For me, it varies. Some ideas just stick in my brain and I will spend a lot of time trying to make it work. Quest Hunter (The Marsh Queen) was a deck I had a ton of fun working on and playing regularly with Prince Keleseth. It was a pretty weak deck but crazy fun since Prince K didn't have to be high-roll mulligan. Dropping him AFTER you played Queen Carnassa was insane value.
Other deck ideas where I feel like I'm a genius who had an epiphany get trounced and I immediately realize it was a flawed concept so I move on after 4-6 games.
I really hope the nerf to Extra Arms isn't true. It was my favorite card from the Boomsday Buffs, going from unplayable garbage, to a strong card that could fit a variety of synergies ranging from Eggs to Miracle decks.
Reverting the card to 3 mana essentially deletes it and just makes these few months with it at 2 mana feel like a tease.
Extra Arms was unplayable at 3, Priest was the worst class in HS for a long time, now it has a tier 3 deck, I really don't understand this nerf, they are trying to cancel the class or what?
As far is i remember i used Molten Giants as mage to kill Lich King in turn 3 or 4 or so. You may have to restart a few times to ensure u have them in your opening hand though. If you have them from your early days i would give it a shot.
Conjurer's Calling seems like a symptom of the Mountain Giant problem to me, so I'm not too sure this will have a massive impact. We'll have to see though.
I just had a cool idea! What if you changed Absorb to also get the Keywords of the Minion it destroys, and then you could have the Ogrons have some keyword, the Grons another, and the colossus a third! This would require messing with the stats, but you could have Poisonous, Rush, and Taunt given to Ogrons, Grons, and Colossus respectively! You would also need to change colossus to use the Absorb keyword
Hit multiple pity timers, and pretty happy about the quest (as I was considering crafting it soon.) One of the better hauls from a bundle that I have had.
Nice! I did well too. The free legendary + 3 more for a total of 4! (Two of them I had already so they became dust)
PR stunt that had more effort than the nerfs, so far. Please don't underwhelm when the nerfs are announced.
Proud to say I've been spouting the mana-cost cheat nerf Kripp recently suggested to Mountain Giant/Conjurer's Calling for MONTHS. If it's a 4-mana drop, get 4-mana minions. Keeps the RNG nature of the card legit, instead of being fixed dice rolls that consistently land in the small pool of big minions. And it would keep mountain giant for handlock, if it gets to be viable again. But yeah, it's probably more work than the coding guys want to do than "change mana cost of Conjurer's Calling."
/when the hell did priests' arms get on the nerf radar?
//Hunter is overdue for nerfs btw; they're all I'm seeing instead of these warriors people claim are ruining their day. Wouldn't mind the warriors anyway -- Blizzard stats e-mailed to me from last month: I beat warrior 92%. And I play different types of control decks. Yeah yeah, meta changed, all that, but allegedly, Control Warrior hasn't changed in most people's eyes. (Taunts and extra full board clears give it some chance vs. mage, priest and King Phaoris shenanigans).
Wow, might be, I'm pretty good at having bad luck. The other day, I had 10 health over 4 minions and also a Blackhowl Gunspire on board, Reno killed all other minions, in order, dealing no damage against the latter.
As the title states I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with unlocking Arthas (Beating the Lich King with every class), using the Uldum standard set. I started playing again this year, last time was during season 1-3, so I have literally zero wild cards and don’t waste dust if I don’t have to.
I have tried google and the real only advice I have seen is to try murlocs or the below. Which idk what the decks would fully look like, besides a pogo rogue.
Priest (Dragons + Inner Fire)
Hunter (Spell Hunter + Mossy Horror) Paladin (Young Dragonhawk + buff + Secrets + small taunts) Rogue (Pogo) Druid (Jade) Shaman (Eggs) Warrior, Warlock and Mage (Alarm-o-Bot + big taunts/minions)

All of the Gron cards need stats upgrades, and I think that there should be fewer steps to get to Grond. Right now, two Ogrons means you are paying 6 Mana to get a 4/6, which your opponent can just kill before it could do anything. The Ogrons could honestly be 3/4s (and the Grons 6 Mana 6/8s) and they would still be underpowered. Then you could get rid of Magnaron and make Colossal an uncollectible 8 Mana 12/16. If you want the Grond concept to be even somewhat playable, the condition needs to be easier to fulfill than Blood of the Ancient One, especially since Grond is so much worse than a 30/30. Even if you removed Magnaron, this combo still requires you to play 4 copies of a 5 Mana Card, which is much more difficult than playing two copies of a 9 Mana Card, for a worse reward. I think it would be much cooler if getting up a "Gron-Level" was a payoff in itself, like if the higher "Gron Levels" had extra useful abilities, like if they all had taunt or something.
I expected a nerf to CC, but Extra Arms is getting renerfed? I am honestly really surprised about the latter change. Well, I kinda hope warrior gets a slight hit too.
[edit] Are they really planning on nerfing Northshire Cleric as well? Jared Noel mentions her in their chat above.
Yeh, the extra arms nerf makes me sad :( it's a fun card to play!

Taking out the secret payoff cards (Secretkeeper, Hyena Alpha, Subject 9, Sunreaver Spy) seems sketchy. The main thing that makes Highlander Hunter good is that they can run the secret package to get a fast start, and then end the game as early as possible with Zephrys the Great, Dinotamer Brann or Zul'jin. Taking out those tempo cards in place of a bunch of high cost minions goes against what makes Brann good.
I think Malygos Hunter can work for sure, but I probably wouldn't go the highlander route. The payoff just doesn't seem as valuable as it is for normal Secret Hunter.

If Luna's Pocket Galaxy isn't nerfed I might quit. That card is destroying this game. It is such an "I win" card
Extra Arms
Buff Arms, we hardly knew ye.
How long do you play your own decks for?

I certainly agree. This is mainly just for fun :) I’m trying to figure out how to improve it while keeping the Highlander theme and malygos.
Somehow doing decent in casual but it’s casual so there’s that
