March of the Lich King is Hearthstone's third and final expansion in the Year of the Hydra and is releasing on December 6, 2022.

March of the Lich King Quick Info

March of the Lich King expansion contains 145 new collectible cards.
March of the Lich King releases on December 6, 2022.
Winter is Coming - This expansion marks the debut of the Death Knight, Hearthstone’s 11th class.
New Minion Tribe: Undead
- Those who have perished still have some use!
- After Naga, Undead is the second new minion tribe introduced in the Year of the Hydra.
- Undead represents the various forms of dead minions that have been brought back to life.
- This new minion type has strong synergies with other Undead minions dying before they’re played.
Minion cards can now belong to two tribes.
- For example, Patches the Pirate is no longer just a Pirate, but also a Demon.
New Keyword: Manathirst
- With an expansion that has a major focus on Blood Elves and Silvermoon, mana had to play a decisive role.
- Manathirst: (X) cards do something extra when you have (X) mana crystals available - they do not spend that (X) mana, but they just become more powerful at a certain point in the game.

Question - does Manathirst count as a Battlecry? For instance, could Shaman double Crystal Broker's effect?

Nope: Manathirst can be seen as Combo - here's a tweet from Celestalon that explains it.

Manathirst can just be thought of like Combo. It's an optional additional effect that happens when played, unless otherwise stated. Brann doesn't normally affect Combo, but a Brann'd Perdition's Blade would do 2 twice.

Thanks, Avalon! By that logic, I suppose Astalor Bloodsworn's Manathirst effect could happen twice? Or would it only happen on cards like Sunfury Clergy, with the 'instead' qualifier?

If I get that right, you'd get double Battlecry and single Manathirst.
Unless the Manathirst changes the Battlecry, they are separate effects.

Astalor would happen only once as its attached to a different effect, it would add itself twice to your hand, though.

So you'd be correct on the instead part, since Sunfury Clergy changes its battlecry from heal 3 to 6 with manathirst active.

- 2 cards with 1x Blood Rune
- 0 cards with no runes
Summary: of all DK cards:
- Path of Arthas set is more Frost rune focused
- Core set is more Unholy rune focused
- March of the Lich King is more Blood rune focused.

In their own sets technically: Path of Arthas and Core. As the expansion packs for Lich King will only contain 10 DK cards total.
