I'm very curious as-to how they would hit Galakrond Warrior, because I use the package for my Fire Plume's Heart deck. It's not even close to the Charge OTK nonsense, but I fear it will be collateral damage :(
I could see Scion being given the SCG treatment with "summon 2 3/2 copies of this minion" being the new wording. That or some other wording to make sure it's not copies, but just additional 3/2 rushers.
Kronx was the very first craft I did on day one! I figured we all got the five Galakrond hero cards free, so I'd be playing around with those archetypes. And his effect of either drawing the hero card, or unleashing a devastation is something you'd want in any Galakrond build. Even on my f2p account that lives in poverty I crafted him immediately.
And if you craft him, your next legendary pull won't be a second Kronx since we can't open multiples of the same legendary without owning all legendaries in a set.
I think they are planning on doing regular rotations of new and old skins. Likely in both individual sales like Sylvanas or bundle packs like Hazelbark. While some players don't care about cosmetics, some go crazy for them. And since they now have Battlegrounds mode with a constantly rotating hero pool, they will likely be making more and more portraits for that mode. Might as well capitalize by making them available as hero skins in constructed too!
I doubt there won't be any replacement, at least not for too long and I'm pretty sure they won't make a new skin every 2 months, so I hope we'll get some bundle skins or at least Khadgar again.
As I have found that these are mostly disappointing or lacking, especially Skeram Cultist and Crazed Worshipper both of which are poor at best at the mana cost and haven't ever really seen much play. My suggestion is changing them in this manner:
C'Thun's Chosen : it has been show consistently that a divine shield should cost around 1 mana but in this case it has taken away a statpoint as well, my suggestion is to add one health.
Crazed Worshipper : This card is dissapoining for the defensive nature at the mana cost as it has very much 4 mana stats with a slight upside of taunt and should be considerable even outside of C'thun decks just for the nice stat distribution with taunt, so i suggest from 5 mana to 4 mana.
Skeram Cultist : This card could be much more interesting, for example giving C'thun an affect such as Lifesteal or Poisonous as right now, C'thun has trouble keeping you alive apart from maybe having taunt but with Poisonous or Lifesteal it at least gives a boardclear or even a Reno-style healing. ( both of the effects seem good but I can't decide which is better)
Twilight Elder : This has been a consitently used card in nearly every itteration of C'Thun the only thing is that it buffs C'thun very slowly as when he is on board for 2 maybe 3 turns you get a total of +2/+2 or +3/+3 to your C'thun which seem too slow to make a real impact especially when you try to get C'thun to a 10/10 so my suggestion is small but should gratify those times he does stick, make his end of your turn effect at the end of EVERY turn. (this should give the enemy a reason to target him over others)
As far as I'm concerned it's been the Rogue and Shaman stone for a while now all last year Rogue and shaman stone with a little warrior and mage mixed into it. And if you aren't interested and it finally being nerfed so we can get something new you are the problem.
I'd say that in wild(don't know about standard) Galakrond Warlock is a pretty big deal. Drawing 3 cards for 4 mana AND 5/4 on top of it is a bit too much. If it was just 2 cards, it would be alright(since you have to have a payoff, that is bigger than usual, since you must play two cards, to get an effect)(Veiled Worshipper).
It really isn't though. Galakrond warlock is decent, nothing more. And Veiled Worshipper is definitely not the reason it's as strong as it is. It's the overload of swarm-synergies that wild offers.
Reasoning behind my Galakrond bets are that nerfing mana on Invoke cards basically delays the whole deck. The suggested cards are those that currently provide more Tempo than non-Galakrond cards of the same cost (eg. Glacial Shard and Heroic Strike), which is an unnecessary spike of powercreep.
As for the OP: isn't Galakrond Warlock just another version of Zoolock (swarm/trade/prevail)?!?
Yeah I probably should have clarified the Zoolock comment. I enjoy the more hybrid / midrange Galakrond builds, with some control tools like Dark Skies, Abyssal Summoner, etc.
Basically playing something other than go wide and buff.
The Problem is when nerfs hit Rouge, Warrior and Sham, Quest Priest is getting stronger. And Quest Priest is the most cancer in my eyes. So how they can balance that problem.
Veiled Worshipper draws you three cards because you'll give up on Life Tap (which is the best basic hero power of all 9) and you need some sort of card generation, right? But I understand why you're pointing it out. In Standard Galakrond Warlock is good but not OP or oppressive at all. Moreover, consider that with Worshipper you'd actually get two cards, since you play one (the same reasoning behind stuff like Arcane Intellect: play one, draw two, 2-1=1). I don't see that minion as a problem right now, but who knows.
If the Galakrond package will be nerfed, it will be the class part and not the neutral ones: Shield of Galakrond is an autoinclude in every Galakron deck, but what breaks the mechanic is stuff like Invocation of Frost and Ritual Chopper, in other words cards that make you gain tempo instead of losing it. In the end, it's all about tempo: Galakrond is strong and rewarding, so you should have some disadvantages from invoking it, disadvantages that are supposed to be diminished by the "if you've Invoked twice" cards (Fate Weaver, Veiled Worshipper, Scion of Ruin, Dragon's Pack and Umbral Skulker). The point is that only Priest loses tempo (and A LOT of tempo) while invoking, whereas Shaman, Warrior and partially Warlock and Rogue gain it: it's a win win scenario which discourages deck building strategies. Would you run other stuff instead of all the 8 Invokers (+ the 2 reward cards + Galakrond)? No, you wouldn't at all: this way, almost half of your deck is filled with no effort at all and you just have to think about how getting your good stuff the fastest possible (prime Galakrond Shaman had plenty of card draw; today's [Hearthstone Card (Galakrond Shaman) Not Found] has Spirit of the Frog that can literally draw you half of the deck).
For what regards Warrior, I used the word "OTK" in order to explain the fact that it has so much burst that you should always be afraid of being dead. Leeroy Jenkins + Inner Rage + Bloodsworn Mercenary is 16 damage by itself. Let's not consider highroll scenarios in which Galakrond, the Unbreakable draws you the nuts, but just a buffed Kor'kron Elite with the combo I just wrote is 20 damage; add Galakrond's Might (which can be triggered multiple times per turn and they stack) and the included Arcanite Reaper and you have an idea of what I'm saying.
I really hate Dragon's Pack as a card, but just +2/+1 is not fair: it's underwhelming.
They will never nerf Ancharrr and I wont complain about it.
Yeah let's blame the 9-drop that does nothing when you play it instead of the 4-drop that has a targeted draw effect and also allows you to cheat out high cost deathrattles.
Also, Ancharrr is dumb because it allows pirate warriors to randomly highroll and have way more resources than such a deck should have.
Ice Lance used to be used to deal lots of burn damage the the opponent's face, but then it was moved the Hall of Fame. Now we have Icicle to replace it, but Icicle cannot hit your opponents face.
Galakrond decks might be nerfed to unplayability.. So maybe he is not such a safe craft anymore...
Maybe only a notch. I remain optimistic about Galakrond decks in the next rotation after all bullshit like Shudderwock rotate out, because some cards from Year of the Raven swing the balance of Galakronds. Especially having faith in Galakrond Priest, as they will probably want him for some mass removal before new AoE like Plague of Death come out.
Let's not forget about a potential Hall of Fame rotation.
Still, waiting a week is not such a big deal, wait to see what they are nerfing (and buffing.. Maybe..).

Pressure selling at its finest ; might as well pretend they are running out of supplies ^^

Sylvanas leaving is BOGUS.
The other hunter skin was on that shop for like 3 years!
I know it's just a ploy to have them increase sales but c'mon

I think the same. But in the Patch Notes there says "a limited Time"...

Sylvanas is leaving? I thought she was going to be the replacement for the other hero skins they rotated out and stick around for a few years.
Screams of the Old Gods! (1 New Legendary, 22 Card Buffs)
Honestly, I ADORE this idea but I am more concerned about the C'thun buffers that got left out, Disciple of C'Thun, C'Thun's Chosen , Skeram Cultist and Crazed Worshipper and maybe Twilight Elder.

Disciple of C'Thun : The battlecry is literally Holy Smite so I suggest a +1/+1 buff from 2/1 to a 3/2

A good guess, but no. Look at some of the words - there’s a deliberate theme there to give a clue about the nature of the card.
