I'll have a better idea on the balance after thinking about it some more, but holy shit is this a cool idea. My Spider spell is so lame by comparison :/
Here's my first take on it, which I'm not even sure if it counts.
You basically split the minion into a vanilla minion and a spell. For instance, Novice Engineer would look like this:
Of course, there are a few things to clarify:
Effects that aren't Battlecries are kept with the body. This includes stuff like Taunt, Deathrattles or triggered effects.
Effects that target the minion itself (like buffs) can target any friendly minion. For instance, Frostwolf Warlord's Spirit would give a friendly minion stats equal to the number of minions you control.
I initially thought the Spirit would cost 1 and the Body, the original Cost -1, but that would be broken with strong Battlecries like Shudderwock. Maybe the right call is to simply split the Cost, with the Body rounding up and the Spirit rounding down for odd values.
I like the effect on paper, but maybe it's too dangerous and I should try something safer, dunno.
EDIT: Maybe Warlock would be a good fit too, since he can benefit from removing bad Battlecries from their minions. Flavor would also work, as extracting a minion's soul seems very Warlock-y.
Millhouse the Great can give you some longer lasting board impact from your spells by making them into minions, though something you'll have to watch out for is that sometimes you might get a minion/spell combination that doesn't work particularly well together. If a targeted spell changed into a minion with a targeted Battlecry, both of those effects will have the same target.
Brutus the Strongarm is incredibly strong and can hold basically anything of any size, so he can grab your minions and smack your opponent with them. Now that Remornia, Living Blade is a thing, we have a precedence for how an effect like this would work. Beside Brutus is an example of what would happen if you equip Frothing Berserker as a weapon (part of your crazy Whirlwind strategy). Most keywords like Taunt, Divine Shield, or Stealth don't do anything on a weapon since the effect is applied to the weapon and not your hero.
This is Petting Zoo for the Rogue, by way of the Spider from Sticky Situation. Infusing it allows you to double down on the effect, after a delay. Not sure if that's worth it or not, when you can just have the first wave of Spiders immediately :/ I'll have to think about it some more.
Edit: I also made a 3-mana version that's less akin to Petting Zoo and more like Occult Conjurer. Probably needs to cost 4, too, but I'll leave it at 3 so people can readily tell the difference in their feedback and whatnot.
When I heard about the prompt, I challenged the idea of creating a weapon that could become a location, because it didn't really make much sense to me. This is my attempt at it: the Sword of Sargeras is legitimately a (gigantic) weapon and a place in WoW, having been driven into the planet by the mad Titan himself.
"plunge the Sword into Azeroth" is a flavorful way of saying "transform into a location".
The Start of Game is to warn the opponent that you're going for it, so you can't drop the location out of nowhere.
Yeah, I know it's a mess.
No, I'm not going with it for my submission lol.
The Legendary dragon on the location looks, awful, by the way. Hopefully we'll see a legit one soon-ish so Hearthcards can fix that.
IF it has Stealth and not Stealth for a turn, then this is pretty damned good. The idea of The Coin helping you drop this first turn leaves a 3/4 for your opponent to deal with. Late game, not the best value ... but still at least worth something.
The only things I am not a fan of with this minion is that there isn't a larger pool of secrets and there isn't a different pay off for deck thinning. If there was something like what Warlock had with Blood Shard Bristleback. The secrets that are in standard don't really play into that mentality either. I'm hopeful that something will come out to help this.
Not sure how it works exactly, but it sounds like Okani but as a Secret. Disruption is always good, but I wonder if a 2-mana counterspell for minions is good enough. I guess it has to be if Secret Rogue is to exist.
So essentially all of the rogue cards have been revealed? Shame, kinda hoping one of the secrets would at least coincide with the miracle mechanic like adding coins to your hand or something. Ah well, the secrets package that they introduced aren't too shabby anyways.
At first I thought this was too basic to be good, but then I remembered how good Cat Trick still is and this is way better for tempo (because you can trade as well as go face) and now it loooks better.
Also props for contiuing the bizarre trend of giving Rogue spider related cards every once in a blue moon.
The mechanics aren't clear from the wording, but I'm not sure that everything this card does could ever fit in its text. That means the alternative would be to not make this card at all, which would be a shame, because I love the flavor of it.
This is just a card that you'll have to try out to know how it works exactly. I don't think that's a problem, you have to experiment with cards anyway to know if they're good in a particular deck and when the best time is to play them.
Since this is a secret, as an opponent you either already know the card and can play around it, or the card is new to you and the first thing you can react to is the sack on the board, which does explain clearly how it works.
Not bad. Play it on curve while a Secret is up and you just gained double stats.
I feel like the main problem will actually be keeping secrets up until turn 4 because most of them look like they are very easily triggered (which is good for tempo, but bad for Halkias)
Wouldn#t be surprised if he ends up decent but eventually gets dropped because of too much inconsistency.
Yeah. Part of me feels like I don’t need a major shake-up, because the current expansion is only two months old and seem pretty fresh. But even so, this one doesn't feel like it’s offering much…
Anti deathrattle synergy? Looks very much like it. This is the level where deathrattle support for rogue has sunken to.
As for the card itself. Its fairly bad, but with so few secrets if you're playing secret rogue you'll probably just play this in your deck to mess with your opponent's play rather than rely on the card itself.
The point is that much like Blademaster Okani and cards of the like, no player worth their salt would gamble on it so its only main job is preventing your opponent from playing efficiently. Unfortunately, they can easily just play a spell to test for Sticky Situation and will then know exactly what this is. Or alternatively, just let you kidnap a useless minion and thereafter forget about it, and you're one slot smaller on board, on top of having your deathrattle synergy completely ruined.
I´m at lvl 200 right now (with full log) with 95% SC achievements done (thankfully they´ve finally fixed the Immolate one), expecting to end the season more or less around lvl 230, which would be my lowest yet - my previous end levels were 250+. I´ve missed a couple Ranked Weeklies (not feel like playing these past weeks), and haven´t had a friend quest for a half a year now, so there´s that. I´ve maxed another merc, so I´m at 19 now, with 25 hoarded merc packs. My gold count is at 8,3k which is nice I guess, getting ready/excited for the new expansion. I even left an Arena run opened just in case, heh. Let´s goooo :D
A lot of people are overestimating Annie's capabilities imo, especially in Control decks. The only reason she's there is because of Ravenbloom Conservatory which is a strong card but not overpowered. However, I'm also biased since I find it a fun build-around card. If it does become an issue anyways, it's relatively easy to tweak its number by increasing the countdown.
As for Bard, I had a feeling this was coming the moment I saw his Origin. The issue with Bard is that he has 6 cards in his "region" so they gave him a really strong effect in return to balance it out, resulting in a very awkward card to play deckbuild if his effect is not strong enough but too easy if his effect is too strong (like rn). I feel like they could make his start of round effect into something more like Jhin's where you get Chimes when you behold him and when you play something.
Probably something like:
For each Bard that started the game in your deck, plant a Chime in your deck when you play a unit while you Behold Bard.
A bit wordy but I think it's a lot better than what it is right now.

Just a simple one for this week, there's some more complex versions in store, but I would like some feedback on this first.

Halkias is a New Rogue Legendary Card Revealed by Flurry for Murder at Castle Nathria
I thought it looked like a mech at first too, but on closer inspection, it looks more like a living building, so "sinstone golem" sounds right.
We've had sugar elementals, so why not, eh?

I agree that the wording is a bit murky, but Kidnapping should be surprising. You should wonder what the heck is going on.
Also, I love it. I will absolutely be stuffing my opponent's minions in sacks come August.
I envision some sort of RNG achievement to go with it, perhaps: Stuff a legendary minion in a sack.

Feels too awkward with the current secret pool. Unless you coin this out on 3 it's just too slow to matter.
