The Harvester - A decent idea, but Treant synergy didn't exist until The Boomsday Project, two sets from K&C, so be careful of that.

Shard of the Light - Not a bad card, but it seems a bit too complicated.

Worgen Claw - Flavorful, but both forms are quite weak.

Dragoncaller - Ignoring the error ("Driscover" instead of "Discover"), the effect seems… strange.

Staff of Origination - A decent idea, but it has 5 lines of text.

Savage Claw - This is actually good.

Of all your cards, The Harvester is my favorite one. Just fix the grammatical error ("losing" instead of "loosing") and change the watermark and it'll be good to go.

Understanding the intent of what you're trying to do, I quite like the card. Unfortunately, I can't help you with wording but I think the second one is fine enough.

The effect seems very Rogue-like to me, but I'd go with the Shaman version solely on principle that Priest doesn't use weapons.

I appreciate the idea, although I feel like Throw Glaive usually accomplishes what you want to do with this a lot better.

    Hordaki

Probably one of the better cards so far. I like it.

    BloodMefist

Infusion Hammer is a decent idea, and I think it works well in this prompt. Xal'atoh I don't like as much only because it seems weak to me.

I like Balanced Blade. It kinda reminds me of a reverse Self-Sharpening Sword. Staff of Souls not as much because it kinda hinges on the toes of Skull of the Man'ari, which usually accomplishes this card's purpose better in a deck that you build around with.

Have you been playing Yu-Gi-Oh? Because "defense" is not the proper word for Health in Hearthstone (lmao). My favorite of your cards is Midnight's Scythe.

Right now, my plan is either 3 mana Everlast, or a 5 mana 2/1 Everlast.

Do you need to say "this turn" on the card when launch only happens once?

Technically you could give it Windfury somehow and it would have that slight difference

I mean it says one time.

The Launch itself only triggers one time, but the effect will still last until the end of the turn.

Welcome to Liftoff! This is a full 147 card space-themed set that I worked on with several other people. It took 4 months to finish it, but we recently just did and I couldn't be more excited. This project was not started by me, but because I was the one on the team who's most familiar with the site, I'm in charge of the thread here for it. The reason for the larger number of cards than usual is also because we decided to use pre-DH rarity adjudications for Neutral cards.

Liftoff! introduces not one, but two new keywords! Those keywords are Launch and Observe.

Launch cards have a one-time effect that triggers when you initiate an attack with the card, but before the attack fully connects.

Observe cards take a look at 3 cards within a specified set of parameters, just like Discover. However, Observe is a bit different because all 3 cards you look at are all in your deck and the card you choose gets put on top of your deck.

Balancing tweaks will need to be accounted for, but this is the permanent weapon.

And if you're wondering about somehow equipping another Everlast while you have one already, then don't worry because this interaction can easily be hard-coded to not loop.

Is there a reason Ballistic Bot says "a Ignition" instead of "an Ignition"? As well as Calculated Creations saying "a Armed Gearhead".

I can't tell if this is an oversight, or a very bizarre intended choice.

This isn't my set. I'm just the guy who interviews the creator and posts the article.

Yes to alternate universe. They can add a lot more charm and life into the game, and it's a neat way to take advantage of what they already have.

Well if you're going to be sitting on your chair playing dozens of games at a time, then I guess you might as well be comfortable as you're doing it.

Changed Lilliandra a bit. People were telling me that it had too much Attack, so I changed that part of it. Someone also told me that it felt Priest-y, and since making it a Druid-Priest card was an idea I had, I went along with it.

Feedback (sorry it took a while to go do this)

    Show Spoiler

Linkblade91 - Imposing Bark is kinda neat. Julia Celeste might be weak if only because it's likely to die to hard removal next turn and it doesn't really impact the board that much. The second version definitely does more.

BloodMefist - Carnival Rager is funny, although it might be too strong. 3 mana 6/6 is not anything to scoff at. Haunted Spirit fits into the "really weird" category to me, and cards like these are often very polarized as far as the scores go for most people.

KANSAS - Yeah, this was definitely OP at 0/5, and you made the right call by nerfing it.

DavnanKillder - I'm not a fan of Life-Binded Imp if only because its effect feels more like a Legendary than an Epic. Persistent Spirit had some problems as far as dying to damage and granting its stats. It would give a minion 0 Health since, well you know, it died. If it takes overkill though, then it would actually give negative Health to a minion, effectively damaging it. In this case, I am glad you changed it.

Hordaki - Well you've already submitted, so there's not much I can do. The only thing I would point out is that 5/1 is not a very productive statline for a Poisonous minion, and it feels a lot like Vilebrood Skitterer in the same set.

Neoguli - I already voiced before what I said about this card in the previous comp it was in and now, and I'm sticking to it. It's not a bad card, but it's not a card that will get high marks.

MenacingBagel - This card is… fine. And in my opinion, it's that. Just fine. It's not particularly exciting to me anyway, but the card is by no means bad or badly designed.

Wailor - This is actually kind of a cute idea.

Nirast - I think I just mostly have to say what others said on Discord.

Anchorm4n - I think I just prefer Soulciologist Malicia. This feels difficult to balance and very swingy as far as potential value. Destroying all your Soul Fragments is also not great because you lose the resource you've been working to make this whole game. Frostwing I definitely prefer. You didn't capitalize Freeze, but it otherwise looks really neat.

ChickyChick - Well you might get meme points because it's a Rager.

FungusABao - The big problem with A'tur I have is that it's an Un'Goro card that is also a dual-class card, a mechanic that did not exist yet. Just a Bark is okay, but the name is not particularly creative and almost feels intentionally boring to me.

Grumpymonk - Priest spells fluctuate in Cost quite a bit, and the randomness factor of Lightforged Priest might be frustrating. Lightforged is also the naming convention used by Pure Paladin cards. Statue of Elements seems better to me.

Alfi - You've already submutted, so I can't do anything. There are problems I have as far as Divine Shield not being written correctly, as well as the fact that you've put Rush and Lifesteal on a card with the Classic watermark, which does not fly with me. It also seems very OP to me.

So Lilliandra has had mixed reception on both ends, so I'm just turning over to Ragers. XD

Explaining what the cryptic treasures are isn't that hard if you type which ones qualify in the description, but I guess people won't bother looking at it, they probably want the card to be eyepopping right away without need to delve deeper into information. But then what have we thought of Heistbaron Togwaggle when he was first released? Wasn't he also a little complicated?

Heistbaron Togwaggle was easy to figure out because all the treasures were exactly the same as the ones you could get from the Master Chest created by Marin the Fox as it uses the same wording of "fantastic treasure".

At that point, the question becomes what did we think of Marin when he was revealed?

I feel like I've seen this idea before somewhere, but I don't remember where.

In any case, I can't wait to see how many Ragers we see in this comp. XD

I realize that a few people will point out that Blazecaller and Da Undatakah are not bad cards when I included them in the section of "bad cards that got buffed".

What I really meant here, and perhaps what I should've written in the first place was simply "existing cards that were changed". That's entirely on me.

Friendly reminder that all of the staff reviews during reveal season are now, and have always been, completely 100% accurate and we are totally infallible. We have never gotten a single card wrong once in our lives. Nope. Not at all. Never. None.

Not gonna lie, not getting anymore feedback (thanks Link!) after submitting early is actually making me slightly paranoid.

But here's round 2 of feedback:

    Show Spoiler

DestroyerR - I personally prefer the first version of the card myself. Much simpler and cooler in my opinion. The second one seems a bit too difficult to understand.

Anchorm4n - I do quite like the base idea, although it feels week even at 3 mana. For comparison, look at Storm Chaser in regards to the spell-drawing option. I'm also not really a fan of the Corrupt upgrade since it's not necessarily an "upgrade". Even with proper deckbuilding, there are situations where the Corrupt "upgrade" is actually a drawback.

DavnanKillder - I see you've already submitted. That said, your card seems decent. It's a neat way of utilizing the Choose One mechanic in a way that we haven't seen yet.

MenacingBagel - You say you made something awful, and I somewhat agree (lmao). It's not bad, but it doesn't feel that interesting and also seems OP.

FungusABao - I do believe this new version is now better. The 3 mana version is probably safer since some Battlecries are particularly strong.

KANSAS - Both of these cards seem pretty decent to me. Although I personally have no problem with that, it seems that some voters will care about Old Gods theming in this competition (hence why I decided to go with Clithia over Feathershot when I noticed this). The only thing I could mention is that Beasts are not really a Shaman tribe (and in fact, never had a single class-specific Beast until The Witchwood), so maybe change Beast to Totem instead on Expert Tracker?

AnAngryBadger - I will echo what people have said about it not feeling like a MatDF card. In fact, that art is actually used during the ONiK adventure. Otherwise though, the card itself seems fine.

Linkblade91 - I say that you could probably make Strength Competition a Paladin card and it would be a winner in terms of flavor. The only thing with it is that you would play around it in the very same way that you play around Repentance. They just play any small minion, and the effect is basically just "draw a minion" then.

Shaveyou - I like this version of Pet Trainer better. Circus Elekk seems quite strong as just a 3 mana 3/4 that draws a spell is already good on its own.

ChickyChick - I do feel it maybe is a bit too similar to KANSAS's card, but it's otherwise OK.

Neoguli - Piece of advice: Unless all the tokens are simple and intuitive to understand, token heavy designs tend to do quite poorly. This unfortunately falls into the category of not being simple and intuitive to understand. I do also agree that Start of Game treasures that you can only get after the game starts is very strange.

Decided to submit early. There were a few cards that were close to stepping on my toes although they weren't particularly well made, so I wanted to put my version out there fast before anyone else did.

I was debating whether or not to even post these since I noticed that so many winners this season were from people who never posted their card in the Discussion Topic, and was wondering if me doing the same thing would improve my scores.

But I'm caving in and posting them.

    Feedback:

    Show Spoiler

Wailor - Elune's Scholar seems fine. Fairly derivative of Acrobatics and Stiltstepper. All in all, it seems okay to me. Maleficent Willow seems more interesting to me, although I'm pretty sure the effect is supposed to be a Choose One and not a Battlecry.

Linkblade91 - Hilariously flavored, and for the most part seems to hit a good spot as far as power goes. I can't help but think of using this with Upgrade!

FungusABao - It might be better for it to only draw Battlecry minions, or else the effect might be wasted too easily.

Davnan Killder - Although there's nothing wrong with the card itself as far as balance goes, it might be too complicated for most voters. Otherwise though, the card is fine.

Shaveyou - The balance of the card seems perfectly fair, and there's definitely some neat things you can do with it. My biggest problem with the card is that is perhaps parallels too much with Teacher's Pet, which has the same exact 5/4/5 statline, effect that summons Beasts, and the same Hunter/Druid class pairing. I also feel a bit of a disconnect from the name and everything else with the card.

Grumpymonk - Arlizz Spellweaver seems fine, although in practice, it probably functions too much like another Mage Legendary, Stargazer Luna. Freak Show certainly excels in the flavor department, and it's a neat way to make big Murlocs, although since the Dragon will most likely have really low stats now, the Dragon itself was basically a dead draw.
