I have the same issue with Gral, the Shark (the only golden Legendary I've ever had).
In the end I decided to keep him hoping for a meta where it would have become playable. After 8 months, it hasn't happened yet but I'm still on my promise.
I personally think that there are more chanced to see Sir Finley of the Sands in competitive than Gral, so (unless you and in dust emergency) you should keep him and wait.
To be fair I wonder why nearly no one (except some Shamans in the form of Earth Shock) doesn't run Silence.
Because there isn't a whole lot of magnetize synergy going on. Not enough to warrant running silence cards anyway.
And silencing Zilliax on its own is absolutely useless. By the time you get to interact with it it's already lost the majority of its perks (divine shield, rush and the first lifesteal). At that point you're silencing a 3/2 with lifesteal and taunt...
You're not wrong, but there are actually a considerable number of cards that should push players to run Silence: Combo Priest in general, Crabby boy, Mech shenanigans in general, Quest Paladin,...
So let's take a closer look to this card. To begin with, it's a neutral minion, which means it's playable for all 9 classes: a pretty solid inclusion in most decks, limited just by your lack of vision in this card's monstrous potential; moreover, it's not a Legendary: this is actually HUMONGOUS, since you won't have to spend 1600 for a valid card and you can even include two copies of it in your deck. Suck on that Tirion Fordring!
Given this humble introduction, let's talk about what matters the most in the game: stats. Are you familiar with the vanilla test? A minion is considered good if the sum of its statistics is bigger that the double of its cost +1. Watch this: 1+1=2, which is bigger than (0x2)+1=1. Insane! Moreover, it's totally immune to silence: yeah, that's right, your opponent is forced to trade away this glorious creature from the board instead of just silencing it. Pretty big deal. Go eat a shoe Spellbreaker!
Aren't you convinced yet? Ok fool, get ready: by playing Wisp with Rogue, you'll give +2/+2 to your Edwin VanCleef FOR FREE, while putting stats in play; moreover, it completely shuts down pesky secrets like Potion of Polymorph, Repentance If this is not value, then I don't know what you're talking about.
Furthermore (almost) always wins Brawls and can't even be targeted by bullshit tech cards like Hungry Crab or [Hearthstone Card (Golakka Crab) Not Found]. Patches the Pirate? Snowflipper Penguin??Get the fuck out of here.
Go hurry and craft two golden copies of this bad boy before Blizzard decides to ban it from the game.
1100 dust that pales in comparison of what other people got after their disenchants but ehh, it's almost a Legendary so it's still pretty good.
Btw I don't know if I should buy the first two wings (with gold) of Karazhan in order to get and disenchant Barnes: do you think it would be worth 1400 gold considering the other cards too?
Oh lord Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater: I still have PTSD because of those two little shits (despite having had a ton of fun with an Odd Beast Druid).
Simply glorious (see sidebar): Elemental Evocation discovered on turn 3 by Vulpera Scoundrel because "why not, I could end up in a possible scenario in which I've brought my opponent down to 10 HP and I would need a Zephrys the Great generated Pyroblast".
Roughly 9 turns later... I fucking love when my predictions are paid: it's a wonderful feeling.
Btw I was playing my personal Handcry Highlander Mage (janky, huh?), does anyone want the list?
Fuck this game. TWICE, Blizzard. You've made my pity timer go to the single digit TWICE in the same fucking month. Once for Uldum and once for Classic. Absolutely disgusting.
I literally had to go to single digit for EVERY RoS and Uldum Legendary. I think you're still pretty luck
Quote From XarkkalBuffs [...] should give some cool cards that ended up being duds, a 2nd chance.
This one. I personally loved the experiment since June and July felt a little less boring than usual: even if for a few games, people had new tools to play with, and most of the times we didn't even need to craft them. Really cool. I really hope (and the Devs seem to have understood it) that Luna's Pocket Galaxy's mistake won't hold team 5 back from doing another round of buffs in the future (maybe Rastakhan's Rumble since there are so many cool card that have seen little to no play?).
The only suggestion I may give (and it's the same I gave before the Rise of Mechs event) is to make the new buffed card craftable for a lower cost (75%?): I personally would have loved to try some stuff but I really didn't want to waste dust. I don't think I am too greedy to ask it, since such a compromise would encourage a lot more people to invest their savings.
P.S.: just a little reminder to OP: after the buff Necromechanic sees solid play Wild Deathrattle Hunter as a better Baron Rivendare.
Seems rather interesting. Looking forward to it.

I just got 1100 dust from the nerfs and there are actually a lot of cards I'd like to have: Reno the Relicologist, Leeroy Jenkins (yep, still don't have it), Siamat, Dinotamer Brann, Kalecgos, Frost Lich Jaina, Kazakus, N'Zoth, the Corruptor and Reno Jackson are some good examples given that I'm trying to get into Wild mode too.
If it will be any good, I'll probably insist on Highlander Hunter, since I have most of the cards and I like the singleton idea, but I don't know.
Big ambitions, little dust reserves lol
I had 1 Extra Arms and 3 Conjurer's Calling (1 golden) to disenchant.

Ditto
Wow, I guess you have (had) a lot of Conjurer's Calling lol

I really miss Lesllee's HS animations: they were a lot better than Wronchi's...
I wonder what happened to that guy
Papa Gros <3
Not gonna lie, Zilliax is pretty fucking good.
I wonder why I waited so much to craft it. Thanks Zalae I guess
Colossus of the Moon anyone?
I literally had to go to single digit for EVERY RoS and Uldum Legendary. I think you're still pretty luck
Buying the first two wings may be a good idea: I even read a post on Reddit on the same subject.
However, my only concern is that you would get niche to bad cards (except Barnes that will become a free legendary of your choice).

That's actually a really smart suggestion. I guess it will return to be played a bit now.
