If there was a bigger indicator that blizzard really wants [card]plot twist[/card] to be playable, this would be it.
Put this in zoo along with plot twist and turn your garbage hand into gold. Makes us all wonder how much more unplayable [card]arch-villain rafaam[/card] can get. Even drawing 2-3 cards from this makes this good enough to see play. …
wtf is this card. Plot twist into legendary hand at 4 lol
Draws itself, or best case scenario would be to draw [card]zilliax[/card]. Other than that this is just a 3 mana 4 damage removal card.
Fodder for [card]clear the way[/card] sidequest but in standard right now there are better minions that does that job. Not to mention that one of hunters most versatile card being [card]springpaw[/card] means that its hard …
This expansion is looking fluffier by every card reveal.
Not really impressive for its mana cost but may find itself in cyclone mage at thats about it. 3 spells is quite a lot, and most decks can't generate that many spells.
Kinda remind of [card]dragon soul[/card] and that never saw play.
Strong tempo play at 9, but with unpredictable results. This can be from devastatingly good (stuff like malygos) to unplayable (deathwing) but for the most part it will likely be a dragon smaller than 8/8. A comparable card would be [card]dragoncaller alanna[/card] in big spell mage which saw play but was at the fringes of payable.
Still, for its …
A little too late to the party but rush warrior needed something like this to stay viable. The two invoke requirement means this will likely stay in the hand for at least 4-5 turns, but if it gets buffed even once, the tempo swing along with [card]spirit of the rhino[/card] would be immense. Even without buffs, its decent enough to …
Any card that adds a card into your hand deserves serious attention and this one just flat out let you control which dragon to add, which can range from faerie dragons to legendaries. [card]zola the gorgon[/card] seen play, so we can expect some dragon decks to consider its inclusion.
In wild, this can give you another [card]drakonid operative[/card], as …
If this kills the floop after he transforms as well, then we may have a contender for ruining all quest druid's day.
yeah you're right, my bad
kinda forgot that waxadred shuffles candles on death.
At present standard we already have better big deathrattles like [card]mechanical whelp[/card] and [card]mechano-egg[/card] which at very least can be cheated out without the need of a battlecry. Until those rotate, this will only be at the fringes of playable, and only because of its cost and potential rewards (12/12 deathwing, ysera, or malygos would be disgusting)
Downsides at …
The card doesn't just boost your hand size, it draws you 4 cards. That alone for 7 mana is still pretty okay. But mostly, this augments plot twist decks by allowing more draws and shuffles. That the mana cost is 7 is probably deliberate so you can't curve this into [card]dollmaster dorian[/card] or otherwise this is straight up too good …
Its practically another copy of giant in handlock for 6. The fact that the demon summoned has taunt makes this attractive since you don't just die after playing her.
But does handlock need a card like this? If you're going for greed then yes, otherwise you'd much rather have something else to counter aggro with. Not to also mention …
Counters rogue plays primarily, and combo decks in general. If [card]waxadred[/card] ever gets too popular this one just kills it in one swoop, and in standard all infinite value except for warlock gets stopped in its tracks. Its only weakness is that its a 6 mana assassinate in most games and if that's suddenly okay to play a 'destroy a …
Played on curve this essentially punishes any deck that doesn't play a 1 drop, and forces ping classes to waste a turn. Kinda overpowered honestly, with a 3/6 taunt. Aggro decks that draws nothing for the first turn with this on 2 is literally dead in water. Combo decks and druid likely targets for an easy turn 2-3 3/6 minion.
…Ideal candidate to be resurrected by [card]psychopomp[/card], if you can take three 1 drops from your opponent. If anything, this might be a tech card against resurrect control priest that may surface in the next expansion.
Can be used to cheat out [card]sea giant[/card] for massive tempo swing, or put out another taunt with [card]rabble bouncer[/card]. Given that zoolock …
A decent card that will fit nicely into highlander hunter. On its own its literally useless, since it doesn't reduce attack, but hunter has quite a lot of tools that hit for one so there's some utility there.
Other than that, its a little disappointing that this is hunter's dragon legendary. You would think that it could at least …
Its essentially a 1/3 1 drop on curve. Little else and not that interesting.
More likely its a contender to be added into battlegrounds where gaining 1 health per turn is actually worth considering.
As long as [card]coppertail imposter[/card] exist, then there's little reason why anyone would want to play a 6 mana card that stealths your mechs.
Its still too early to evaluate but this will likely do nothing until some 4 mana mech minion win condition starts wreaking the meta.
Its hard to evaluate this card since the 'devastation' is an effect and not place a card into your hand. Therefore its probably only going to fit into midrange Galakrond decks, and likely the most common use of this card is to draw Galakrond.
Drawing your win condition is of course pretty good, but on curve without Galakrond its …
