  • New Neutral Minion - Clumsy Steward

This is the kind of card you'd run only if you're trying to irritate your opponent and you don't care too much about winning games. Perhaps I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like anyone would want to lose cards from their own deck just to , on the off-chance, take something powerful away from the opponent. It's probably best attacking OTK decks, so it might find a home in slower decks in a meta with heavy OTK presence but we'll see.

I also just don't like the design of it.

  • New Warlock Spell - Deadline

I kinda really like this. The Tradeable/Temporary is a nice touch and I'd honestly like to see more cards with that because it's a neat use of Tradeable. The main problem is that this probably works best in a slower Warlock deck, not many of which exist right now, but it's a decent rate for removal and maybe it could see play Tourist Rogue or something.

  • New Warlock Spell - Fine Print

I like it for a Control Warlock deck that might also be running cards that care about self-damage. Painlock already has some pretty good board wipes so I'm not expecting to see this slotted into the current deck, it would probably need to find a different home.

  • New Death Knight Spell - Eternal Layover

This could be useful in a DK deck that's heavy on Deathrattles, because there's not much else you'd want to do with a card like this. It might be worth experimenting with, but I don't expect to see it very much.

  • New Death Knight Spell - Soul Searching

This is really good. Great value, giving the ability to get extra copies of high impact cards in a class that, as far as I can recall, hasn't had this sort of value ability prior to now. I'd expect it to see play in most slower DK decks, although the Rune requirement might be a bit too taxing (no Rainbow DK for you).

  • New Death Knight Minion - Travel Security

It's a bit too expensive to combo with DK's array of Deathrattle tools, but maybe with a little bit of Mana cheat you could get it on board and spread its Deathrattle or trigger it with Yodeler and or Darkmarrow. Seems like a lot of work for a random effect, but it could be a good time if you're able to get things going.

  • New Neutral Minion - Busy Peon

Probably only useful in a deck that needs the Location discount to set up an OTK. I can't think of one off the top of my head, but I'm willing to bet somebody figures one out, even if it's likely to be a meme.

  • New Druid Spell - Handle with Bear

I like it, but I'm not sure it's going to be that good. I like that the Bears scale so you can wait a few turns to get a big body down; if it sees play I'd expect to see it mostly as a defensive tool against faster decks but I wouldn't hate it if people are keeping the bears in hand to make them as large as possible.

  • New Druid Minion - Number Cruncher

It's flexible as removal for something big or defensive against a wide board of small things; I just don't see how this makes the cut into Druid decks; it doesn't have the synergies of Nest Matron and could dilute the pool of Taunt minions to draw. I like the idea, though.

  • New Paladin Minion - Busy-Bot

This could be really powerful for Flood Paladin; the deck runs quite a few 1-Attack cheap minions as well as stuff like Mining Casualties and Muster for Battle, so I could see it possibly finding a place in that deck.

  • New Paladin Spell - Trust Fall

It could be a neat tool for Reno Paladin, but I don't really see this as a serious tool for real decks.

Yeah FOMO is a thing and I myself am affected by it when looking at a new title with bunch of DLCs. More so when I know I dont like to replay games multiple times, even tho granted X4 games are meant to be replayed so there is isnt much of a factor, but the original argument, at least for me, stands. I dont like playing "incomplete" games, even tho they arent incomplete per-se, but I dont like playing without all the content available to me. Which ironically can make me to not play the game at all, when it looks intimidating by the sheer total content the game has at the point I get to it, or the price tag for it all. I go in circle, I know :)

What worries me is that it says "turns", plural. Does that imply it makes the effect permanent?

Pre-edit: Forgot to send the comment, thought I closed the tab and couldn't be bothered to re-write it, and now I found it. So here it is, a few days late.

I should get back into Endless Space 2 some day. I started a game, but something interrupted it and over time I forgot how to play.

Stellaris is more of an economic game than a combat-focused game, so it's probably more like Endless Space than like Sins.

Would a new player actually benefit from adding all those DLCs? DLCs can add mechanics, events and customization options. More mechanics is probably a net negative if you're still learning the basics, extra events is not really necessary if you haven't experienced all the base events yet and more customization options is nice but the base game does offer enough for at least a few playthroughs.

Like most players, I'm not immune to FOMO: I really had to convince myself to just buy the X4 base game and not think about getting DLCs until I've put in a few dozen hours.

Fine Print - The fact that it damages you is unlikely to be a problem. The only issue here is whether this card is straight up better than table flip, which is not only a one sided clear, it also has the potential to be cheaper than 4 mana. I suppose its all down to the meta because 3 health is about the sweet spot for most AoE cards nowadays, if it turns to 4, then this card will take precedence.

Eternal Layover - Its a combination of dead air and psuedo removal. The problem is dead air itself rarely sees play, even at 2 mana, and heres that card thats 2 mana more, with only the cavaet that it also affects non undead. I mean, is this really good enough for 4 mana? I suppose the only way it sees play is that there's a very specific combo with it, or somehow warlock needs something like this.

Clumsy Steward - Ashen elemental saw no play and its the precise problem why this card wont as well in standard. There's simply not many ways to compel the opponent to draw aside from frozen over, which along with this card guarantees removing two cards. And then there's also the issue of whether such a card is even needed at the end of the day, because you just know its a dead card most of the time, bricking your hand with sweet promises and then you get run over by aggro, remove this card from your deck and swear never to play it again.

Soul Searching - Quite powerful in control decks where corpses rarely becomes a problem. In most other decks though its a slightly more expensive tracking. I suppose that in of itself isnt bad. It'll likely see play, best I can say.

  • New The Traveling Travel Agency Cards For September 7th

The fact that a taunt protects it is only ever relevant in arena where removal isnt just everywhere. In standard competitive however, that is simply never the case. Its nearly impossible to expect this to actually survive for more than the turn its played so theoretically youve just refreshed one minion hoping your opponent has no answers.

As for your commentary on the original cube, I think its safe to say that the requirement for an additional card to trigger it has never really been a problem. Certainly looking back at cubelock, big hunter, etc Ive never gotten the impression that its ever an issue.

I guess we'll see whether this card would be meta when it releases but Im struggling to see it as it is now.

  • New The Traveling Travel Agency Cards For September 7th

Yeah but this cube requires 0 other cards to be good (besides the one you're eating ofc) while the original cube reuired other cards to be useful, otherwise you just killed your own minion for no benefit

If you eat a taunt minion it's immediately protected by taunt and has to be removed by a spell or something

This one ALWAYS gives value the same turn it's played while the og vube, again, required an extra card and some mana to be useful, not sure what you mean there

I just have no idea what you're on, this cube seems a lot better than the old one
