Sorry if it was misleading. Im not targetting this specifically for the cash grab (even though it is). The event cards are just dumb. "Go Hard" lets you just make a whole deck of them, then watch Ahri dance
First of all it's Evelynn, also it's hard to get this to trigger consistantly you need to play and draw 3 copies of Go Hard then draw a forth copy, (and I think the dance shows only once per game, per card anyway)

,which you know..if you just pay 30 bucks you get em all!!!! FUN + INTERACTIVE.
And in HS you don't need to pay?
As far as I know, you can craft those cards with wild cards, if you are saying the 30 bucks are for crafting I am full f2p in this game and have a full collection just from doing quests while quitting for a few months in between. (you mean 1800 coins needed to buy 15 epic wild cards for the kda cards right?)

Keep those animations in their cinematics please, I already wait long enough because trolls like to spam emotes for no reason lol.
If you dislike emote spamming you can mute them.. you know.. also players on higher levels will emote less, the cinematics are part of the game and they are kinda neat did you see the Twisted Fate level up animation? and Nautilus? Swain?

Would be nice to stick around to see if collecting all the cards will help and that I just dont have a large enough sample size of what's possible, but there's a million other things I be doing aside from hoping Riot isn't just about cash anymore. I had a good run, but it looks like I'm a naysayer.
Every company is looking for gain, but Riot's system is that they gain money mostly from cosmetics and people who are impatient.
I play league for 8 years and I had in about 5 years a full champion collection without buying a single one with money (bought cosmetics though), that's their system they prefer 100 players spending 10$ in cosmetics instead of 10 players spending 100$ to actually play the game. (and by having all champion in league you have all the tools to play the game as you like in terms of monetization in the game)
Feel The Rush costs 12 mana it's not "just mana" it's a really expensive card, it plays the animation cause they wanted to promote kda and those cards are suppoused to be deck defining win conditions:
Go Hard is some sort of combo finisher it's a big effect clearing your opponent full board and you built toward it the whole game.
Feel The Rush is a big finisher to a ramp deck so it's really something special you summon 2 10/10 champions from your deck that's quite a big deal...
Go Get It it's more of a combo card maybe a combo finisher of sort anyway it's supposed to be a big build block of such combo deck that doesn't exist yet (or maybe it's not discovered yet).
Out Of The Way changes how you play the game quite drastically you should remember it got activated.
I like KDA as a whole, so I have no issues with them being in the game but I think their effects are impactful enough to warrant their funfair animation.
I doubt they are gonna go too much over the top on animations like that I agree it can be overbearing if there are like 10 level up like animations but most games you should expect 3~1 level up animations in total and if you don't like those you are probably not the target audience of this game anyway.
About the meta, there are some easy to pilot decks that don't require much thought behind them (like bannerman Demacia) but those decks are in every card game anyway, there needs to be a deck for every player profile at least(spike, jhonny, timmy) and every skill level (easy, medium, hard)
There are some decks that are harder to pilot, and even between the easy decks there are a lot of decision points.
About buying the "best cards", sure you can't really go too far with an elite deck for example that archtype is not full fledged yet(or ever, maybe it's just a starter archtype), so of course you at least start with a bunch of weaker cards and then get stronger as you go..
But compared to HS you get strong really quickly in about 2 weeks you can have a full deck of your choosing, in contrasts you need to farm like 20 days for a legendary something like this...
Yeah Aurelian Sol is definitely better, but he’s ten mana and requires a specific board state to play. Viktor can come out way before that a discount Celestials very early, and against Aggro he isn’t a dead draw. I could also see a Viktor/ASol deck being possible where Viktor gets out Celestials early and ASol brings the inevitability. Combined with the Targon Allegiance card there are a lot of ways to cheat out Celestials before turn 10.
That's why I think viktors' level up requirement is well made, you can have him be with a lot of combinations cause creations are prevalent in many regions, so you don't have a locked in region.. well at least yet.
I think that a lot of people are underestimating how powerful the discount can be. It reminds me of Herald of Dragons, but on a more durable body and able to discount more cards. One use that I don't think many people are thinking of is using Viktor in a Celestials deck to cheat out Celestial cards a few turns earlier. Also, Viktor would be kind of crazy with something like Living Legends or using The Traveler into another Celestial. Noxus also offers the possibility of discounting Captain Farron's Decimates or playing multiple Noxian Guillotines.
You know which card works better with celestials? Aurelion Sol
Blood for Blood should definitely get a buff now.. to burst speed
anyway this card is probably quite overtuned, getting a flexible draw AND give it +1/+1 at any point of the game, as long as a game isn't heavy tempo and has some value/resources into it this card is really good.
Mmy central point is that they solved mostly problems they introduced instead of solving the main issue (long lasting pain), they do this a lot of times introducing issues then FINALLY solving them.. like with Patches the Pirate and Baku the Mooneater they introduced so many problems with those that were complained for ages.. and then getting the praise for solving them.
sure you can also get the other analogy from this tale which is also a legit one that people complain about stuff that are not so bad, I like this tale cause it can got both ways:
the doctor is introduced a problem that didn't exist and solved it and then got the praise.
OR
The person is complaining about pain but it's not so bad in the end.
Which are both stances about the battle pass, that's why I posted it.
Of course I am on the patient side but I am also looking at the other side of the coin, did Blizzard did this kind of thing just to get praises about them fixing the problem and making us forget about the long time pain?
The first interpretation you've offered - that the doctor has caused harm simply to later get praise for it - is a misinterpretation of the "get rid of the goat" parable. This is made plain by the historical context of the story. It is a traditional Jewish story in which a poor (but faithful) man calls on God to alleviate his misery, and God (depending on the retelling) either tells him to get a goat or gives him a goat, and then the story proceeds basically as you've written it. Over time, God would be replaced in the story with a rabbi, or a wiseman, or (today) with a doctor.
Given that God is the original adviser in the story, and that God is good in the Abrahamic traditions, the point was never to suggest that God has maliciously ruined the man's life for the sake of praise. In fact, he already has the man's praise, as he is faithful when he originally calls on God. God in the story is teaching the man perspective and gratitude for what he has. So, the second interpretation has always been the actual meaning of the story. That's plain to see even in the modern, secular retelling of the story you're offering. Doctors swear a Hippocratic Oath, which first says to do no harm. The purpose of replacing God or a rabbi with a doctor is to make the story connect more effectively to secular audiences while maintaining the notion that the adviser in the story has the man's best interests at heart. That the secular version is now open to such misinterpretations as you've offered today is probably a reflection of a broader, modern distrust in institutions. But at this point I've probably spent more time than necessary on religion, history, and politics, as this is a space for discussing CCGs.
It makes more sense as a biblical tale than a doctor (I mean why would a man get a goat suddenly cause a doctor told him). I think I read/studied about the original story rather than this version I heard somewhere else.probably cause I didn't listen much during Bible classes(fell as sleep every class :D) , this was quite interesting backstory though, thank you.
Anyway, yes They made a lot of good changes this year before this progress changes but so many decisions in this progress track (which I won't go into detail you know what went wrong in it and some stuff didn't get fixed yet/won't get fixed) are really making people distrust those statements when they don't happen.
Shukie mentioned the pandemic and I didn't thought about that being a slowing factor and a problem with testing the game if people work from home and don't test as well it as normally (that explains the insane amount of bugs), but you are being too forgiving...
They did this thing of ruining the meta and then solve it to get praise a lot of times making blatantly overpowered cards (KOFT druid, DoD shaman, AOO demon hunter) and also they nerfed classic cards for cards they introduced in those expansions making the game even more expensive...
It's not about owning the card, but more about the rewards being pointless points and low amounts of exp (why are they even less than a daily quest?)
Achhivements are a great way to Kickstart players and fix the gap of new player vs veteran, by adding a lot of exploration elements to the game, if for example most basic quests rewarded classic packs, while upgrading to gold/newest expansion packs/arena tickets in higher tiers it would make starting hs much easier.
It's both a missing opportunity and a bait the exp gained is very low, you better be getting them as an after thought rather than aim for them.
That's great, except if the analogy held up the man's house would be completely fine at the end of it, and maybe even benefited a little.
What I find most amusing about your stance is that your central point is that the man is oblivious to having moved the goalposts, while not-so-subtly referring to a debacle where the still-angry community has moved its goalposts, and it is the now-content members who are consistent with their original stance (namely that the Rewards Track is fine so long as players aren't worse off than they were before).
You can still fault the cost of the game, but that's a separate issue from the introduction of the Rewards Track.

This would be the first iteration if Blizzard Actually listened to feedback from the poll they made, the planning of the system was lacking and it still does have big flaws, and it was very buggy.
achievements: giving 1/5 of a daily quest, most of them being pointless and most that do reward you require a legendary/epic.
Duel requirements: arbitrary collection based, the mode was monetized so badly..
Meta: DH being oppressive af, in every mode.
Crafting system still outdated, and unfair.
Pack openings are still heavily skewed toward 40 dust packs.
The 500 gold and packs is like asking: "come back now, or miss this" (another FOMO) , but they should've just added it to the track in the early levels so new players don't miss out on that if they join in February.. Talking about new players there's still that problem (takes too long to catch up).
Tl;dr: this is good, but not enough and still doesn't address core issues of the game, it fixes the problem they introduced, instead of problems the game had for years.
I don't think this landmark will be any better to be honest. If you play against aggro this landmark will screw you hard and if you play against combo you don't get an advantage. The only archetype that this card is decent against is slow control and even there... the fact that it doesn't generate an advantage makes it just not good.
In magic we have the same effect on a 2 mana 2/2 unit with evasion and this sees about 0 play.
I know i am very fast at calling cards bad but this card is one of them
I think you are probably right, this card is a - 1 card the whole game and if you are in the supposed mirror you just helped your opponent/got a dead draw.. But it's better than the university..
Guess Riot realized they gave PnZ too much of a meme landmark so they had to give them one that is considerable. you pay 3 mana for a symmetrical effect? guess if you play tf or go hard.. or go hard tf this makes sense.. or puffcaps!
It could be good enough by itself.. I mean would you remove this as an opponent? it also gives you a card..
The 3 breakpoint is important in runeterra, it costing 2 more mana and being slow is not really surprising looking as you need to discard for Get Excited! at 3 mana and it's reasonable, besides you don't want to give PnZ too much burn damage (they just did give them another but it's much slower)
It definitely replaces Decimate in burn like cursed parrot said.
I assume this is Viktor's signature spell? you can see his robotic arm in the artwork.
2/3 elusive was not played in PnZ but this not only comes with Calculated Creations so it might see play just from there, and maybe the scalling with elusive gives it more reasons to be played.
Seems horrible to me.. 3mana to create a card that doesn't see play, and even less useful than that card.
Ionia getting really bad cards..
Horrible doesn't start to describe this card it's so bad.
Only good card of the bunch.. but IDK it seems too specific to me only braum/vlad?
would say bilgewater too but those cards are not that great without taragon..
It that sucks* man this card is bad specially as most land marks just suck as well.
2 damage slow speed at 8 unit mana is just too slow.

MK1: can't target nexus Blade's Edge
MK2: can't target nexus Mystic Shot
MK3: can't target nexus, no draw back Get Excited! or always 3 mana Gotcha!
Mystic Shot is so good at removing stuff I wouldn't mind having more of those..
and with the recent buff to Funsmith those spells might be even better removals tha they seem, also powder kegs are an option.

A man goes to the doctor to complain about a pain he had for years.
The doctor suggests: "You should get a goat".
The man goes and buys a goat, and after a week he returns to the doctor.
he tells him: "This is horrible! the goat destroyed everything in the house".
Then the doctor suggests:"Well you should get rid of the goat".
After a week the man returns to the doctor and tell him:"Thanks a lot! now everything is fine you solved the problem".
