People say that "words hurt", and this week is where we use our words to hurt our opponent.
Design a new keyword and three (3) cards that use that keyword. Your submission must include those three cards and a description of what that keyword is. A fourth card slot is open for submissions and you can use this to place your keyword tooltip in your submission.
Your cards must specifically use the mechanic to count. In other words, cards that merely interact with the mechanic (like Crowd Favorite or Journey Below) will not count unless they also use the mechanic itself (like Stonehill Defender).
You will need a HearthCards account to make a keyword tooltip. If you don't want to make an account, you will be allowed to write what your keyword does in the description box of your submission.
Wailor is asking for us to use some bold words in this competition. Something inspiring that invokesdiscovery if you catch what I mean.
As always, we can be reached through Discord or here on the site via PM if you have any issues to report.

Off of feedback, I have given a single Unholy Rune to Deathrider Strik. My other two cards are still perfectly on the table.
BloodMefist
I agree with pretty much every else that Corpse Conjurer is the superior card and I also think it could be a 1 mana 2/2. It's not that easy to use it with a big spell and get a lot of Corpses and it also makes me think of Plagued Grain which just gives you 4 Corpses instantly (and also the Creates) for 1 mana. Granted that card is Triple-Unholy and this one is Runeless.
My favorite of the two is Defiling Accusation because I feel like it has a stronger and more obvious DK flavor. Being part of a cycle means that it'll probably also get some bonus points from voters. I would try to zoom the art in a bit further to find the "ALEXHORLEYART.COM" watermarking that's current visible.
Tiny little footnote: I'm not sure why the card says "spend any Corpse" when it could just be "a Corpse" instead.
Anchorm4n
I actually disagree with everyone else and I think the card isn't too similar to Deliverance. Normal-statted resurrection versus 3/3 copy resurrection makes a pretty big difference since either has different cases of being better than the other, and if you made it a Shadow spell, then it would interact with very different cards.
That said, if the common consensus is that the card is too similar, then you should probably go with a different card anyway.
Dolphinslayer
A solid design, but I'm not sure why the 1-Health minions have both Lifesteal AND Poisonous since the way minions with Lifesteal or Poisonous are designed are very different from each other. I think it would make more sense if simply gave either one or the other and rebalance the card accordingly, but the way the card is right now isn't broken or anything if you really want to go with both.
CursedParrot
I think the idea of the Quest in a vacuum is alright, but if DK did get a Quest, then I think it should definitely be Runeless. The Reward feels like it would be hard to use properly, but as Link said, the requirement is a piece of cake. Fire Fly and Igneous Elemental were why The Caverns Below was so easy to complete, and they make this Quest even easier. I think the flavor is also very questionable since Un'Goro is a huge jungle with a volcano in it and it seems really far-fetched to try to freeze over the entire place. Everything Link said also applies.
Kel'Thuzad, Master of Frost is a cool way to tie KT to both Mage and Death Knight with a common mechanic, but I have a big problem with the fact that dual-class cards don't exist in Fractured in Alterac Valley. In my opinion, it should just be Death Knight.
Fencing Instructor Razuvius (his name is misspelled, it should be "Razuvious") has a similar problem. It's in the correct set for dual-class cards to occur, but since the dual-class structure of Scholomance operates on a "wheel", it's intentionally very particular about the way the pairings are designed and adding a Death Knight dual-class pairing to it breaks the wheel entirely. As for the design, many people try to make this exact design, and it never works because of a few weapons (Gorehowl in particular being one of the most egregious examples) that have very questionable interactions as to how they would work if put on minions.
I'm really excited to see what in particular you all come up with.
Little note is that despite the fact that Ghoul Charge states that the Ghoul dies at the end of "turn", the Frail Ghoul itself states that it dies at the end of "your turn" and the effects of Deathrider Strik reflects this. Under normal circumstances, this doesn't mean anything currently, but with Strik's effect applying on Deathrattle, it becomes pretty important.
The procedure for how I choose what projects get featured has actually been exactly the same since the series first started. What happens is that if I find a project that I think deserves a spot on the series, I get in touch with the creator, ask if they want to be featured, and then just send them a list of questions.
Right now, there just seems to be a lack of projects.
Glad you asked that because this is a question I asked myself when I first made the class and didn't have an answer, but fortunately I had some other people help me figure it out. The way Glimpse works in my head is that you'd drag the cards over and then the order of the cards from left-to-right is exactly the order you draw them.
I will admit that the 3 extra cards is pretty difficult to figure out. My thought is that cards are added to the main 30-card deck by default and then you can drag cards in and out of the extra pile.
Well there's only 2 entries so far and the competition is moving so slowly again. These discussion threads used to be so alive and now they're so barren, and attempts to revitalize them have done next to nothing. :(
But here's feedback.
Linkblade91
Honestly The Phoenix Chamber as a whole feels more Warlock to me than anything else since only Warlock really does anything with destroying their own minions (the only exception to this would be two-sided board clears). Between the Paladin and Shaman versions, I prefer the Shaman version.
Scarlet Monastery (specifically the second version) is an admirable attempt at the "simple, but elegant" route. I almost feel like maybe limiting the second attack to minions is the way to go since Windfury in Paladin can become quite powerful with statbuffs.
Naxxramas is another simple, but elegant card. I like it a lot and it feels like a believable card. If it weren't for the fact that High Cultist Basaleph was printed so recently, I'd say it'd be super good to go.
I did already mention Nordrassil, the World Tree being a very fancy method of hard removal in Druid, but the fact that it's still hard removal in Druid and a pretty cost-efficient one at that might rub people the wrong way.
Wailor
The Frozen Throne is a really cool card in design, but I do worry that its concept is slightly upstaged by The Scourge even if that card is UU and this one is runeless. It is still a really good design though.
Hey, I remember Orgrimmar. It's a good mechanic, and I like it.
AeroJulwin
I agree with Wailor that I think it makes more sense for the Durability to be lower and the Cost to be lower to match since you'll likely want to keep one particular minion in captivity for several consecutive turns, and thus the location would be on the board for an extremely long time.
CursedParrot
Very amusing, but its positioning in the Year of the Gryphon Core set is very questionable since locations didn't exist yet.
Bartigul
Welcome to our WCDCs. I hope you enjoy your stay.
Ny'alotha is a card with a good concept. It's powerful, but it's also very slow which probably balances it out. However, you should change the watermark on it since locations would not exist for an extremely long time since Whispers of the Old Gods.
BasilAnguis
I think this is a fun idea for a Neutral location, and while I get that the card is probably intended to be fun to use more so than it actually being competitively viable, I do agree with Wailor that it could stand to cost 3 mana instead. I do also agree that the artwork could be better.
FooBars
I think this is a really good concept and the way the effect on a location works with remembering the board and what you've played is some creative design space. I think limiting it to Beasts is definitely the right call. It prevents it from being too exploitable, while at the same time, more fun and probably easier to build around.
That said, you should use a different watermark. Locations still had an extremely long time to go after Goblins vs Gnomes before being implemented into the game.
(I actually had to post these at a smaller size than I normally would to get them to all fit in one line)
Tree of Ardenweald is a flexible option for Druid with some long-term longevity. On its first turn, you can use the Refresh option to basically spend 1 mana (and 1 Durability) on it. Its first option can also be of good use to provide a free source of Spell Damage for them. Ardenweald is known for habiting "dream trees" and it's a perfect fit for the class.
The Guardian Monoliths is an entirely original thing, but I thought the way that I worked the card out overall merited bringing it up here. In a spell-menagerie Shaman, it's just a way to get more mileage out of your cards that ask for multiple spell schools and helps you cast spells easier.
Bastion Arch is an option for Priest to copy some spells while you control it. The first card is the way the card appears in the collection, in your hand, and in-play if you haven't cast any spells (and in the hypothetical world where it's a real card, the card database for Hearthstone websites). The second card is the way it appears after you've cast at least one spell while controlling it. In WoW, Bastion is the home of the Kyrians.
I agree with linkblade, Skeletal Smith is your better card and also in that it's kind of too swingy as a 2-Mana card. I'd probably make it more expensive (with better stats ofc) and maybe also give it Taunt. At this point I'd suggest making it a Warrior card, but that'd go against what your aiming for XD
I believe the card you're looking for is called Mor'shan Elite.
Anything is definitely an improvement over the current version of Maexxna. I am slightly worried about how strong it is to bounce since Rogue definitely has the means of bouncing and playing this a bunch to lock down your opponent's board for several turns at a time, although sine this will eat up quite a bit of resources and they need a good board presence to be able to use that strategy, I guess it might be fine.
Arachnid Quarter is fine, though it does kinda strike as just a Freeze for Rogue, which I realize is the intention, but it might feel a bit weird to some people. Maexxna is definitely the most flashy card of the two.
As for Instructor Razuvious, if you do decide to go with him, do go with the first version. It might possibly come off as a bit lazy to reuse the same exact card for two competitions in a row to some people, but it's still a pretty solid card.
Wailor
I like it. It's good Nerubian flavor and Rogue mechanics. My only suggestion is maybe consider giving it Stealth to start with.
anchorm4n
Judging by the stats, it seems that it's meant to work with all Mana Crystals as opposed to just full or just empty ones (it wasn't quite clear at first). So it might be a bit problematic given that Priest also has many ways of summoning copies of it for cheap.
Dolphinslayer
The Death Knight version of Sapphiron, Tomb Guardian has an effect that's kinda neat, although damaging Frozen enemy minions usually defeats the point of Freezing them in the first place unless the effect is quite strong. And even though this is quite strong, it does result in it playing a bit awkwardly especially since it costs so much mana.
The Mage version is kinda cool. I like the flavor of summon a Frozen copy of a thing. The AoE Infuse effect is quite a cool upgrade (even though only 4 is quite small for this amount of upgrade), but it won't really help you if you don't have a way to deal with the board on the same turn that you play it. The Infuse (4) is also missing the brackets around the 4.
Maexxna, Broodmother seems hard to make good use of since it wants you to have a lot of Beasts die meaning you're probably spamming Beasts and then hold it in your hand for a significant amount of time which somewhat goes against the nature of spamming Beasts in the first place. It seems like most of the time, it would be better to just play a Timber Wolf instead. That said, I admire the creativity of the Infuse stipulation.
CursedParrot
I definitely prefer the second version.
My problem with the first version is that it's a location that actively encourages you to not use it since you want to keep playing Taunt minions to pump its damage while it just sits on the board and does nothing until you decide to use it at the time you need to.
The second one is mostly just "play it and use it", which is what I feel most locations should be like. Maybe you might wait for a better time to use it, but it still wants you to use it.
Did you know that Fleshshaper depicts Grobbulus? That's so lame. Let's make him into a proper Legendary card. He starts off as a small AoE that can keep growing into a bigger AoE. It's easy to play around, but if your opponent's strategy is largely centered around small minions, then it can be quite a problem.
Skeletal Smith is an attempt to push a weapon synergy for Death Knight since the class doesn't feature anything like it yet, but it fits right at home in the class. In some type of Blood/Frost deck, turn 1 Bone Breaker into turn 2 Skeletal Smith can be a pretty strong curve. Alternatively, it also works with Blood's handbuffing cards.
I really wanted to make a third card, but I couldn't think of anything good at the moment.
Some felt a bit disappointed that Return to Naxxramas didn't have that much representation from actual Naxxramas in it. Let's do something about that.
You must make a card out of the mobs, bosses, or locations from Naxxramas.
Whether that's taking something that's currently unrepresented in constructed Hearthstone or simply giving one of the bosses a better card for the modern-day environment, is entirely up to you.
BloodMefist wants us to return to Naxxramas (no, not the recent mini-set) to make some cards out of what we can find there. Get out here, Purator, this for things that were actually in Naxxramas.
