I'm not entirely happy with The Frozen Throne using "graveyard". I've heard of the term before, but it just wouldn't make sense to me if Blizzard used it instead of "that died this game". Regardless, I prefer Orgrimmar. Last time it felt a little extreme since locations were only just introduced, but this time that's exactly what the prompt is about.
Demon
Spell remembering effects are always cool, so I think you should go with Bastion Arch. The Guardian Monoliths is probably the least interesting option and Tree of Ardenweald seems very expensive compared to Rune Dagger.
CursedParrot
This is a very cool disruption card. Do note that when a card that summons minions specifies both the amount and stats, the amount should be spelled out (so "two 1/1"). This is because "2 1/1" can look a little convoluted. That doesn't apply for your card because there's an enter between them, but you should still change it to stay consistent with the game.
Bartigul
Solid card. Exactly the kind of effect I'd expect for a Legendary location. Nothing to add that hasn't been said already.
BasilAnguis
As others have mentioned, it's severely overpriced. Can probably go down to 2. And although better than most screenshots, you could probably find better art. I like Wailor's idea of something like a time rift. That would fit the effect well. Hall of Explorers maybe?
FooBars
I like the use of "while this was active" to set it apart from Revive Pet. We haven't seen anything like that on location cards yet.
2 durability would be plenty considering you won't be able to use it right away and will probably resummon the same Beast each time anyway. And 1 Mana still feels slightly inexpensive to me, since without the extra requirement this would most likely be a 4-Cost.
There's no escape from the Violet Hold!... Unless they need to make room for a new prisoner apparently.
@linkblade91 Is there any particular reason why The Phoenix Chamber doesn't simply let you choose the target? Nevermind, it's obviously against stacking the effect with its own summon.
Thanks for all the feedback. I've got a version in quite happy with now.
Feedback
linkblade
I'm not a fan of the player having to choose the target first. It's the bad kind of RNG where you don't know whether it's the right target until after you've already committed to it.
Demon
Based on other people's reasoning I think 4 Mana is balanced but not extremely desirable. I like 3 Mana with a higher Infuse cost. Those can maybe balance each other out.
Me0203
I like Naga Spellguard best. It seems fun to play. I think Gorebringer also has a cool effect, bit is quite powerful in its current state.
CursedParrot
I prefer Scrapmetal Avenger, although endlessly Infuse isn't something I'd expect to see on a common card. And it's also a bit more complex than Stoneborn Accuser, so I'd argue it should be a Rare.
Corpse Researcher is quite weak. The Infuse doesn't give it much extra value. I also don't think type synergy for any minion type should count as Undead or Naga synergy for this comp.
sunbird1002
Welcome to the feedback thread! I quite like Bonehull and Anub'arak. They have very unique effects, which is always a plus for me. Suspicious Angler also puts a nice twist on the "Suspicious" effect, but those are simply not as exciting to begin with.
I think it'd be a good idea to have Bonehull Dredge a card first and then leave a Sunken Treasure in its place. This works well with the flavor and since you wouldn't want to dredge the treasure when it hasn't gotten any stronger yet, it currently only really lets you pick from two cards.
An important thing about Colossal minions that's often overlooked is that the main body and the limbs always have synergizing effects, so if the limbs buff Taunt minions, the main body should have Taunt. I also think it's somewhat on the strong side considering there's 16 Health of Taunt + a Reborn in the way of the heavy hitting body. Giving the main body Taunt will make it easier to get rid of while still giving the player plenty on the board.
We've been seeing some very cool prompts this season, although this one is indeed a little tough. Yet, I'm quite happy with this find:
I do recognize that it's quite the upgrade from Embalming Ritual, so it might need an increase in stats. My thoughts here are that Paladin just isn't very likely to abuse the Reborn itself, like we're used to from Priest, and has to rely on setting up buffs first to make the effect worthwhile. Please let me know your thoughts on that.
Defying my initial expectations, most people seem to like my second version of Anduin. I think I'll submit it as a 5-cost. I'd like it to still be somewhat of a dedication to play. Might still change my mind later and go with 4.
I'm a little late with feedback, so for those who haven't submitted yet:
Late Feedback
Demon
Warchief Trall makes a lot of sense for a card representing a hero and it will probably do well, but I personally like Icelich Jaina's more creative effect better. She gives me Frostmourne vibes and would be a nice non-aggro addition to Frost DK. It definitely needs to be a DK card, so I think CursedParrot's Dual-class suggestion works well.
Wailor
Admiral Jaina should probably focus more on a single effect. Beastmaster Rexxar is solid. Focusing on Animal Companions works well. From the new ones, I like the second one the best. Maybe make it a 6-cost. And otherwise I prefer the original over the other version. Three Animal Companions at a time is already decently powerful and I like the consistency better.
anchorm4n
Is Valeera returning herself to your hand intentional? Seems potentially broken.
As far as conditions on Gul'dan go, I like "If the minions in your deck are all Demons" best.
BasilAnguis
Immediately went for the four tokens, ey? Cool card, although I think Windlord's Blessing is still kind of weak compared to infinite Murlocs or free summons/damage. I'd at least remove the Overload. I also think it's a shame that the mention of the Elemental Lords in the Battlecry doesn't fit anymore. Elemental Blessing is slightly generic…
Neoguli
I think I like Anduin's effect better. I don't know much Lore, but I honestly don't think the effect itself warrants Dual-class. And I agree with Demon's point. (I'm fine with Warrior, but I don't trust Priest and their copying/resummoning shenanigans.) How about "Battlecry: Give adjacent minions Immune for as long as this is alive." Otherwise Uther is a solid alternative.
Dolphinslayer
The third version seems best. Mage does tend to summon elementals instead of playing them, but that would potentially make it deal a lot more damage, so I think you should keep it like this. As others mentioned, some more attack would probably be a good addition to its Freezing effect.
BloodMefist
I know you've already submitted, but Warlord Garrosh is probably my favorite card here. It's exactly what you'd want from a Legendary for Handbuff Taunt Warrior.
It's been a silent week indeed. I'm busy myself for a couple of weeks, so I didn't join the feedback either. Honestly, this prompt probably deserves more than one comp.
Link, best of wishes from me. Go ahead and have a good sulk.
Inlet Scavenger is far too close to Tuskarrrr Trawler. I like Nutty Buddy better, it feels like something they'd actually have printed back then.
machadogps
Abyssal Tainted Arcanist feels like it is trying to do two different things at once. The Dredge just feels like a free bonus on an already inexpensive card.
linkblade
I see you've already submitted, but I would've liked to see Su-Gar, Confection Lord have overall less attack, similar to Xhilag of the Abyss. Still an amazing use of this prompt.
BasilAnguis
I'm sorry to say that I'm not a fan of this card. I'm always a huge fan of Choose Twice effects, but I have multiple gripes with it: As others have mentioned, the "Spellburst: Adapt" is probably a bit too much and it's very inconsistent for not using "Gain". I also believe that the different Spell Damage types defeat the purpose of the Choose keyword. There should always be a situation in which you'd consider taking the other choice, but since I don't think there will be a deck any time soon that focuses both on damaging Nature spells and damaging Arcane spells, this could be two cards, one for each school, and it wouldn't make a difference gameplay-wise.
Wailor
I prefer 3/4 or 3/5 over 4/4.
Neoguli
Chronax the Visionary probably needs some sort of downside to be balanced. The only way I see that happening is by turning it into a Shaman card that also Overloads you for your first turn, since that is the only other keyword that works in combination with "Start of Game:".
It's not very exciting. Is this too simple even for this comp?
Early Feedback
linkblade
Making use of Colossal +X is a cool idea, although a proper Colossal minion should always have a direct synergy with its limbs. I think it'll probably still do well.
Demon
I like Moltenclaw Raptor best.
Wailor
I personally quite like Living Typhoon. For Calia Menethil, you shouldn't put an enter after every keyword. And bonus points if you make her an Annoy-o-card instead. Divine Shield, Taunt AND Reborn is something else, but it is the obvious next step if they ever want to print another one. If you go with a different idea, I might make one…
It told me i voted on all 18/18 entries but when i went to the big voting page with all the cards, there were like 5 that weren't shown to me in the slideshow and which i had not voted on.
I believe this was an already existing problem, at least for me. I always go to 'your voting page' at the end of the week to compare the cards (sometimes I adjust the rating of the earlier submissions now that I have more to compare them to). This week there was one card that didn't show in the initial slideshow for me as well. Never really thought much about it. Still, five is an exceptional amount.
My theory was that it may have been caused by the page reloading. I'd have to test it out next week, but perhaps when the page reloads, it sends you to the next submission while claiming you've seen the previous one. My phone automatically reloads the page when I open Chrome, so I figured it was caused because I occasionally forget to exit the slideshow voting page. Although based on your timeline it should have reloaded twice at most, so there's probably something more going on. How often did you check your voting page last season? Because if you didn't have this problem back then, something must have definitely changed. And what are others' experiences with this?
Yeah, about what I expected. Zombeast Hunter is still something I'd like to see in the future, but I admit it felt quite forced for this comp. And yes, finding good art for it was impossible. I'm glad to hear Captain Shivers is well received.

I think the switching tribe effect works well on this. Since the effect itself is pretty strong, this makes the player dependant on the current orientation, which makes it difficult to plan rapid fire summons. I do understand peoples concern for its on-curve potential. Since the deathtrattles you trigger are likely from minions played last turn, I don't think its value would be too damaged by increasing the cost by 1 or 2 (+ increase its stats a bit).
Nice catch with the Darkmoon Races miniset. The art fits it very well and I would have probably overlooked it.
Wailor
Elemental + Totem seems difficult from a deckbuilding perspective. Totem decks are in my experience forced to go all-in on Totems.
I like Deadmoon Raider. The main problem with it is that the Rush effect wants to be a passive, but the Reborn effect has to be a battlecry or you'll have to replace the Rush with something else. I still think it has a lot of potential.
I can't help but compare Blackgill Cultist to Gorloc Ravager considering both have a tutored draw and identical statlines. What makes Blackgill Cultist interesting in comparison is that it could give an expensive Demon a Murloc-cost. At 5 Mana you'll be able to play the Demon on turn 6, but the Murloc will be a dead card considering its increased cost. I think it could use a few extra statpoint so you don't waste a turn setting up to play a big card slightly earlier. There's also no big Demons in Standard this year, so I think this should at least be in a different expansion.
Neoguli
The idea of combining these requirements that are common for their types is quite neat. It's a solid card, although the effect isn't particularly exciting. I do think it could use an extra statpoint since 4 Mana is on the higher side for card generation and the battlecry already has a requirement. I see you've already submitted though.
Demon
Quite powerful, but since you can't control targets and probably also need some smaller Elementals (and/or Dragons) to make the deck work, it's probably not too crazy for a Legendary. 7 Mana might still be low for a Neutral? Overall a very cool card.
Moondreamer
Great job on the rework! What I like to add to others' feedback is that you should keep in mind that a buff only being able to affect specific minions is a downside you should take into consideration.
anchorm4n
I agree that this is a very minor synergy and even if it technically counts will likely lose a point for it. I recommend trying something else.
On a sidenote, do make sure you get some decent art. You don't want an Eversong Reanimater situation. I spent a while looking for art and couldn't find anything decent. So if you can't find any, make sure you have a backup plan that you might still be able to get some feedback on.
BasilAnguis
I don't like that the text is very small, which is a shame, because it's a cool effect. I'm also conflicted on whether 3 damage is too much, because it is very easy to activate the effect again the second turn and it even hits the hero. But 2 damage might not be big enough considering how difficult it is to keep the chain going afterwards. Any chance you'll lose the Elemental tag?
Me0203
I'm afraid that these probably won't count for this comp. Volatile Experiment doesn't interact with two specific minions types. And I do consider Amalgam or "All" a minion type, but by definition you can't pair it with a single other type (let alone an unspecified one) since that type is already included in "All". And on a sidenote, Imp isn't a minion type, although I agree that not all Imps having "Imp" in their name is very confusing.
Inspired by Scourge Tamer. Undead Beast is actually the most common type combination in the game and Zombeasts themselves are included in this, so I'm a big fan of this combination being playable for Hunter. That being said, this card might be a bit too ambitious, so here's also a solid Undead Pirate card:
Darn, I'm starting to make a habit of missing the first prompt each season. After the post last week I didn't expect the comps this soon so this was pretty much the one week I didn't check (until a couple hours too late obviously), so I'm afraid I'll have to wait for next week.
Don't worry, I'll still be voting. And i'd also like to share what would have been my concept for this week:
It slows down the battlefield to give you time to focus on building your board while harassing your opponent with spells. That + your Hero Power (since hitting another minions will leave both Frozen) should give you somewhat of an advantage despite the effect working both ways.
Thanks for the status update, I was wondering about the longer hiatus between seasons.
Quote From R
What are these changes? Personally, I don't want any. I just want new competitions.
Most of it should be summed up here, if you're curious.
The break has personally been convenient. I've been preoccupied and wasn't sure whether I felt like participating fully (by which I'm referring to the feedback thread). I am still looking forward to more competitions (with or without changes), I'm just not sure to what extend it's possible to focus on implementing changes while a season is ongoing, so I advice the people working on it to take it one thing at a time.
Alright, one last turn! Finally found some inspiration. Hopefully I can still get some feedback. Even just telling me your favorite is very much appreciated.
A new effect for Theora. This time focused on your hero, with some added Secret synergy.
Quote From Wailor
Also, not a fan of the artwork (you can use the one I used for Enrera if you want).
Thanks, that wouldn't be a bad idea. I like the current art, but it's just not Hearthstone-y enough. How can I find it?
And a second idea for Warlock with some draw synergy. Maybe this one's cheating a little, considering the main effect doesn't interact with your last turn.
Should specify when during last turn, but besides that the effect looks great. Personally, I would make it a Combo to prevent the player from pulling an expensive combo two turns in a row and give them more motive to empty their current hand first.
Demonxz95
Felwarper Satyr is indeed a little basic. You should probably go with Divining Cartomancer. It'll likely see some good use in certain classes, although something about card draw being a requirement to get card draw just doesn't sit right with me personally.
Wailor
Living Paradox has cool flavor, but the effect is a little plain.
I like Commission Artist, but not Sigils.
Chronomancer Enrera has a great effect, but erases herself from existence the moment she's played, so it should probably be a (cheaper) spell.
R
The effect isn't the most unexpected, but for the same reason it fits into Hearthstone well and I think it will do pretty good. With the amounts of Mana it can get you, you should definitely stick to refreshing. Otherwise its sole purpose would become to skip a turn and then play something big next turn, which doesn't sound fun in Druid and makes it feel like a Legendary effect.
I like the first Moonwell Keeper art better and don't forget to capitalize the M on the second "mana".
BasilAnguis
This card has amazing flavor and is a strong contender, but I do have some issues with the effect. It only barely passes the prompt requirement, because Looped Time isn't added to your hand until the next turn, so it'll play the cards from last turn guaranteed. But if this was actually printed, I don't see why it wouldn't just be added to your hand immediately? Not that you'd want to use it on the same turn, but it just feels a little forced to fit the comp.
Despite also helping your opponent, it should probably still be a Legendary so that time loops within time loops are a special occasion and cannot consistently create infinite loops. And I predict having to pay 5 Mana upfront makes this not worth playing unless it creates a wincondition. I also think Mage will have a hard time getting more value out of this than their opponent, because you have to pay 10 Mana and Mage has a lot of targeted effects that could be harmful to yourself. So I'm not sure if it even needs to replay your opponent's cards as well.
Still a very cool card, though.
Moondreamer
The flavor is nice and I hope this gets more support in the future. Going off of other people's feedback, how about making it a minion?
I've had a hard time finding a fitting effect for this comp. Had the idea to make something Doomsayer-inspired. After some trial and error, this is the result. Don't get me wrong, the flavor is great, but I'm just not sure whether the effect would be any good in practice.
Last turn, last comp of season 5. Let's make one last push! (until season 6)
