Question 2: I think they'll just print less neutral cards, having less neutral cards would also be good to preserve class identity.

    Question 4: I don't get it.

Why print less when you can print more? I think they would probably increase the number of cards per expansion.

For question 4, that's what one of the italian streamers who attended the summit said. There's gonna be something in it for the FTP community.

  • Tempo aggro. New rogue basically. And dhunters have better tempo cards. Its not second-hand zoo, I just cant imagine any minion trading to happen. There's so much support for dhunter to just clear it with spells + face

  • 'does 3 damage to a random ENEMY'

yeah, this bad boys' getting nerfed before he even knows it

  • Well, they've gone and done two things no one ever thought possible. New class, and change the frankly embarrassing priest classic cards. Well played blizzard.

    Now, all we need to know is;

    - How'd you get all the demon hunter cards (please tell me its free)

    - Is there now going to be more cards per expansion?

    - How'd you get all the NEW priest class cards (please tell me its free)

    - What's the supposed new balance for FTP

By the way; the new demon hunter class looks like the new aggro tempo class. All effort to protecting the board with your cards and face. Almost like rogue but without the single removal option cards.

Holy Smite, Power Word: Shield, and Shadow Madness all seemed impossibly buffed, almost like an early april fools joke.

Gonna be funny seeing how the team reveals demon hunter tomorrow and try and act like the leak never happened

  • Going full aggro if you want to get anywhere, with a few Faerie Dragons and Boompistol Bully to beat up on rogue. Currently few classes can outvalue highlander mage, or res priest, and going greed makes your hunter matches really bad.

Unfortunately priest is not fun to play against and I believe, not fun to play either. You skip your first 5 turns and hope to draw your Zerek's Cloning Gallery or you die. There's just no interactivity, and since the wall of taunts effectively keeps the ground game from going, there's just no point but to concede if you cant KO res priest by turn 8.

The Amazing Reno just feels bad to play against to be honest. The card swings hard sometimes, and it feels really bad to lose to a highroll of spells. Here's hoping there's some card coming up in the new expansion that can tone down the RNG on this.

If anything, I've been doing well with bomb warrior and maly rogue. Since face hunter is on the decline, there's finally some breathing room to play something else without being bm-ed to the face at turn 6.

Meta is a weird thing. Last week I encountered mostly Rogue, Mage and Priest, while today I got five Hunters in a row. None of them were playing Dragon Hunter though (one Quest, one Mech, one Face and two different Beast variants).

True. I think the nearer you get to the safe zones (rank 15,10,5 etc.) the weirder ladder gets. But all the better for it.

I have made a few attempts at a Sidequest Mage deck today, but that was a big disappointment. Part of the problem is the current elementals aren't good enough in this rush-heavy meta: for example Fire Hawk often becomes 7/3, but I wasn't able to do any face damage with it.

You can still try double sidequest mage, with Chenvaala and Mana Cyclone. If you get Elemental Evocation+Chenvaala on turn 1, its very favorable towards you from then on. I've tried quest+Learn Draconic cyclone mage. Kinda nice, can win some games but absolutely impossible to beat priest and face hunter. Ditch the Fire Hawk. Nearly every tier 1-2 mulligan for some 3 damage card.

For Paladin, maybe Air Raid is the card that brings both sidequests together.

I've actually forgotten that pure pally plays both sidequests. But none play the quest synergy cards. Yeah, this class is perhaps the best to do double sidequest with. Mostly because the conditions for it is too general.

  • flark's nine has got to be one of the most expensive list I've seen in a long time.

  • *Bronze Explorer not making the list

This whole election has been rigged by the elites against working people of this country.

  • I think team5 purposefully created the sidequests in such a way that they dont synergize well with one another and that's my impression with druid sidequests. I can fully empathize with players who dont chase up ranks and merely want to have a good time (I alternate between gaining ranks with meta decks, then losing them all with a fun experimental deck), but I feel deck building should be made with the meta in mind. In this case, I'm particularly worried that the entire deck can be taken down with nothing more than a Faerie Dragon on 2, and Evasive Feywing on 4, both are currently in two of the top tier decks, hence the Scaleriders.

Maybe remove the Escaped Manasabers for Oasis Surgers, or Evasive Feywings? Remove alex + 1x ferocious howl for 2x Winged Guardian. At least with this there's a good chance you can steamroll rogue, and have a decent chance against dragon hunter.

  • Just my observations;

The decklist removes many of the cards you would prefer to have hit with Strength in Numbers. Plus, there is a notable absence of taunts, and in its place you get a ramp for 1, and/or draw for 1. Not a very good trade off considering the meta currently (Galakrond warrior and rogue, dragon hunter).

Escaped Manasaber, Licensed Adventurer, Alexstrasza, and Secure the Deck all in one deck, usually means combo but your deck doesnt have any combo that OTKs or TTKs. If tempo is the game, then not having Oasis Surger or Faceless Corruptor, or Scalerider means you have few mid game tempo swing cards, and very vulnerable to mech pally or dragon hunter.

I think its best to rework the deck to fit Gonk, the Raptor. But dont let me stop you, I would be interested to know your win rate with this list.

  • All this waiting better be worth it. Its been a long two weeks.

  • Its a win more card to me. It doesnt help against its bad matchups, but if it gets out against a slower deck like highlander mage there's very little they can do aside from playing reno to get rid of it.

But hey, its kinda for fun right

  • Honestly, the fact that a section of the people cant actually attend these gatherings, these kind of stuff should have just been scrapped from the start. A tavern brawl that features a mismash of new cards, or better yet, actually allow you to play the recipes earlier, would be more appropriate.

I think if a persons gonna preorder, hes gonna preorder, vice versa. Allowing them to play those cards for free, even if for a short period of time, will not change that.

  • Scalerider

another card that deals direct damage when holding a dragon in hand

  • I often thought cards like Charged Devilsaur is the more elegant way of creating 'rush' minions, since it can also act as a combo OTK piece rather than a pure finisher the way Leeroy Jenkins is now.

I think if team5 were to print more charge cards it should come with conditions, like 'can't attack heroes this turn', or 'if your opponent has more than 6 cards...' etc. If there's a way for the opposing side to manipulate so the charge minion is either inactive or severely weakened, I think that's the best way forward, assuming charge as a mechanic is ever going to come back.

  • Not sure if you mean can stop Yogg. Gonna assume that's the case

    Hex

    Another transform a minion spell

  • Hoping for leaks, really just cant wait until 17th Mar to find out whats the deal in the summit.

  • Nozdormu has the highest placement, and millhouse has the lowest

Kinda an obvious hint, right team5?

  • I remember visiting outofcards back then (cant remember if it was named outofcards back then) and thinking it was kinda a little behind hearthpwn at that time.

Then a few months went by and outofcards, in my opinion, overtook hearthpwn in terms of being better managed, and having - shall we say - a more mature comments section.

Congrats to Flux. Keep up the good work.

  • I dont have an extensive knowledge of WoW or the lore, but from the picture which is more than a little misty and the words 'A storm is coming', can the next expansion be based on Pandaria?

As we have seen from previous years, just because its probably year of the phoenix next, doesnt mean that the first expansions got to have anything to do with the zodiac.
