It bugs you too? Then it probably entice you into playing an other arena run, and an other one, and an other one ... Hoping to solve it all ; just one more time ... Which means their system is working ^^
Seriously, what am I supposed to do with 5 gold? I don't play arena too often, so when there's a promotion/free ticket event, I get in there. I always get a 25 or 35 gold reward, then that 5 gold just sits there staring at me, laughing because I can't spend it. Am I little over-annoyed by this? Oh yes, of course. No rational person would get so upset. Just finished my second arena run of the week, just hoping to get another 5 gold to balance it out. Nope. You know what? You can TAKE my 5 gold back! I'd rather LOSE 5 gold then continue being stuck with this stupid little hang-on that I can't use.
Anyone else feel at least a little bit like this? Or just tell me I'm nuts. That's fine too.
I've always been kinda curious where midrange decks fall in this division. Intuitively, you might say they're halfway between aggro and control, but I feel like they tend to have a lot more in common with the former than the latter.
The guide is a bit outdated, but I wanted to change the decklist, because the previous one didn't address the meta after the nerfs. I will try to update the guide in the following days.
[edit] For those, who aren't aware - I've cut 2x Maelstrom Portals, 1x Eater of Secrets and 1x Plague of Murlocs for 2x Crackle, 1x Zilliax and a second Devolve. After the nerf patch I barely face swarm decks in wild, so imho the portals are useless. Crackle helps us deal with larger threats and can be used as burst. I've made the deck more vulnerable to burn mage with the removal of the secret tech, but in my games playing as Thief Priest I rarely faced that archtype. I prefer to run something flexible and generally useful. Big Priest isn't popular anymore, so there's no real need for the plague. If you need to transform buffed stuff, Devolve will be more helpful. The plague is better against Kabal Crystal Runners, Giants, Voidlords or other big minions, but it's really bad against aggro decks. I also prefer having a board, which can trade into the opponent's weakened minions than to hope RNG saves my life and gives my enemy weak murlocs.
Your deck is really cool, i love it, i'm climbing slowly (5 to 3) but it's a pleasure to play a deck with octosari ! thx mate :)
i'm also playing Sahket Sapper instead of Blightnozzle Crawler, just because it's a new card and because a priest rage quited against me cause it sapped the good minion
After having played a considerable number of matches (roughly 170) with this deck, I have to say Blightnozzle Crawler is overall better than [Hearthstone Card (Sahket Sapper) Not Found]: it's a mech (SN1P-SN4P and Zilliax synergy), kills instead of Sapping a minion (yeah, taunt may be a problem, but you have so many removals to bypass them), makes it awkward for your opponents to remove it (they need to trades or two clears), there's no RNG ready to screw you and last, but not least, your opponent can't use this Deathrattle to his own advantage.
The randomly generated deck consists out of cards from the adventure buckets, which will result in some synergy. In your opening hand you get a 0 mana wish spell, which will have Zephyr's effect, but without the body. If you play the first wish, a second wish will be shuffled in.
Priest seems to be a bad class, Hunter and Mage seem good.
The only time that priest worked great for me was when I used my wish then found the wish in my deck with Shadow Visions the very next turn.
I could be wrong, but that was my first impression upon checking the list and the guide you had. And like I said, the concept seems pretty fun, so good job on that!
My favourite moment was when I could beat control warrior with my burgle rogue. My list was omega far from optimal, but Blink Fox gave me Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and I also had triple Tess. This game was fun and full of rng

It takes out control decks most of the time. It feels a bit like having no real counter but also no clear win against most metadecks. If feels like being a T2 if played well. As said it feels unvorgiving. So even if you make it and play it you might get slaughtered. A friend tried it out today. He made the mistake to play a merchant doubling an omega loosing him the game somewhat 8 turns later. And he knew the decklist he battled. I had been clearly negative for at least 50 games. Moved to 50% with the historians and over 50% with godfrey and the scavengers gave it the last kick. Maybe i get another idea for a card to further improve it.
It´s definitely not Zoo. It´s midrange with omegas as powerful lategame if needed. I did nee a good number of games to get a grip on it. It´s not one of the straightforward decks and i struggled in the T3 range mostly due to lack of healing. So i did try out and think how to improve. I played i without Godfrey for some time to have a better control what to discard but it´s clearly better with him. Adding him improved winrate against quest paladins which were hard and it made the deck close to autowin against murlocs. As said this list is refinded multiple times with over 100 games and great to play. It brings cards into play that are unused in the meta. It might end as T3 deck after R5 but i still can´t tell.
You mentioned it looks greedy. Countess might look like that. I had been concerned to use her and did put her out and in. She showed to be very strong here.
I just noticed that when clicking the link for Traversing Azeroth - in the similar content list - the previous posts of the series appear as ''unpublished''
I thought it was the only purpose of running a pair of Weasel Tunneler, or for class restriction, say a pair of Excavated Evil to counter even synergy and singleton as well.
Why the 5 gold rewards?

The whole uldum experience has been great so far as there are so many viable decks! A lot of people can use any deck and perform well with it!

I crafted Quest Paladin and Tempo Rogue and ......now I am having an absolute blast.
Sure I am getting beaten more often than when I play with the Highlander Hunter, but I am just having so much fun with these other decks.
Smiling.

Hmmm... :
Anyone get packs from Twitch Grandmasters?
