I was expecting to see this effect for hunter. A bit disappointed to see it in Shaman honestly.
It seems [Hearthstone Card (Hagatha, The Witch) Not Found] could find a bog to shape even in sands. I wanted to see more element-oriented theme than witch-oriented one in this expansion. I mean, earth elementals, earth element spells etc. It is sands after all.
I'm still hoping that they didn't produce transform-themed and shapeshifter bog creature cards in this expansion too.
For the card itself, it is good on paper, especially with Lackeys. Sludge Slurpers and Lackeys make you complete it before t5. Sounds good but I hope it won't break the game.
and for the details, it makes you get double Battlecry of ALL minions on that turn. that means it might even have an OTK potential without Shudderwock. 8 Kobold Lackeys can deal 32 damage to the face, well there is only 7 minion room on the battlefield but that's all which comes to my mind right now. I m sure someone will figure out better and possible combos.
There is a nerf potential in this card, for the record. 6 minions seemed less to me with all of lackeys and card producing potential.
Don't think they will do that. Desperate Stand gives a minion reborn with its own way and it costs 2 mana without a body. 1-cost 1/1 that gives reborn could be gamebreaking.
The official site has the empty slots waiting for the community reveal timetable but it's still empty. About two weeks until community reveals should be a solid guess. Blizzard has previously given us some cards via blog posts even before the community reveals start so make sure to check our front page every now and then for latest reveals (usually blogs happen at 10:00 PDT/13:00 EDT/19:00 CEST).
didn't want to open a new thread so I'm asking in here, Will be a countdown in frontpage like we used to see when they reveal the reveal times (revealing reveal times lol)?
I have another solution for this kind of situations, I mean it is not even a nerf or moving hof.
I guess the problem lays in discountablity and solution is The discounted minion have its discounted cost in battleground. If you play a 3-cost giant, It stays as 3-cost in the battlefield.
Same thing have been a problem in Evolve times too. They are playing it for 4 mana, upgrading it for 1 mana and it became 12 cost for 5 mana. it should have been transformed to 5 mana instead of 12 mana again.
A rule change fixes the problem instead of nerfs and hof'ing.
I do not own one single paladin card outside of the basic ones :D I just hate the class and its whole design, have zero ranked wins on it ( while having three golden heros and playing the game since naxxramas ) and allways disenchant a card I get for pally immediately. That being said I still agree with the others telling you not to dissentchant any cards just because you dont like the cards. Only trash your duplicates so your collection stays nice and full :) !
you re lowering your chances to get another legendary cards by dusting Paladin legendaries since there is no-duplicate legendaries rule. Hold at least Legendaries to gain the chance of getting another legendary.
There is another situation with classic cards also.
Dusting classic cards (Especially Legendaries) makes you lose more value in time.
I will explain with my own experience;
Got Leeroy Jenkins on beta as my first legendary. I looked at him, Never liked to play aggro and d/e him. After bunch of seasons, I got another copy of him from a pack and d/e'd it instantly again. After years, they announced no-duplicate legendary rule. I had many classic legendaries and got him again, in that time I was still hating to play aggro and d/e him again. In time i got 1 more copy I didn't d/e'd it since i needed 400 dust for crafting Baku the Mooneater.
It was 4 time i got Leeroy Jenkins and still I don't own a copy and guess what ? I want him now and I know as soon as I got it from a pack, it will be hof'ed. :@ I can't craft him because of my mistakes because I will lose more dust value if i craft it. I am still expecting him from my packs. :|
What I am trying to say is, If you don't like a classic legendary and dust it, You will lower your chance to get another one since there is no-duplicate legendaries rule. When you d/e it, you have a chance to get another copy of it and it makes you lose dust value in total.
I have lost chances to get 4 another legendary cards (2 in real because 2 were before duplicate rule) + 1600 dust value now if i craft it it will cost me 3200 dusts. So basically those mistakes costs me 6 legendaries it means 9600 dust. I have lost 9600 dust to get 1600 dust.
Don't make same mistakes and never disenchant legendary cards, Especially classics. Don't even disenchant any cards. Disenchanting makes you lose in long term. Disenchant only extra copies and goldens (if goldens matter nothing to you like me)
This card is simply "Give a minion Reborn" now. Well ofc, Reborn dooesn't activate Undertaker or Baron Rivendare won't summon one more copy of Reborn minion, i know that, just saying they both have same mechanics.
I hope the hunter quest reward ain't rush.. hunters go face! What will I do with puny rush minions?
More seriously though I didn't mind playing 1-costs for Carnassa and we've seen some 1-cost synergies lately, with jar vender being from Uldum, so maybe its still something related to them.. or beasts.. there's been some beast generation cards too and that'd be a fun direction to take. Im kinda bored with mechs tbh.
Dalaran mostly belonged to Mages. Just to make a theory, the mages hired league of explorers to take the city back because they knew loe had defeated raffam in the past. Hence I feel, Reno jackson,being a leader figure among those would represent the Mages even though he is not a mage.
Leader of Explorers' League is Brann Bronzebeard and yes it is same thing with Leauge of Explorers, just look the image here;
For OP, I've thought firstly Finley as Mage and Reno as Paladin but then remembered sth.
I guess Sir Finley Mrrgglton's title says everything. Being a sir as Paladin makes sense more than being a Sir as Mage.
And like others say, Finley holds an Fish-y Artifact and hits with that artifact in the cinematic trailer. Even Mages use weapons like Staffs, They use them for casting, not hitting.
Finley's effect might even equips that Golden Fish-y artifact to our hero.
C'mon, it's not aboout selfishness or hatred. I am not about new players getting that card back. I don't care they will get or not, I'm complaining about what blizzard do. Why the fuck I don't want someone gets something free.
I am just saying this; maybe I could have played something else in that month, or I could have spent my time something else, Maybe I liked that card back so much and I renounced something else to be able to get that card back. They never know, You never know.
I am saying Blizzard betrayed to my loyalty. How hard could it be to understand ?
Fuck new players, Fuck cardbacks. Why the fuck I am on a silly cardback which i never used ? Yes, I never used that Ragnaros cardback. I am just saying blizzard broke my loyalty with doing this. That's all.
We're not given too much to go with, but from what clues are out there I'd say Finley is the more likely paladin and Reno ends up as the mage by process of elimination, despite it not fitting his character remotely. The golden fish that Finley uses as a cudgel in the cinematic is definitely more paladin themed, and that class has had past murloc synergies. Meanwhile, Reno's crystal gadget strikes me more as a technomagical mage weapon than a paladin artefact, and the explosion he uses to escape the sand wurm looks more like a fiery mage spell than something holy.
yeah you might be right, It is the most confusing part of this expansion for me already.
Even Sir Finley Mrrgglton name could be a refferance that Finley's class. It makes me think that like "Hey, can a mage be a sir? or A Paladin Sir is more suitable ?"
And the weapon Finley holds in the cinematic, Mages don't use weapons in Hearthstone. So yeah, Porbably Finley is Paladin and Reno is Mage. Finley even might have a text like "equip x/x weapon". Which is that golden fish-y artifact.
This season is one of my favorite seasons. Prediction Season. Just 10 or less cards are revealed and others are waiting us to speculate, so I'm starting it.
Firstly Plagues;
They've said all of the Villain classes will have Plague cards as board clears. Priest's one is revealed, Plague of Death
My personal sentiment about plagues are that They will be refferances of real 10 Plagues of Egypt;
For shaman; Plague of Frogs or Plague of Thunder and Hail
For Warlock; Plague of Blood
For Rogue; Plague of Darkness
For Warrior; Plague of Disease
Well, I can only predict names tho. I couldn't really imagine what will they do mechanically.
Second Heroes and Villains;
We all saw this expansion will be around our beloved LoE Heroes; Brann, Elise, Reno and Finley
Elise and Brann's classes are obvious;
Elise will be Druid and Brann will be Hunter but Finley and Reno ?
Finley fits in Paladin mechanically and Reno fits in Mage mechanically but I don't think they will do this mechanically,
There are some rumors about Reno being bronze dragon and I also support this rumors.
I am seeing this like Reno Jackson being Paladin card and Finley being Mage card.
In the cinematic of the expansion, Reno uses a crystallic weapon and crystals are Paladin's science area in Boomsday, Also we know Dranei Paladins uses Gem Mauls. Also Reno Jackson casts a spell in the cinematic which blows in Yellow Light like Holy Light.
If we come to the Finley, I can only speculate it like "Murlocs are mostly shamans and Shamans uses Elements, Mages also uses elements and Finley is an intelligent Murloc ( he can even speak in common language) so maybe This intelligent murloc could use magic."
Also I remember a quote from Brann Bronzebeard. He was claimed that murlocs can be more intelligent then people thought. I don't think the leader of the Explorer's League will be mistaken.
If I would speak about Villains, I need to speak about themes also.
Peter Whaleen said that we could see same characters in next expansions, so I guess we will see all of the Villains in the expansion as Legendary cards.
Mostly Rafaam, because sands are his territory.
Themes of Villain classes will change in this expansion imo. Mostly Dr.Boom's theme.
I think Warrior will have mummy theme instead of science/boom/mech theme. We will see less Dr.Boom in this expansion because his territory is cities, labarotories etc. Leader of Villains need Boom because of his rockets.
Same with Rogue, E.V.I.L. needed Togwaggle's spying, burgling for stealing Dalaran. Now rouges will have a different theme. It will be deathrattle-ish imo but well I may be wrong.
These 2 classes are like lesser evils. Maybe Shaman could be lesser evil too but a bit more than other two. At least E.V.I.L. still needs her because of her conjuring talents. Some Shamans ended up being Warlocks after all. Shaman's theme will be elements and totems instead of murlocs in this expansion imo.
If we come to the Priest, Lazul is a servant of old gods. I only can think about Infinite Dragonflight here. We saw Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron as a callback of old gods. Maybe we can see other artifacts which belongs to old gods thematically but I'm hoping for Dragons. :) Theme of priest will continue to be shadow-y and old god-ish, imo.
Warlock's theme might change too because Rafaam is trying to locate Dalaran in his territory. He is supreme archeologist in first look. His Quest card is archeology related. We will see Tol'virs and sand related stuff in Warlock instead of demons in this expansion imo.
I would claimed that this expansion's callbacks will be Un'goro, Old Gods and LoE before the reveal. It became true mostly.
We will have quests from Un'goro, Heroes from LoE, but Old Gods ? We only saw an artifact related Yogg-Saron, Hope's End and that's a thing at least. It is also a callback mechanically. I've thought that maybe we can see Infinite Dragons because it is Uldum. It seems it won't be the fact but;
I think there is a fact about Blackrock. In the next Event, We will fight against Nefarian and Ragnaros the Firelord as Villains as the result of the Mountain Crash and this is the Year of the Dragon. They've said that all of the year is in same theme.
I am speculating that We will see neutral dragons in this expansion. Dragons from Blackrock. There is a big MAYBE here. I can't be so sure about it. It is just a speculation.It could be just an event tho.
and thirdly Quests,
I will make very detailed predictions here because quests are one of my favorite mechanics in Hearthstone. but details for cards, not themes.
We saw a Passive hero power which excites me most. I love the idea of Passive hero powers. So my predictions;
Priest Quest: " play 7 cards from your opponents deck, reward: 'hero power name', Passive hero power; Your healing effects damages instead"
Warrior Quest "kill 15 minions in your turns, Reward: 'hero power name', Hero Power: Deal 1 damage to a minion and give it 2 attack"
Rogue Quest"Trigger 8 deathrattles of your cards, Reward: 'hero power name', Hero Power: Trigger a friendly deathrattle"
Shaman Quest "Overload 10 mana crystals, Reward: 'hero power name', Hero Power: Deal damage equal to your overloaded mana crystals, or, Unlock your overloaded mana crystals." (revealed - Corrupt the Waters )
Paladin Quest: " Lose 10 Divine shields on your minions Reward: 'hero power name' Hero Power: Give a friendly minion Divine Shield"
Mage Quest: " Play 10 different spells, Reward: 'hero power name', Passive Hero Power: Spell Damage +3"
Hunter Quest: " Play 10 battlecry minions, Reward: 'hero Power name' Passive Hero Power: Your beasts have rush"
and Lastly Other Stuff;
We will see at least 1 lackey according to blizzard; It might be like "Battlecry: Discover a 2-cost minion."
Like I said above, I am expecting to see Harrison Jones again,
Like Plagues, All of the LoE Hero Classes might have an artifact about Old Gods, Mage got Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron
it could be like C'Thun artifact for Druid, N'Zoth, the Corruptor artifact for Hunter and Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound artifact for Paladin. Because there are 4 hero classes and 4 Old Gods. (If my Artifacts of Old Gods speculation became true, My prediction about Hunter's quest will be meaningless, so Hunter's quest could be around deathrattles instead.)
your examples are not related with this situation. All of your examples effects the gameplay and GoW3 example is game itself.
It is a paid product without a time restriction. They didn't say they were exclusive products in release.
If you click for example [Hearthstone Card (Power Core) Not Found] cardback, you can see a sentence like "acquired from attending approved eSports event" or [Hearthstone Card (Frost Knight) Not Found] cardback iy is "Acquired from achieving Rank 20 in Ranked Play, September 2017" which are mean "You can't acquire Power Core unless you are being attended approved eSports event" or "You can't obtain Frost Knight unless you achieved Rank 20 in Ranked Play, September 2017"
So it is a time restriction, Those sentences are setting an exclusivity. They didn't set an exclusivity to wild cards before or GoW3 game before.
So, I would like to craft golden Elite Tauren Chieftain now but i can't. Guess why? There is a restriction, they gave it at Blizzcon 2013. I couldn't go Blizzcon 2013 because I am living in a different country. But I'm not begging them to activate it again. I know how it feels to have an exclusive item and i know it will be injustice to players who gets it in Blizzcon 2013.
They should have created a different version of the Ragnaros cardback for my feels. It is about what I feel, It isn't about the cardback itself, that cardback isn't even visually good. I don't care which cardback it is, I care about its exclusivity and how they tricked me by saying it is only acquireable by playing ranked in march 2015. maybe I could have played something else in that month, or I could have spent my time something else, Maybe I liked that card back so much and I renounced something else to be able to get that card back. They never know, You never know.
What I call injustice and rude is this. They stole my time.
Ah and try it in real life. Go buy a necklace for your girlfriend, and say that only she deserves that necklace, And buy 1 more and give it someone else as a gift. Make your girlfriend see that and experience what she feels.
I'm sorry.. did you WORK HARD for that cardback. Did your sweat drip down your eyebrows for it? Why do you deserve it and others don't. Just for having played the game earlier than others? Or didn't take a break from the game during that time? You should reconsider your values.
maybe i didn't work hard, maybe it was so easy to obtain but there were a time restriction for it and I spent my time to get it. It isn't about trying hard or stupid card back.
It is about the value which Blizzard didn't give the old players and loyal players.
I know what is value and I know the most valuable thing in a life is time. I think you need to consider your values.
So people who weren't around for season 12 can't have the card back? As an example the game has been out so long some players were not even old enough to understand to play it when it launched.
I'm glad you're being down-voted to oblivion.
Where do you get such an elitist, selfish attitude from?
maybe one ridiculous ugly cardback isn't important for most, but what it feels is important here. like Angryshuckie said, long-time players are forgetten. I'm not the only one who says this and this is about it. Not just one stupid cardback.
1-cost 1/1 that gives reborn could be gamebreaking.
didn't want to open a new thread so I'm asking in here, Will be a countdown in frontpage like we used to see when they reveal the reveal times (revealing reveal times lol)?
yes, it also has been confirmed on reddit,
https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/c8fhlp/confirmed_sir_finley_is_a_mage/esnmd4b/
Well, I have already accepted that 6 posts above :) Both are reasonable decisions imo. I hope cards will be good enough :)

Desperate Stand
yes..
This card is simply "Give a minion Reborn" now. Well ofc, Reborn dooesn't activate Undertaker or Baron Rivendare won't summon one more copy of Reborn minion, i know that, just saying they both have same mechanics.
no, not another Deathstalker Rexxar if possible or any other infinite value card like Dr. Boom, Mad Genius. They were not healthy for the game.
Leader of Explorers' League is Brann Bronzebeard and yes it is same thing with Leauge of Explorers, just look the image here;
https://wow.gamepedia.com/Explorers%27_League

hushh, I have been downvoted to oblivion to say that. be aware. :)

We might see Glibb as a token of Brann Bronzebeard legendary card, it is the Gorilla Companion of Brann Bronzebeard like Misha of Rexxar
Druid's theme will be around damaging spells, starfalls etc. Not around minions this time imo.
Well, it is like that for now. If I find anything to speculate I will add here. Let me know your predictions and expectations too.
Btw, sorry for so long thread. :)
I would say that it will have LoE mechanic so it could be "Battlecry: Discover a 1-cost (or 2-cost) minion."
your examples are not related with this situation.

Make your girlfriend see that and experience what she feels.
maybe i didn't work hard, maybe it was so easy to obtain but there were a time restriction for it and I spent my time to get it. It isn't about trying hard or stupid card back.
It is about the value which Blizzard didn't give the old players and loyal players.
I know what is value and I know the most valuable thing in a life is time. I think you need to consider your values.
from being a human.
it isn't narcissism. It is about loyalty.
maybe one ridiculous ugly cardback isn't important for most, but what it feels is important here. like Angryshuckie said, long-time players are forgetten. I'm not the only one who says this and this is about it. Not just one stupid cardback.
yeah children's card game, ok.
