Year of the Dragon is a tempo meta.  Combo is kind of dead and the only (good) combo decks from Year of the Dragon are rotating in combo priest / holy wrath paladin.  There is always Maly druid but it'll probably be super bad.

Seems like the devs don't really like combo that much, are at least the ones who make final decisions don't want to push it.  They've said more or less the same thing in some quotes.  I mean a lot of combo decks are supported by "accident".  Stuff like Holy Wrath pally, Shudderwock Shaman, Topsy priest aren't things they ever saw coming, at least they didn't see them being real decks coming.  Sometimes they print cards that have clear combo implications but they don't support it as hard as control/aggro.  It's rare you see a card like Mechathun, and they're usually bad (Hakkar).

    Demon Hunters

I generally agree.  They're going to be nutty and meta defining.  I think counter decking against them is possible though, but who knows.

    Paladin

Somewhat disagree.  This set seems promising for paladin but it aint no KotFT Warlock.  Librams might be too slow and clunky to be used.  Paladin looks good but not great.

    Hunter

Really not sure here.  The loss of zilliax is huge for hunter but if that means aggro/tempo decks are going to be more common that isn't good.  Dragon Hunter has little comeback and is just decent at parity.  It really shines when it gets ahead because of its ability to stay ahead but if decks are more focused on fighting for the board early it might actually be worse for hunter.  Dragon hunter will still be a force though. Face hunter is a meme deck.  It's going to be trash in a fast meta or any meta in general.

HIghlander might be better than dragon.  Just depends on the meta.  If it becomes an aggro meta you'll see warriors/priests do the control thing and highlander is probably much better against that kind of thing.

    Rogue

Disagree on Rogue.  Gala Rogue will still be tier 1.  It's only slow in this meta because it's a slow meta, the deck can be tweaked to be faster by filling the slots its losing with tempo cards like SI Agent, Maiev, etc.  Gala Rogue is busted and will remain so.  Highlander Rogue with the Gala package seems a bit more sketchy but it could also be a thing.

On the other hand I think secret/stealth rogue is a bait.  The secrets are easy to play around and ignore, it doesn't create the double threat that hunter secrets do which is the main reason hunter is the only good secret class.    Stealth rogue is also not going to be that good.  Playing fragile minions for some early tempo/face damage isn't going to be enough imo.  Remember when secret paladin was going to be the nuts in RoS?  I get the same vibe from this.  Doesn't mean that some of the cards won't see play especially if highlander rogue is a thing.  Just don't see it as it's own deck.

    Warlock

Zoo will be a thing at the start of the year.  It always is.  How good or how long it will last remains to be seen.

Gala warlock gets better I think?  Gets a few new things, matches up well enough against aggro, has different late game techs.

don't feel like spending brain power thinking about control warlock, but it has potential.  you probably just play Gala warlock as your control deck and thats better though.

    Druid

Druid is a class i'm really unsure of.  With mage losing pocket galaxy and priest losing some things I think quest druid will be uncontested as the strongest late game class.  It's super liable to certain kinds of aggro decks though, so it might be trash.  It loses two super strong cards in the deck in Floop and Loti, but everything else remains and the package itself is still incredibly strong.  Quest druid could still be a thing if the meta doesn't punish it.

Ramp/embiggen/dragon druid could be pretty strong.

    Mage

every mage deck except highlander will be trash.

Highlander will be pretty good I think.  It'll have to be built less greedy because no pocket but it still has some insane power plays and swingy cards with Zeph, Reno, Conj, Kalecgos, etc.  Losing zilliax, the secret girl, pocket, and some other things do make its future questionable.  Mage can always scam wins though.

    Warrior

I think warrior is going to be good.  You can make a gala deck that beats aggro and hits control in the face.  battle rage needs to carry the deck but I think it's possible.

    Priest and Shaman

Shit classes with bad cards.  Might as well delete from the game.

Shaman has potential if they unnerf some shit but they mismanaged and ruined Shaman with descend of dragons.  They released the class with one of the most absurd power levels ever seen which is the result of poor testing imo.  Then they nerf it once hitting a lot of the wrong cards so people just cut those cards because it was the Gala package that was the busted part of the class anyway.  Then they nerf the gala package (arguably the wrong part of it) and now the class is unplayable.  The unnerf of Sludge Slurper helped aggro shaman come back but its losing all the cards that make it a deck.

Shaman is my favorite class and I'm super fucking annoyed with how they've ruined it.

Priest is just a walking dumpster fire and I feel the rework might have made it worst.  They took away priests best cards and made some of the bad ones decent.  I don't think that is a recipe for success.  Their new cards look giga shit.

This card is kind of interesting.  I don't think it sees play now but it has potential.  You drop this between two 1/1s and end the turn with 3 3/3s which is a solid 4 mana play, but its not like fungalmancer because you can't trade or push with the 3/3s that turn.  You can still do stuff like trade your 2/3 into a 2/2 and then have it transform into a 3/3 but idk.  This does have big synergy with cheap buffs though.

Cool design.  Hope it sees play and it might with the right synergy/support.

Just to confirm, this does give 1 excess mana, I saw it during the streamer thing.

Dog was playing this in a ramp druid with breath of dreams, the druid sidequest, some big dragons, and the ten drop that is a 7/7 that deathrattles a 7/7.  It honestly looked pretty solid.  Has potential to be like a tier 3 or even tier 2 deck.  Pretty similar to embiggen, not sure if it would be better or worse.  If druid gets some better cards to ramp into, especially dragons, it could be a big deal deck.  Ysera, Unleashed is a hell of a card.

I'm not sure i'm reading this right but this seems like it makes the legend  climb faster, yea?  an 11 star multiplier means you should fly up the first half of the ranks.  Losing one star at each rank floor means you still have 2x when you get to diamond 5, right?

If you do then this would make the climb much easier, if not then it seems longer.

is this really a welcome change?  I don't think gala rogue, which  has two invoke spells, needed to be more consistent.

but I suppose thats more of a rogue problem than an invoke problem.

    t2 breath

    t3 overgrowth

t4 overflow into zero mana stuff (defender / bog beam), or winged gaurdian, or marsh hydra + ironbark

t5 do one of the above again

t6 ysera, maybe with an ironbark on it

put some dragons in there, kaelthas and some innervates, nourish

idk maybe its a deck.  probably not but it would be nutty.

You want removal to be consistent, and this just isn't.  decks are going to be running lackeys, 1/1s and such.  It blows up your own board and doesn't consistently beat your opponents.

    1/5

Even with a lot of removal leaving, there are better tools than this.

This is a tech card for control warrior.  This card is about a year too late to be relevant, maybe it would have been played during rise of shadows control war and/or during specialist format.  There are niche situations where it's good against big burst damage, but a lot of decks can use little chip damage to easily get through this, and it just does so little proactively.  It's no ice block/time out, you can still die the turn after you play this.  As of right now this is a tempo meta and this new expansion seems to be making that even more so, and this is just an anti-tempo card.

    2/5.

It only gets a 2 because it does have niche situations where its good.

This guy is pretty strong.  4/4 rush is nothing special but it's quite playable.  The prime half is pretty nuts.  Impacts the board, heals you, good tempo.

These cards have synergy with gala handbuff but no other notable synergy with warrior's rush synergy rotating.

    4/5 for me.

Maybe a 3 but I think it'll see play in most warrior lists for now so I'll go with 4

    Quote From Me0203

    Man, what a lopsided dynamic!

Dean wanted to show off the cards. You could just tell that he was proud of what Team 5 has created and had a lot to say, but Kripp was more interested in trying to win than discussing the new cards. Dean would ask questions about how Kripp felt about cards, but besides jokes, it never went the other way around. And speaking of jokes - so much sarcasm from Kripp that went over Dean's head or strategy jokes for which you could tell Dean just didn't care to have a response for.

I don't blame Kripp so much, as this was likely much less structured due to quarantine, but this has been one of the less fun reveal streams. It's tough to get the same fun, buddy-buddy physical energy when you're not able to interact with your co-streamer in person.

Agreed, nothing against Kripp personally but I thought he was terribly boring.  People shit on Cora for her last reveal but it was probably slightly better than this.  It's probably a lot harder to do than you'd think.

Kibler honestly seems to be the best at it.  He has the fun enthusiasm for new cards, humor, and he still plays the games well enough and talks about the cards in a somewhat competitive sense.  He's the balance that interests both the casual fan and more competitive player.

Strong zoo card.  Will probably be in the more aggressive DH decks.

It's a decent card to discover and it a useful card but I don't think it's good enough to put in your deck.  In current druid decks this is almost useless, for example.

    auctioneer food i guess.

This is kind of strong.  Demon Hunter is totally new so no idea if it will see play.  High cost cards in general sometimes don't see play even when they're strong but I think this might be strong enough to.

It impacts the board, which is essential for high drop creatures.  You can trade this and leave behind a huge body.  If the first body doesn't die, then it's a sticky threat with a ton of attack that leaves behind a huge health taunt.  It reminds me of siamat in that it can be great offensively and defensively.  Siamat is probably strong because it's more versatile and cheaper though.

    I think it's good.

ok this looks neat.  This is the first time I've felt like paladin was getting a good set of cards.  This can actually make long game paladin a thing.  The minions have good enough bodies to play, the Librams are very strong when reduced but playable even without it, you've got a lot of late game value going on with the legendary for decks that go late.  it has potential.

Pretty strong.  This is a real payoff for playing the Libram stuff.  Playing this for 7 mana is pretty strong, slightly less healing than hidden oasis but a much better body.

Decently powerful card on it's own but not enough to see contructed play and it doesn't play the style of game hunter usually wants to.  Will only see play if there is another synergy/reason to play it like a spiteful summoner, mana cheat for spells, etc.  I'm assuming there must be something like that for them to make it an epic but it wouldn't be the first time they released a card like this for no reason.

we're like one egg away from being close to making a new deathrattle hunter list, and i'm here for it.  You need a good earlygame egg for this card to be good though.

This card should see play at some point unless they  just never print a good early deathrattle like devilsaur egg again.
