opened a golden Reliquary of Souls today and wanted to try the card out in some sort of aggro/buff priest. My first attempts to make an aggro priest based on previous versions weren't very successful. Unfortunately, the deck completely falls flat on its face without the card draw from Power Word: Shield or 2 mana Extra Arms. The end of turn package of Shadow Ascendant Dragonmaw Overseer and Drakkari Enchanter did prove to be quite fun though, so I decided to keep them for the snowball potential. With limited options for card draw or generation, I turned to the new Ashes of Outland cards for a solution.
Relying on Sethekk Veilweaver for card generation meant the deck had to be more like a Miracle Priest, so I added Lyra the Sunshard and Grave Horrors as well as my Eydis Darkbane which I crafted for an old Dragon Soul priest I loved playing before the Extra Arms nerf. With some cheap spell targetted spell generation from Clockwork Gnome and Banana Buffoon, the deck can really pop off once you get a Radiant Elemental down.

Is Eydis Darkbane necessary to the deck? Or is she more of the additional pressure for your opponent? It seems that unless you have a substantial amount of mana/spells to work on it, she'd be a hell of a target when she hits the board.
I wouldn't say she's essential to the deck. It still plays fine without her, but she has won me quite a few games where the opponent just wasn't able to remove her and I snowballed off her or she gave me the burst I needed for lethal. Just slapping her down on 3 is usually just asking for her to be removed so I'll usually try to hold onto her until I can cast 2 or 3 buffs on her in an attempt to help her stick or to swing the board around.
Looks like it should be fun. I'll give it a try.
