  • I think its safe to say right now that there are always ample amounts of bad, situational spells all around, not even mentioning how many good spells tend to have the 'target a minion' i.e. not your enemy/self

There's no need to purposefully create bad spells just because of Reno. All it takes is for any good spells to simply be ambiguous enough so its a random target when auto casted.

  • I was rather more hopeful for some stats showing how often these spells gets casted.

But I've encounter this scenario more often than not. Seems like after this card gets played, its really all down to the spell RNG as to whether you win or lose (both sides). Its my opinion, but stuff like this is not really healthy for the game. Its one thing to get Yogg-boxed to a lost, its quite another when the start of every turn literally decides winners and losers.

  • I've played both OTK versions and value versions of the Kronx deck. From what I see, you're playing the value version (no Spirit of the Shark, or massive draw engine). Your win condition is therefore to duplicate Kronx and draw them with the treasure/Galakrond, or draw them one at a time, with the view to out value the opponent, not to OTK them.

I can say, this deck will struggle hard with embiggen druid, and just about any hunter deck. When you draw well, this has a passing but not absolute chance of beating the enemy. Unfortunately, your deck list doesn't draw well, and so its down to pure draw RNG.

    Just my opinion on changes;

    - Remove 2x Lab Recruiter - Double tog scheme, you don't need this
    - Remove 2x Devoted Maniac - Too much tempo loss. Its my opinion, but rogue doesn't have the comeback tech to ever play this successfully
    - Remove Doomsayer - without freezing the board, and the amount of rush minions in this meta, at best this can buy you turn 2 of the game, no more.

    Replace with

    - 2x EVIL Miscreant - you need the lackeys, for Shadow Sculptor, tempo, and tog.
    - 1x [Hearthstone Card (umbral stalker) Not Found] - For sculptor, Edwin, and if you can play this for 0 mana, that's three extra mana to play with
    - 1x Shadow Sculptor - For draw. Trust me, you get stuck more than 50% of the time with an unwinnable hand. At the moment, this is the most efficient draw engine rogue has
    - 1x SN1P-SN4P - This + Zilliax = face hunter concede, well at least that's just about the only thing rogue can do against face hunter.

Again, I'd stressed that this deck doesn't do well in the meta (too many hunters, and rogue traditionally never do well against them). So, don't start selling your collection for this deck to work.

  • Hoping for;

    - Change to evergreen set

    - Change to system that reduces overall cost to have fun in hearthstone

    - New ways to play hearthstone

    - Revamp and balancing of wild cards

    - Reintroduction of wild cards to standard (as part of the yearly rotation)

    - Reduction in dust cost for crafting wild cards

Looks like Runeterra's doing work for hearthstone already.

  • I think at this point there's more than enough general strategies from the net that the only legitimate gripe is not having the cards to defeat heroic bosses as efficiently as possible. If I'm not mistaken, this boss doesn't do very well against mill rogue

In any case, its a heroic boss, means the frustration of loss is at least confined within the restart button, unlike losing to an OP boss from a dungeon run. So your very unfortunately Kelecgos event is just a one-off, not a definite encounter. Just restart until you get the perfect hand, that works too.

  • Just watched the video and can say that the proposal is kinda alright and should deserve full support. The changes to the daily rewards is particularly clever, since it awards packs not gold, and therefore it does not provide an incentive to hoard gold for the new expansion, and instead pressure players to pre-order instead. You can still get more than 100 packs eventually, but that is within the span of the expansion (around 4 months) assuming you pick packs over gold.

I think blizzard should pay attention to the poll numbers. The current system is going nowhere. Those who will not spend, will just not spend. So a fresh change might get us somewhere, even if it only makes the game more fun for those with smaller wallets.

  • Quote From Alfi

Who is “we” in the original post? To me it souns like written by someone who wants to sound better.

Its Bot mathematician and holomancer. If you watch their videos (which I recommend) the two of them makes the presentation, hence the use 'we'. I assume that's why the post uses the same term.

  • Waterboy. No one's that desperate lol.

Basically you're putting this card as a free 2/1. Kobold Sandtrooper, assuming its not silenced, objectively does more damage while putting the same body on board for the same mana.

  • You're playing a somewhat weird list to be honest. I'm interested to know what your win rate is.

    Some observations;

    - you play hack the system but barely any weapons. So the intention is to play Licensed Adventurer and Sky Gen'ral Kragg. I personally don't think its viable to reduce your mulligan hand, just so you can play those cards.

    - There's standard removal cards from control warrior, but no Omega Assembly. After blocking your opponent's tempo, you're relying solely on dr boom for the win. Since there's no Archivist Elysiana, and youre actively adding cards to your opponent's deck, you can't fatigue them out.

This deck is tailor crafted to beat face hunters, token druid (contentious) and other pure aggro decks. Outside of the perfect Dr Boom plays, I struggle to see how this deck can beat anything else. Not to be dick or anything, but against rogues, embiggen druids, highlander mage, and mech paladin, I simply can't imagine this deck winning.

But on the up side, I personally think warrior as a class can get up the top. Just need to tech in Dragonmaw Poachers or Black Knight for the embiggen list and albatrosses for highlander. Probably not control, but midrange-aggro list should be the best way for warrior right now.

  • I've always speculated how they could somewhat tip Raid the Sky Temple and The Amazing Reno so they aren't completely shit. Whenever I get that hp active, I always had this sneaky suspicion that its actually giving me cards I need every turn

If they can do this with heroic reno, then maybe its not so much a speculation on whether its actually possible or not.

  • Then Lord Godfrey becomes a problem. Sorry, Dreadsteed was never going to be a meta card, no point twisting and turning for its sake.

  • I was hoping for some sort of mod to allow you to simulate the VR tech using two mouses. I don't think its too far fetched really.

Guess I'll have to wait until VR tech gets reasonably priced in the market.

  • Hope you can still play it without the VR.

VR tech still too expensive, sadly.

  • Quote From Thanatos

Does not work against any highlander decks with Zephyr (4 mana silence kills yo)

    Quote From Thanatos

This deck does not work against priest... impossible to win... feels bad...

If you're facing lots of res priest you can tech in Zul'Drak Ritualist. Absolutely kills them. In any case, the only way priest wins definitely is if they get Zerek's Cloning Gallery on 9. Other than that, just don't over extend your eggs (Mass Dispel turns them into 0/5, so your board slots are dead). Its a long match, don't draw if you don't have to.

Against highlander decks, the albatrosses will see to them fine enough. Besides which, they only get one shot. They still need to clear the board.

  • I'm more waiting for a general review of wild instead of unnerfing cards.

At the current state of wild, none of the cards listed will have made any impact, nerfed or unnerfed.

  • Quote From Bersak

I think its a silly plot with no intention of meaningfull narrative.
The focus is on the fun, witch is fine by me. A card game is not exactly the best medium for story narration

Although i agree that a deeper storyline would be great. Maybe they up their game next year..?

I agree that its a silly plot, and less said about the final wing's storyline the better, but I have some reservations about your opinion on card games as a medium of storytelling.

It serves well as a medium, with its own limitations and strengths different but certainly not any lesser compared with other mediums. I personally thought the way Witchwood's adventure ending (final fight with Hagatha) was handled and presented is leagues above from what we got in Galakrond's awakening, so there's no excuse why Galakrond's awakening cannot reach the same if not better level than was done.

  • That's probably my criticism of the adventure as well. The supposed 'choice' of either supporting the explorers or EVIL is rendered moot if both ending results in Galakrond's butt getting kicked.

Moreover, from the final wing, we see Rafaam and Galakrond scorching everything in Azeroth, with him victorious, but make no mention of what he does with Azeroth (king of the world, etc.) seemingly implying that the motivation for doing all this was because its evil.

In my opinion, the final wing should have been a straight up choice: joining explorers or EVIL, no jumping between good and evil wings (you still get all the cards). EVIL's end boss will be against all the explorers (for some reason throughout the entire adventure it is implied that the explorers you defeated aren't dead, but the EVIL guys are properly dead when defeated), and explorer's ending would be to stop Galakrond and Rafaam.

Of course the canon ending would be for the explorers to win.

  • Just a few comments. I haven't tried your list yet but I'm basing my opinions from my experience of playing quest paladin in this meta.

    - I noticed your list does not have Truesilver Champion and instead includes Sky Gen'ral Kragg. Since both cards does mostly the same thing (deal 4 damage), but truesilver can do it twice, there's no reason to not include this in favour of Kragg.

    - I would personally either remove Kangor's Endless Army or SN1P-SN4P due to the major anti synergy here. With Shotbot included KEA has been watered too substantially enough, and with Snip snap in the mix, there's a good chance KEA generates a 1/1 instead of something substantial.

    - Remove Acolyte of Pain for Witchwood Piper. Piper does just about the same thing but better. I would personally make room for two pipers.

    - One copy of Equality. Better than Subdue and Shrink Ray. Best of all, if your opponent plays taunt minions to block damage, you can whisk it all away without removing damage from your side.

  • you mean in story mode right?

Is heroic too easy? I haven't had the chance to try. From some posts up earlier, I understand there's some frustrating difficulty in heroic mode on the last wing.

  • I think team5 wants us to use Kobold Stickyfinger real real bad.
