I got 2 classic packs on Friday and 5 suo packs Saturday. I had the stream open all the time. Didn't even shut down at night. Since our newborn son couldn't sleep I had to stay awake anyway for the 3 days.
hhqahah you are a liar tehy did not drop cllassic packs ;
This weekend i left the stream open uninterruptedly and only got 2 or 3 packs, which is not that bad to be honest, since i already stopped buying packs for this expansion.
Only watched yesterday and got 1 pack. FeelsFineMan I didnt get any from last weekend though despite that I watched satur-sun.
I wonder how many of the viewers that have actually tied their bnet account to their twitch. Hard to estimate your odds without this knowledge, but looking from people's experience, chances seem slime
Can I just say something that might help those that are not getting packs.
You might just be unlucky which is very possible, I personally only got two packs but I learned something that helped.
If you have the volume muted (so there is an X over the volume button) you are not counted as a viewer on Twitch and therefore not eligible for packs. I say this as I know there are lots of people (including myself in the past) that had a tab open and muted just so I was 'watching' the stream.
You can have the volume right down to just above the minimum and that still works. I don't know whether muting the tab (in Chrome) works or not, it should but I've not tried it.
I first heard about it on a Hearthstone podcast I was listening to as they were talking about the Twitch drops. However, I have tried to find it in Twitch's T&C and I cannot find it anywhere. Some people on reddit tested it and found it to be true by seeing if the viewer was lost when a stream was muted. Then there are others saying that's not the case *shrug*.
I am not sure it would be something Twitch would advertise anyway. It could also be down to Chrome and nothing to do with Twitch.
I'll go with just turning the volume down if I'm not actively watching it just in case. I usually watch all the EU / NA games I can anyway.

That's interesting, but what I can add is that I have muted tab (of course not all the time cos I was watching too) and it was work.

I use Chrome, been watching all the streams so far ~6 hours per day by average. I just left my PC on and I MUTED the stream. I watched a few games, though, and so far I have received 4 packs.

Muting the tab in Chrome - works well.
I do it this way - volume on Twitch player set on minimum possible (just so there's no "X" icon), video quality set on minimum (160p).
And then right click on Twitch tab in Chrome - "mute site". That's it. You don't have to be active, just make sure the stream is playing in the background. Setting video quality on lowest possible value lets you use less CPU / internet resources as well (well, if you care about that).
I collected 7 packs this way so far. Week 1 -> 4 packs. Week 2 -> 3 packs :)
6 SoU packs up till now and you are right, i looked it up, there haven't been any classic packs in my twitch notification. Don't know where they came from.

Yes!! I got a total of 5 packs. One of them with the new mage quest :)!
Last weekend I got lucky: 2 packs on Friday, 2 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday.
Missing lethal since February 2014.

Could you please add some proof of that? Because i had the stream muted for the most part of the time and i still got packs.
I had the tab open and muted for ~27h, and didn't get any. Last week I received two with the same practise.

I got a pack two days ago despite the stream being mostly muted. Pretty sure I got packs while muted during season 1 as well.

I think 1 pack per week is max
