The price adjustment is unfortunate, but predictable. Far as I understand, these countries dont pay in USD but on their own currency and fixed exchange rate (kinda like steam). So obviously with USD on the up its only a matter of time before they start changing the rates a bit. A moment of thought for those who have to pay in USD while in a foreign (and mostly third world) country, a mere 20 bucks can buy you up to 8 square meals.
That animated skin for Varian is pretty bad in my opinion. And considering that state of warrior right now, is there any reason to even buy it?
And Saraad's hp doesn't conjure any special effects, not even the usual jaina fireball. No animation, just a ping to the target.
All classes will now have Corpses tracked throughout the game, in case they generate a Corpse-spending card. The Corpse Counter will be displayed while there are any Death Knight cards in a zone you can see (like in your hand or in play).
Does this mean we can now effectively use DK cards as other classes, because previously only DK has the corpse counter so no one but them can properly trigger additional effects
But low key this is just a good card for druids in general. Its better than most 1 mana removal options like Holy Smite, and in conjuction with cards like Park Panther, this card just deletes midrange stuff, which is something druids tend to struggle against.
I'll not be too surprised to see this replace Druid of the Reef in ramp druid, depending on the meta and available support cards for additional attack.
Im not that keen on it, but I acknowledge that this card may possibly be better than it looks.
Warlock cards tend to feature drawbacks which most other decks aren't prepared to meet. Like Soulfire, etc. So chances are good that half the time your opponent would more rather avoid getting it right so as to not fill their hand with garbage.
Why would this ever see any play? There's no real setup for anything special, and both murlok and implock decks can't really afford to play both tempo and this card on the same turn without giving up on something. Besides, if I have to choose between playing Impending Catastrophe and this card I think I know which side my breads buttered.
Adding to further insults is that this card only ever works with both demons and murlocs. So this card which is already not very good is now limited to only certain decks as well.
Basically for two months your Goldshire Gnolls have increased chance of turning into a Thaddius, Monstrosity. It might legitimately be a real win con in of itself.
But outside of its obvious interaction with gnoll, its secondary function is to remove taunts or Radiant Elementals. That's about it really. Likely to see play as long as there's an obvious target for a straight forward win, which in this case is gnolls but not sure once that rotates out.
Lol, how is this thing an elemental? Or are we suggesting that just because it looks like a murloc it must therefore be an elemental/murloc?
But whatever. This card is good if you can activate it. More so in aggro decks because getting rid of tokens is not something lots of deck tend to have. Against mirrors, this card may just decide games there and then. Secondarily, this card's tokens make for very good targets for Shadow Suffusion, which I think this card is primarily made out for.
The main problem is how to activate it consistently, because you'd have to play some elemental on turns 2 or 5, and there's really not many I can think of. You'd have to essentially be playing elemental shaman for this to work consistently.
Dont think it'll go into miracle though. Backstab is readily available and yet that card hasn't seen play ever since edwin got nerfed. There's no reason to suggest this card is necessarily better than backstab, unactivated.
Its a good turn one. A decent addition into pirate rogue.
The problem? Well, pirate rogue kinda sucks. And it never really pick up play even during sunken city when it was good. Im more interested to see whether concoction tempo rogue is possible, because this card can fit in pretty nicely there.
Yes, this is a card for tempo rogue. Or pirate rogue, because that's about as aggressive as it gets for that class currently. On its own its not too bad, because most of the time it'll be a 6/6 for 3, probably too much to suggest that it'll be out on turn 3. But even on turn 4 that's still a good minion.
Probably wont see this too much, and its not its fault. The deck is simply not popular even when its good.
An omen that druid is going to get a card that expands their total mana cost next rotation? Because if they don't then this is practically one of the most unplayable card to exist in their library.
As it is, its already fairly bad on its own. Why would druid play a card like this, when two doesn't even kill opponents from full health, and they have access to other cards that would do the job, like astalor or even jailer? The fact is that this card is just redundant with or without the manathirst active. Adding insult to injury is that the card is effectively a brick unless guff is played.
Its almost like they threw darts to decide what to design for druid. Or they recognize how broken some druid cards are so this is a form of compensation.
It never ceases to amaze how team5's plan to fix druid is essentially just to print more broken stuff, then act surprised when druid spreads its toxic everywhere, subsequently nerf those cards and send druid straight back to hell. Rinse and repeat.
So will this card see play? Well that's an oxymoron isn't it. Its better to simply ask why wouldn't this see play.
For aggro druid, that would be because Composting is still better, and if youre playing as aggro and 6 things have died on your half chances are good you're not going to win.
For ramp druid, there's a chance, a mere smallest chance, that this is just too much draw. But I wouldn't count on that. Ramp druid is effectively a combo deck; its entire gameplan revolves around drawing anubrekhan, brann and astalor. And this card helps with that massively. Yes, its a bit slow, but that's hardly ever stopped druid, so why would it now?
I guess warlock getting another AoE and rogue getting another Vendetta is fine. Fortunately Ransack doesnt look like a miracle card, but I can be wrong on this one. Its basically a better Backstab most of the time.
Support for an archetype that currently can't breathe. For some reason this card is a deathrattle. Is it really that good that having it as a battlecry is too much to ask for?
Outcast dhunter needs a win con. This card isn't it, so I cant see why'd you play this over Dreadprison Glaive. I suppose after rotation it would theoretically be the only 1 drop weapon, so there's that I guess.
The card suffers from consistency. Top deck this card and it does nothing more than a 6/7 for 6. Even if you dont top deck it you still need three spells to charge it up, so you're kinda forced into playing lots of spells in your deck. The more I think of the number of contrivances required for this to function well, the less I like it.
I can't even think up what you'd want to get with this anyway. That big deck which existed for the smallest amount of time in nathria functioned well enough with Masked Reveler, so where does this card improve on that?
This card is such a joke. Bringing back flavor for the sake of it.
Because in what world at 2022 hearthstone is a 2/3 for 1 even any good anymore? And this card doubles the stink by damaging your face for 4 damage when it dies. Would it really be that OP if it was a 2/4 instead? Considering the self damage, you'd think a card like this should be more respectable.
Unless self damage is exactly what dhunter wants, this card simply never sees play.
You'll contrive this into every warrior deck imaginable. Yes, it alone is not likely to get warrior up a few tiers but it'll help a bunch for a class that's so starved off adequate draw.
To be fair, anything that isn't druid, priest or dhunter wouldn't be. And even then its 90% dhunter all day everyday.

If so then that's nice.
Its obvious support for quest druid.
But low key this is just a good card for druids in general. Its better than most 1 mana removal options like Holy Smite, and in conjuction with cards like Park Panther, this card just deletes midrange stuff, which is something druids tend to struggle against.

More discolock synergy. But chances are good you'll forget the synergy and just play it for the 2 damage AoE anyway.
Wild discolock dont need this because they can win very well without any AoE, and standard discolock dont exist.
Possibly something that might get more interesting in future.
Im not that keen on it, but I acknowledge that this card may possibly be better than it looks.

Its Seance for shaman, except its better in everyway shape and form.
Kinda dangerous honestly. Its low cost alone make it something that needs to be respected all the time.

More support for thief rogue.

Druid and shaman cards look nuts.
Warlock and rogue...well, enough said.

Just insane, and warrior needs it.
