Perhaps I'm seriously misremebering, but for someone who joined HS well after Renounce Warlock was in Standard, I could have sworn seeing people talk from time to time about how good/strong/fun it was. Was that all in my imagination and the deck was always a hot mess?

Trying it out today and whoo boy - aside from that 50% of the time I don't draw the card at all, the other 45% when I do play it delivers usually a trash fire of mismatched nonsense. I've seen some other people luck out some crazy synergies (one particular person had about 4 rush cards on top of a Spirit of the Rhino so nice for them), but in probably 10 games I don't think I've won a single one.

Was there some secret to playing this deck in that past that I'm missing?

I would like to hear your opinions on Vessina, as I'm thinking about crafting the card, and am always careful with class-specific ones. It's good currently in Evolve Shaman, which I would enjoy to play, but the deck won't last for long. Do you think similar archetypes will be viable in Standard after evolve goes back to wild?

I play Wild also. Do you think the card's power level is enough to warrant play in Wild? Should be good in Even Shaman, but haven't played Wild in a long time, so I would like to hear your experiences with or against it.

Felt games ended way more quickly than they should've the hp pool seems really low, every attack to nexus is much stronger than in hs, been playing an aggressive discard deck (draven + jinx) and almost gone undefeated also augmented experimenter is a card that I am not sure how it even left the planning table that card not only is a jinx activator and a refill he deals 3 damage on top of that? also not restricted to followers?

I will explain it's effect: 6 mana: 3/3 (the stat value are slightly higher than in hs so it's 3.5 drop stats) discard your whole hand and draw 3 cards then deal 3 damage.

the only counter to it is deny(from ionia, 3 cost burst spell) or to recall it's target, ye this card does too much.

I mean sure the game isn't even in beta but I already got a feeling that such aggressive decks are way too good, also most people say "there's an advantage to the defender" well.. there is no advantage if the defenders get killed by burst spells and quick attack followers/champions.

I think aggro might be too good, but that being said I didn't face any actual control deck yet, maybe, I am not sure what is a control deck.. freljord?

All that being said probably played mostly against people who never played card games before, and I am probably too hung on this deck that is  easy to build/pilot and is probably just beating unexperienced players rather than being strong, except the 6 drop that is stupid strong.

I wanted to just keep everyone in the loop where we're at when it comes to support multiple card games on the site.

As you've probably seen, we've begun to cover Legends of Runeterra, a card game from Riot Games which uses the lore of League of Legends. Right now, it is not possible to avoid seeing these articles on the homepage. I know this may be an inconvenience for some of you that only play Hearthstone, but do know that this is temporary. I am working on a solution that will allow logged-in users to customize their homepage preferences and logged-out users to at least be able to hide articles from other games.

Legends of Runeterra appeared out of nowhere so we were a bit unprepared for this. We're still looking to add Magic Arena support to the site by the end of year, so don't worry magic fans, we're with you on that!

The Navigation will be receiving a large update that will allow for game selection. We'll likely let logged-in users select their default navigation. The homepage will also be receiving a change at some point that will become generalized to all the titles we support and not just Hearthstone specific. At this time, we'll add in dedicated landing pages for all the games we support that will showcase things like decks, events, and discussions. We'll also give logged-in users the ability to convert the site homepage to one that supports only one game if they would like to.

I know some may not be a fan of us supporting multiple games, but it has been a goal of ours since the beginning. Especially when you see how Hearthstone can do so many things wrong, should the game every die we'd hate to lose the community we've created. Only good things can come from having multiple games supported on the site!

We'll likely be looking for some new volunteers to help with Legends of Runeterra, so if you're interested in that stay tuned for more information and be sure to stay active on the forums and discord! Anyone who is active on the site, showing their knowledge and helping out others is more likely to join our awesome team. We're also eventually going to look for people who want to help cover Magic Arena before we start on that, so stay tuned there as well.

I have gotten a Mytic wild card, which card would be a good card to use this on? Haven't really figures my playstyle yet, but thought the 8 mana orange/blue mytic that gives all minions +2/+2 and overrun sounds good. 

What would be your suggestions.

So I'm just gonna try to predcit how the 23 Wild cards will impact all 9 classes. I'm mostly doing this to see what applications other people think of and if I missed certain combos. Anyways, here goes.

Druid

Quest Druid has gotten another very powerful tool with Kun the Forgotten King. At face value, he doesn't look very immpressive, seeing how it'S still just a 0-mana 7/7 at turn 10 only...but thanks to the Quest you also get 10 Armor, which can be very relevant in a lot of matchups, not to mentiont that the body will usually demand an answer fro your opponent. Even if he ends up not being included in the deck (although I don't see why he wouldn't) you're probably still going to have to account for him appearing through Discovery

Astral Communion will probably not have any impact. I don't know why they gave us this over something potentially more interesting. There's just not even enough big cards that would warrant running this. At best you could run it in a Quest deck and hope you don't brick after dumping your hand. One saving grace might be Overflow, but I doubt it will be enough.

Ragnaros the Firelord, Sylvanas Windrunner and [Hearthstone Card (N'zoth the Corruptor) Not Found] could find their way into Quest Decks, but there is little overall synergy.

Emperor Thaurissan on the other hand, might have some applications, mainly if one were to give [Hearthstone Card (Gonk the Raptor) Not Found] another shot. With Gonk dead you can discount Mad Summoner and double Witching Hour + any number of attack buffs (Claw and Pounce mostly) and actually pull off the combo in one turn without having to RNG the Dreampetal Florist that being said, this is still a 5-7 card combo that requires you to play and kill off a 7-drop (that also cannot be transformed), making it even more inconsistent than Malygos currently is. Not to mention the relatively high amount of combo pieces makes the Quest shell much weaker.

Mage

Now Mage is a pretty interesting case since it'S currently on life support. People don't seem to be that excited about Babbling Book, but I think it could be crucial in making more tempo oriented Mage builds (including Secret Mage) more viable, purely on the basis of being an actual 1-drop for a class that currently has none.

Flamewaker on the other hand feels a bit overhyped. Granted, we can go machinegun with a Sorcerer's Apprentice and a Mana Cyclone for reload, but would be more of a combo deck, not unlike the previous Cylone Mage which isn't all that great at the moment. I still believe Flamewaker is good enough to pick Mage up from the dumpster, but I don't think we're gonna get higher than tier 2.

Regular Tempo Mage also seems a bit weak at the moment...at least too weak to rely entirely on Flamewaker to carry it. Keep in mind that unless you are absolutely certain he won't get removed, you can't actually play Flamewaker on 3, and you need at least apprentice, Ray of Frost, Cyclone and Elemental Evocation to really pop off...in a deck that can't tutor any of the pieces.

Aside from the class cards Emperor Thaurissan is a strong addition to Highlander Mage (since you're usually holding a big hand and it bridges the 7-mana gap in some cases). Furthermore, N'zoth allows for another board refill by just running [Hearthstone Card (Karthut Defender) Not Found], Rotten Applebaum and Sylvanas Windrunner. Ragnaros might find a way in too, but I suspect that would be a bit greedy.

Whatever happens, Mage is certainly going to be much better than it is now, even if just by a little.

Paladin:

Now it's pretty obvious that Secret Paladin is going to return. Both Mysterious Challenger (effectively Subject 9 on steroids) and Avenge (the best secret to keep a lead on the board) should be enough to make the deck at lest playable. The draw issue is pretty much solved, although including both Challenger and Bellringer Sentry will warrant quite a large amount of Secrets. Maybe MC makes its way into Highlander Paladin as well with a Secret heavy build (read: every single available Secret) although I feel like Octosari is still a safer choice.

Much less talked about is the potential Control Paladin, that could "return". Paladin has always been the best class (next to Warlock) to use N'zoth, but it just never took off. A N'zoth that resurrects Tirion Fordring, Sylvanas and Karthut Defenders is probably the best turn 10 play for any lategame deck. What's different this time around is the existence of the Holy Wrath + [Hearthstone Card (Shirvallah the Tiger) Not Found] combo. With just 3 cards you add a 25 damage burst into a control deck, but instead of going the regular way of mowing through your deck we play it slow and grind out the opponent until we finish him off. You can go pretty light on the minion side and just use the best defensive options and a bit of draw with most of the removal spells. The challenge would be to properly balance the amount of removal and actual minions. The biggest problem with this idea would be that most other classes will just end up running N'zoth as well and it's questionable whether the addition of Tirion is enough of an upside to make a difference.

N'zoth could also work in a minion focussed Midrange/lategame deck, maybe even Highlander (just don't run Octosari or you will find a very unfortunate end).

Hunter

Hunter got some very solid additions. Lock and Load is probably not going to be competitive, but makes a very spell heavy Hunter at least worth trying. I can't see it taking up a slot in Highlander however. Value Generation isn't exactly needed for Hunter at the moment.

Call of the Wild on the other hand is way more interesting. It occupies a very interesting mana slot at 9, meaning that you can play it as a set up for Zul'jin which is especially relevant since it mitigates the downside of having to play Zul'jin for tempo/defense without having used Unleash the Beast first. With just this and a few Secrets you will have enough value to stay in the game. Not to mention the card isn't a bad topdeck later on at gives you 5-damage reach.

N'zoth and Sylvanas are also interesting. On one hand you could build a deathrattle centered Highlander build. In this slower variant Emperor Thaurissan might get good value as well. Next to that there's the possibility of reviving mech Deathrattle. Nine Lives is already incredible and Sylvanas onnly makes it better. Going light on the actual deathrattles to get the best possible outcome from N'zoth would also allow for more defensive tools. The main argument for this deck would be that N'zoth being popular makes grindy decks better and requires more value to beat them, which current Highlander Hunter probably can't.

Shaman

I see no real use for Thing from Below. There's just not enough totems at the moment to get any benefit out of it. Evolve on the other hand fits perfectly into all Shaman decks running Mogu Fleshshaper. The combo of Fleshshaper + Mutate is already busted and Evolve just doubles the consistency (next to being even more generally useful in token decks than Mutate).

Shaman can also make good use out of N'zot since Shudderwock essentially gives you a second one. Combine it with lackey generators and Hagatha the Witch you have a solid lategame plan to grind most decks into dust...the question is whether this is a better grinding gameplan than other N'zoth decks.

Rogue

Swashburglar is great for both Quest and Quest-less thief Rogue. It essentially makes curving into a Underbelly Fence much easier without the tempo loss of Pilfer (except against other Rogues). As a result it makes the Burgle package a much better inclusion in just about any possible Rogue build. [Hearthstone Card (Shaku the Collector) Not Found] on the other hand is pretty much garbage. It's a slower Blink Fox with stealth + soft taunt being the only upside. Not great when you have to consider that getting a 0-cost Vendetta on turn 3 might be more important.

Once again we have Deathrattle shenanigans. [Hearthstone Card (Anka the Buried) Not Found] allows for shenanigans with Sylvanas (and Anubisath Warbringer), while Shadowstep and [Hearthstone Card (Togwaggle's Scheme's) Not Found] enables complete N'zoth lockdown. The resulting deck might be unbearably slow and bricky, but it's gonna be loads of fun when it pays off. You thought infinite Tess Greymane was a Warrior killer? Let's see how many Sylvanas the can deal with before they give up.

Priest

I'll be honest, I have no idea how Priest is going to turn out. Vol'jin doesn't really have a purpose at the moment. Priest doesn't run 2-damage removal so there's really no point to include him anywhere. Lightbomb is a good additional boardclear which will make the slower Quest/Resurrect builds a bit better against aggro and N'zoth and Sylvanas won't hurt either in that kind of deck. Once again the question remains which class makes the best use of N'zoth.

Warlock

Gul'dan got shafted again. Renounce Darkness is for memes only, obviously, although Zephrys could probably be of use in there (if you get lucky enough to not get too many duplicates, and let's be honest that's kind of why you play the deck in the first place).

Zoo get Imp Gang Boss, which is still one of the most powerful standalone 3-drops in the game which will imrpove their winrate but won't change their palystyle. Highlander Zoo certainly appreciates it.

N'zoth Sylvanas and Ragnaros are very interesting additions to Plot Twist Warlock as both Fel Lord Betrug and Dollmaster Dorian can get incredibly value from them (they can be used to quickly charge your N'zoth with Karthut defenders or Sylvanas). Combine it with Mechanical Whelp and there's a decent strategy. Unfortunately it has to compete with all other potential N'zoth grinders, where it will most likely lose out based on the fact that it hits fatigue way earlier. Personally I'm going to revive my Anubisath-HIr'eek-Omega Agent Handbuff build, because why not, it's not like it's getting any better.

Warrior

Not terribly exciting. Bloodhoof Brave is a potentially cool card for Aggro/Tempo Warrior (specifcally Highlander), but it's probably not proactive enough. Taunt Warrior has unfortunately been nerfed through the discovery nerf, so I don't see that picking up steam all of a sudden. Varian Wrynn could potentially make it viable, but with Tomb Warden and [Hearthstone Card (Frigthened Flunky) Not Found] having pretty much essential battlecries it makes no sense to risk pulling them out on the field.

I also don't believe in Big Warrior. Warrior has no ramp or mana cheating and waiting until turn 10 to actually do stuff is just...not realistic.

Funnily enough, Control Warrior is probably also the least likely class to make good use out of N'zoth. having no class deathrattles means at best you're gonna get a Karthut wall with Sylvanas in a deck that wins the lategame through other means. It might still end up running N'zoth out of necessity just to not get outvalued by all other Deathrattle decks.

I really wish we got [Hearthstone Card (Alexstraza's Champion) Not Found] instead.

Miscellaneous

I currently see no real good use for The Curator. There aren't any good murlocs or dragons outside of tribal decks. Nightmare Amalgam technically gives you two guaranteed draws, but that's not really enough to slot into any deck. The only thing I can come up with would be a) Midrange Dragon Paladin with Murmy and a Mech Package or b) Hooktusk Rogue with the same principle (which is just an inferior version of Tempo/thief Rogue anyways, so no point).

I also can't really imagine Ragnaros in too many decks. He's a good card and there's a reason why he was Hall of Famed, but at this point in the game most decks are so heavily specialized that they have simply no space for a card that doesn't actually synergize with their gameplan. The only exception are Highlander decks of course. Hunter will probably find a place for Rag, purely on the basis of not having an 8-drop, and Mage will probably enjoy having any proactive options. He might be too greedy for Paladin though (although he could be an interesting choice in Quest Paladin....if that deck wasn't dead).

Thaurissan probably has way more combos than I listed, but I don't think most of them will amount to anything more than memes. He's probably best as just a Highlander 6-drop in Mage to smooth out the curve.

Closing thoughts

Writing this I kinda got worried that the meta might become a very one dimensionnal N'zoth slugfest for a while until the best N'zoth class emerges to kick all others off the table...who will then proceed to build the most aggressive decks possible to kill them before turn 10.

Whatever happens, i'm glad that this event exists, even if just to showcase how broken stuff can get with the right tools. If the meta goes completely haywiere at least we only have to wait until November for it to return back to normal. Pretty sure after being N'zoth-locked for 3 weeks straight will make Control Warrior look fun and interactive in comparison.

Hey, folks! I actually wanted to post this in the Video Games subforum yesterday (or earlier today, depends on your time zone) in order to bring some attention to the game, but something went wrong with the upload. So instead, I'll just post here. I'm going to go over the mechanics, settings and economy of the game, then share with you 3 Quality of Life features this game has that, in my opinion, blows everyone out of the water. Cool? Cool!

Mechanics

Before we go any further, some general info about the game:

• The game is out on PC and mobile, as well as browser, in Open Beta
• Both players start with 20 Health
• To win, bring you opponent down to 0
• There's fatigue, but instead of a constant growth (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...), it's exponential by doubling every turn (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, ...)
• There's no mulligan, but each player starts with 7 cards.

Combat and deck-building

The game is pretty similar to both HS and Magic in many respects, but very different in others. (they even ask you about both games during the tutorial). The board is divided into 7 lanes per player, each lane allowing you to play one minion. A minion can attack in the lane opposite to it, or in any of the two adjacent lanes. Here's what the board looks like:

My guy is the 2/3, while my opponent has the 2/2. My guy can attack in front of him, front-left or front-right. Attacking an unoccupied lane deals damage to the opponent directly, but you can't do that unless all 3 lanes in front of a minion are free (aka the lanes are blocked, and the minions are called blockers, like the 2/2), or your minion has a special ability that lets you bypass that. You can also move your character on either adjacent lane, but you won't be able to attack anymore. 

In terms of decks, you have 6 colours - Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, Orange, Purple - that you can combine however you like in a deck of 40, but realisticly you can only go with 2, mayyyyybe 3 colours for reasons I will explain in the next section. The amount of duplicates is tied to rarity, there are for rarities, Common (to which I will be calling Bronze from now on), Uncommon (I'll call Silver), Rare (I'll call Gold) and Mythic. You can have 4 Bronzes, 3 Silvers, 2 Golds and 1 Mythic of the same card in your deck.

Some minions also have abilities that can be activated for a certain cost (mana, gems, part of their life etc.), and you can still attack afterwards. A minion activating it's ability looks like this:

Hand size in Mythgard is 10, but instead of discarding cards when you go above that limit, you can draw to your heart's content, then discard at the end of your turn until you only have 10 left in hand.

Mana... and Gems

This is where things get VERY different from other card games. Here's what a card looks like in Mythgard:

Pretty standard, right? You have your Attack and Health at the bottom and the cost in the upper-left corner (the 4 dots in the upper-right corner represents the rarity, as well as the number of duplicates you can have in your deck of that card). If that number up there makes you think "oh, like Magic", you're wrong. Mana and Gems are two different resources in the game. Here's what the mana bar looks like:

The big number is the Mana you have left, the small one is the total amount, and the 3 symbols are your gems. When you play a card, you spend that card's amount of Mana, and consume the required Gems. Here's what the bar looks like after I play the Thane:

As you can see, I've spent two Mana and one of the Blue Gems is grayed out.

You can also see that my temporary Mana circle isn't glowing, and the flames above it are gone. The first one is an indicator that I haven't "Burned" a card yet, while the second is an indicator that I have. This is how you gain resources in the game.

To Burn a card, simply drag it over the Gem bar, and it will be shuffled back into your deck, giving you one Mana and a Gem of the same colour as the ring around the card's cost. If you draw the card again, it will be "Burnt", and you can't burn it again. Here's what a burnt card (right) looks next to an unburnt one (left):

Cards can have between 1 and 3 gems, and there are dual color cards that have 2 or 4 (1 or 2 of each color). Youc can have a maximum of 10 gems.

Enchantments and Artefacts

Now that we've covered the basics, let's get into some of the more unique aspects of the game.

Enchantments are special cards that you play over the lanes that grant special abilities to the minions occupying it or affect the board in other meaningful ways. Here's how an enchanted lane looks like(from left to right: not enchanted, enchanted, enchanted and occupied):

Artefacts are cards that you play once in order to gain a passive ability, or an ability that you activate under certain conditions. They don't occupy a space on the board and have a certain durability that decreases as you take damage. (they do NOT offer extra protection). Here's what it looks like in game (next to my profile picture), as well as an artefact card:

As you can see, Artefacts only have a single number at the bottom representing durability. If you have multiple artifacts, your most recent one will be the one taking damage.

Powers and Paths

Powers are... basically the same as in Hearthstone: small abilities that you can use anytime for a certain Mana cost (most 2, one of them 3). They don't require gems, and are noticeably weaker than their HS counterparts.

More interesting are the Paths. Those are passive abilities that just do stuff on their own, and some of them can get REALLY convoluted. Most of them require a deck to build around. Here's an example of a Path:

This is probably the most straight-forward and general-use of all Paths in the game. All of them give you a bonus life at the start, and all have a Pursuit effect, that activates if you go second.

Both Powers and Paths are independent of your colour, and you can combine them however you like.

Setting

So, we've talked about the mechanics, but what's the setting of the world? Where does all this happen?

Best way to describe it: ancient myths and legend in a modern world. You have giants sinking ships and towering over gas stations, a biker gang of Valkyries, military werewolves, dragons flying next to commercial airplanes, undead vikings at docks, aztech space destroyers and, if you're playing purple, everything anime.

Quality of Life

Finally, let me tell you about the quality of life in this game. There are a few nifty ones that are cool (being able to rearrange cards in hand, you can see the full art of the cards in you collection, deck importing and exporting, a really good Twitch overlay etc.), but there are 3 that I feel are just incredible:

Featured Decks

In the game client, under the "Decks" menu, when you go to the far left, there are two decks with an Orange border. Those are Featured Decks: a couple of community Decks that change every Monday and Friday that you can play even if you don't have all the cards. This is amazing for new players, as they have a new deck to play even with a small collection. Just a fair warning, those aren't necessarily the BEST decks, just the most interesting ones. (at the moment of writing, one of the decks is a highlander, despite there being no cards that benefit from that)

Built-in Deck Tracker

Yes, you've read that right. The game has a deck tracker built into itself. All you have to do is press the arrow on the far right side of your screen, and BOOM!, you can see all your cards, as well as your opponent's (that you know of).

Built-in Replay

Finally, there's the replay function that you can find in you profile. If you go to history, and click on the little eye, you can rewatch the game you've played. And if your opponent played a particularly interesting deck, you can see HIS ENTIRE DECKLIST in the aforementioned tracker. It's not perfect (there's no timeline, and it'd be nice to be able to favourite matches or export your opponent's deck), but it's better than most offerings.

Job's Done

And that's about it for me! If you want to try the game yourself, you can do so in the browser version as a guest before you make an account, but I do suggest playing on a client afterwards. If you want to learn more about the game, WathsUpWoody has a few very good guides on his channel.

As a fanatic card creator, I've been making quite a bit of cards through the times. This is a place where i will be uploading new cards, alongside some that have been well received over the times.

As for my first post i will show you the two cards i'm the most proud that i've made. Feel free to ask any questions, or post any feedback in this thread :D

This isn't a rant about power, or even frustration. This is about design space. I think that Frost Nova seriously limits the design space of freeze effects for Mage. With Frost Nova and Blizzard, Mage has insane board locking presence. They can prevent all enemy minions from attacking up to four times. That's totally balanced, but it means that you really can't print another mass freeze effect (at least not one with a bonus effect worth using). Being able to do that six times is far too much. With both cards being Classic, that's an entire design that that's just... not viable.

Obviously if Nova were to go, it would have to be prefacing a set where Blizzard was intending to add another mass freeze. That makes the most sense.

The reason I think Nova should go over Blizzard is because it's cheaper and has no other effects, which makes it harder to balance. Also, Blizzard is too entertaining to cut from Standard. I also know that Cone of Cold exists, but that's just a worse Frost Nova (ergo, a side effect that's not worth using). Maybe without Nova, Cone of Cold could even see play - that might be interesting.

Thoughts? Do you agree or am I talking out of my ass?

Hey guys, is anyone else having problems with the new portraits? I got Druid, Rogue and Warrior but none of them "register" when I go play

I managed to get from rank 8 to 3 with an N'zoth warlock,but I'm either very unlucky or the deck doesn't work anymore.Either way i tried climb with Big/Quest Priest(missing cloning Gallery) and a bit of quest shaman but it only brought me back to low rank 4.

I also thought about crafting vessina for an evolve shaman,but I'm kinda poor right now.

I would love to know what decks you guys used to get to legend this month.

As a lot of decks feature some kind of N'Zoth+Sylvannas+Khartut Defender-package right now, so how do you counter this massive swing turns? Especially resurection priest does really unholy things with some spells drawn into the mix. 

So, to counter this, has anybody tried Mojomaster Zihi? I suppose she could be good in a rogue deck, where you can bounce and shuffle her back, ever denying a 9 or 10 manaplay for your opponent.

What would then be my decks win condition? Please contribute with any ideas you may have how to build a deck that never reaches 9/10 mana, and capitalises on a opponent's full hand, as well has some cheap resource generation.

So - We start the Plague Lord on chapter 3 and she says something like "We cannot do this in one run, but at least we can weaken it".

Great article on Mythgard Hub for anyone starting out in the game. 

I'll probably do a thread with various sites and streamers, as well as an article on the economy of the game the following days, today I've just haven't had the time. 

In this thread, I'm going to talk about Paths and Powers in Mythgard. Think of them as "build your own class": a Path is independent of it's Power, and both are independent of the 6 colors. You choose them when you make a deck, as if they were cards. You can make your deck without using either, but you'd just put yourself at an unnecessary disadvantage. Both of them are unlocked as you level up.

Powers

They're very similar to Hero Powers in Hearthstone, though with a significantly lower power level. I wont't spend too much time on them, since they're pretty self explanatory. The Power is represented in game by the circle on the right, with the number below being it's cost.

Our first Power is Impel. The '2' in the cost of the power. This is a really good general purpose Power. Can be used to get a minion out of harm's way, or get closer to an enemy for a kill (remember that most minions can't move and attack on the same turn). Particularly good with Teleport (move to any lane).

Really good in aggro decks, kills your opponent faster.

In my opinion, the worst power in the game. it's the only one to cost 3 mana, and you have to banish a card from the grave to get it's effect, a measly 1/1. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something.

Really good control Power, and the one with the most potential value.

Really good comeback power. If a self-damage deck ever emerges, I imagine this is going to be it's choice.

Good Power for info gathering, though I haven't seen it played much. (Divination X = Look at the top X cards of your deck. Pick one to put on top and the rest on bottom.)

Paths

This is where things get a little complicated. Paths are passives that you benefit from throughout the game. All of them give you extra life at the start of the game, with values ranging from 3 to 8 (so a player can have between 23 and 28 life at the start of the game), and the all have a Pursuit: an effect that activates if you go second. Paths are represented in game by 3D models like the one below, situated at the sides of the game board. Yours is to the left, while your opponent's is to the right. You can hover your mouse over to see what it is. This representation might change in the near future.

The most general-use Path in the game. The first season will always be Spring, and then it will change at the start of each turn. This means that, if you go second, you'll have 20+4+2+1=27 Health (assuming the enemy doesn't damage you). On your second turn, it's Summer all your minions would be healed for 1. On your third turn, Fall draws a card, which is probably the most potent of the effects. 

On your fourth turn, Winter comes and the one negative effect takes place. Fragile 1 means your minions take 1 extra damage from all sources. This is also the only ongoing effect of the card, and it can catch a lot of people off-guard, even veterans.

After this, the cycle starts anew. There are a few ways to tell what the current season is:

• You can look at the 3D model of the card.
• You can hover over the model and read the current season on the card.
• There's a small icon above your portrait with SP, SM, F or W, depending on the season

The Path of the Aggro. Also the one that offers the least amount of life at the start of the game, and he only one without any form of card draw. To explain how the card works, let's pretend you start second:

• You start with 2 souls. You can check the number of souls by hovering over the 3D model of the path, or from the tiny icon above your portrait.
• After one of your minions dies, you gain 1 more soul, putting you at 3.
• At the start of your turn, the souls are set to 0 and you get the minion on the bottom of your deck back
• Rinse and repeat.

Important to note that you'll never get more than one minion on a turn, even if you have more souls. For example, if you have 7 souls at the start of your turn, they're reduced to 4 and you get one minion back.

The Path of Power, and the least played one at the moment, simply because it has no deck that really takes advantage of it. The Path always starts at night, so the first time you use your Power, you'll have to discard a card (it switches to day), and ALL minions, including your opponent, have Slayer 1, which means they do 1 extra damage to other minions when they battle, and this effect persists until you use your power again. When you do, you get to look at the top 2 cards of your deck and draw it, and all your minions get to heal if they don't attack. 

The Path isn't necessarily bad, but like I said, there's really no deck that takes advantage from it.

The Path of Enchantments. Really good if you run about 6-9 enchantments. Any less, and you don't really get the benefit from this. Any more, and your deck risks not having enough steam. The first effect (after the life gain) helps you get your Enchantments and cycles trough your deck faster. The one right bellow it is a really good way to replace your early game Enchantments with late game ones for, while also giving some mana. For example, Blue has an Enchantment that gives the minion on top +1/+1,and another that gives it +3/+3. Late game, you might want to replace the small one with the big.

Finally, The Path of Artifacts. Also the most convoluted one. Let's go trough this step by step:

• You play an Artifact.
• This gives you 1 Energy (the lightning bolt), which means you'll get a 1 Mana 1/1 Forgeling. This is what they are:                                                                
• The Forgelings are ALWAYS created in this order. The first one you'll get will be Tempered, the second Rotary, the third Molten, the fourth Tempered etc. Ephemeral means that when it leaves the battlefield (destroyed in battle, returned to hand, shuffled in deck etc.), it will be instantly banished. If that happens, the Demise effect won't trigger, unless it's killed proper. The rest of their abilities are, in order (those don't scale with the minion, thei always stay at 1-2-2):
  • Reduce the damage taken by one.
  • When attacking, deal 2 damage to the adjacent enemy lanes (minions that are there or the opponent, if there aren't).
  • Restore 2 Health to this at the end of your turn.
• When you play a Forgeling, the effect of the Path activates, and you get to look at the top card of your decks. You can choose any Artifacts to draw, and if there are none, you still get to know what your next 4 cards are.
• Repeat from step one :)

And that's how this works. I hope I made it clear for you, like I said, this Path is quite convoluted. Like with the Rainbow before it, the best number of Artifacts is about 6-9, maybe 5-10.

Below, I will copy/paste the battle skills that units can have. The information below is also available at this link. These are also keywords, but they specifically give abilities to units that are in play.

Aegis: Protected from one enemy spell or effect (but not from battle damage).

Berserk: When this attacks, you may give it Reckless to attack a second time this turn. Can only be used once.

Charge: Can attack the turn it is played.

Deadly: Kills any unit it damages.

Double Damage: Deals double damage.

Endurance: Ready's on each player's turn, and can't be stunned or exhausted by spells or effects.

Exalted: When this unit dies, play a weapon with its / and other battle skills on one of your units.

Flying: Can only be blocked by other units with flying.

Killer: May be exhausted one time to attack any enemy unit.

Lifesteal: When this deals damage, you gain that much .

Overwhelm: When this hits an enemy unit, leftover damage is dealt to the enemy player.

Quickdraw: When this kills a blocking unit, the blocker doesn't deal damage back.

Reckless: This must attack.

Revenge: The first time this is killed, give it Destiny and put it into the top ten cards or your deck.

Unblockable: Cannot be blocked.

Warcry: When this attacks, the top unit or weapon of your deck gets +1/+1.

These are other skills a unit can have, but they are not exactly "battle skills," since they are relevant even when the unit is not in play. (Again, copy pasted from the link above.)

Ambush: Can be played (directly from your hand) to block an enemy attack, or at the end of their turn.

Bond: When played, you may exhaust another unit of the same type to reduce this card’s cost by the exhausted unit’s .

Destiny: Automatically play when drawn, then draw another card.

Echo: Get an additional copy when drawn.

Pledge: On your first turn, a card with Pledge can be played as a Sigil.

Voidbound: This card can't leave the void.

Warp: You can play this from the top of your deck.
