Comparable to Possessed Lackey but without Voidlord or Doomguard, its nowhere near its power level. Also, because the deathrattle summons a demon from your hand means you have to first draw the card which makes it fair enough.
Getting Pit Commander is obviously very good. But with so many Zephrys the Great around, this may not be as optimal as thought. Especially since it has no deathrattle itself, means its just a one taunt, not adequate protection against aggro decks.
Also, this card allows your opponent to get a card off your hand. But its massive attack is bafflingly good. If there's no spells for it, either take it down and lose a minion, or face tank 8 damage. Wonder what person tested this card and thought 8 damage would be remotely fair on this minion.
Well, fluffy...er...knives, is like most other dhunter cards, very good. And this one's not a legendary so you get to put 2 copies, so that helps a little with consistency.
Pairs very very well with the already probably broken card Imprisoned Antaen. Played on curve, your opponent can expect 16 shots at their board and face, while starring down at a 10/6 and 6/7, turn 7.
I won't be too surprised to find out if either one gets nerfed a while after the expansion starts. In fact, nerfs to dhunter is probably just a matter of time.
This has possibilities of either becoming an 0 cost +1+1 to any minion, or just plain bad by spiking your Lady Liadrin with a bunch of useless spells when you obviously need something better.
I'll pass. Top decking this will be the worst feeling you will ever get in your life.
At 6, its still decent. That it doesnt affect your side of the board is huge, and it provides you with a weapon to take down at least 1 minion with your face. Pair this with cost reduction, and you've got your swing turn tech card all in one.
Yes, it works well with Wild Pyromancer, Consecration, and just about any small minion. The wild pyro gets to actually live through this, so even with an empty board its still going to clear with a 3/1 left behind.
If you're going to the library for some librams, then yes you'll be playing this card. Its a vanilla minion with a tiny, tiny upside. But a 2/3 on 2 is already good enough reason to run this, never mind the synergies with librams.
And as I understand it, the librams get their cost reduced wherever they are, so you dont even need to hold back on this. Just good enough.
Its not a 5 mana do nothing. Its 5 mana, reduce selected spells by 2 cost, and more crucially, it has taunt. The taunt alone makes it worth it. So even at worst, its a 5 mana 4/6 taunt. Good enough honestly.
Reducing the cost of libram spells may not seem like much, but there's a good chance you get to actually play the spells the same turn you play this, so there's something to that.
Its very good, but let's be honest, its not good because it gives a +2+2 buff, its good because it draws, and draw is the one thing that paladin will be lacking in the next expansion (Crystology rotates). The buff is merely a bonus, and a decent bonus at that, and makes nearly all 1 drop on turn 1 very threatening.
I can see this competing for a space with Blessing of Wisdom. But its likely hand of [Hearthstone Card (a'dal) Not Found] wins out. For Blessing of Wisdom to get the push, it needs to at least draw two cards, which it rarely ever does.
Its an interesting card, too bad stuff like Zilliax is rotating.
So it works best with buffs, especially with paladin (hero power creates tokens, buffs, etc.) and priest (Grave Rune, Power Infusion, etc.)
Potential snowball minion? Its only limitation is that it will likely die before anything sick happens, or you run out of minions to be transformed. Or even better, you have better minions, and no way to kill this thing.
Conceptually very cool, and with Kael'thas Sunstrider strats, this gets better. Ideally, you get to punch through a few minions and have a few of the nagrands left. And if the board is empty, you've just dealt 12 damage to the face and developed 4 minions. Obviously if you manage to keep a Tundra Rhino out then you've just won the game, congratulations.
Potential problems? a) Hunter doesnt want to keep cheap spells around unless its face hunter b) Hunter cant draw to save their life, so these kind of combos will be few and far between c) There needs to be more reasons for hunter to start putting Kael'thas Sunstrider into their decks. This alone doesnt cut it d) In most cases around turn 10, enemy minions aren't going to line up nicely. In many cases, you'll be wishing that this card clears the board and not go face. And finally e) Can hunters be relied upon to reach more than 10 turns and not die, or win outright? Not really.
So more than a few problems that makes this card thoroughly unplayable. There's better card this expansion than this, so this card will be nothing more than a "could've been great" card at the end.
Okay, I gave Lady Liadrin some shit prior to this, but the reveal of the libram mechanic forces a rethink. Get the librams low enough and you can start casting like crazy right after slamming Lady Liadrin down. Libram of Hope is in particularly crazy, but I'm a little skeptical how low you can get it in the game. Ideally you want this to be around costing 3 and below so its possible to play this the same turn as Lady Liadrin.
Massive support for pure paladin. In fact, it makes it less of a joke to play with each reveal.
Its worth nothing that paladin still has one of the poorest draw engines in the game (Crystology rotates out) so it remains to be seen whether the impact of librams can help this ailing class. Aside from the poor draw, the libram cost reducing minions are pretty standard vanilla minions on their own, so that's another thing. It may be that the libram tech is extremely powerful, but you've got to first draw and then survive to play them first. Maybe a libram that draws cards is yet to be revealed, because that's what paladin really really needs.
Its a cheaper Faceless Manipulator that also grants the new minion taunt, but loses the ability to copy enemy minions.
Unhappily for druid, there's not many deathrattles that this card can make advantage of. So its very likely just fodder to be casted from The Amazing Reno or Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron
Outside of that there's the combo with Ysiel Windsinger, copy another Malygos perhaps? There's pontential there. Outside of that this card is just dead on arrival.
Why does team5 keep insisting on printing outright broken cards for druid all the time? The only lingering weakness of this card is in standard currently, there isn't crazy spells like Ultimate Infestation.
I was looking more at the AoE effect. But I get your point. Perhaps I should have said slow instead of it costing too much. It has to be said that it does damage to itself (as according to trillmatic), so its a 5 mana 4/4 deal 2 damage to all minions.
Dont know why, it just doesnt click with me. And all I can say is that I'm not paying 5 mana for that.
Maybe someone can clarify this with someone from the dev team? As it stands, its intuitive that it doesnt do damage to itself, but we can never know until its confirmed.
Its a solid card that has a reasonably easy condition.
But solid cards just dont cut it in standard. Card's gotta be broken, or contributes to broken cards. If I have one card less to a deck, I'd be thinking about this card, to be honest. But its just not a mandatory inclusion.
Comparable to Possessed Lackey but without Voidlord or Doomguard, its nowhere near its power level. Also, because the deathrattle summons a demon from your hand means you have to first draw the card which makes it fair enough.
Some obviously good targets: Pit Commander (who also summons a demon at the end of your turn), Priestess of Fury, and Imprisoned Antaen

Well, looks like many got made a fool of with the introduction of libram cards.
Why dont they reveal the librams along with Lady Liadrin will always baffle me.
probably lower her weapon so its conveniently covering her fluffy parts.

Its really terrible that we dont actually get to watch the pros play. Hopefully this virus goes away in time for the next masters tour.
This shouldn't affect grandmasters. Hopefully not. I've been looking forward to it for half a year now.

I think demon hunters would like to differ from your opinion.
Why does team5 keep insisting on printing outright broken cards for druid all the time? The only lingering weakness of this card is in standard currently, there isn't crazy spells like Ultimate Infestation.
This will have an immediate impact if it ever gets cheated out from Strength in Numbers, or gets cheapened by Imprisoned Satyr.
In wild this is absolutely ridiculous, if [Hearthstone Card (Kael'thas) Not Found] hasn't done it already.
Is this gif from an actual show? I kinda forget.
That is how I picture should've happened if it were real life. Or at least that how the fans think disney has treated the Lion King franchise.
