I have to wonder about the achievement assumption. I think it's safe to say I'll be missing out on a lot of that XP due to not having many of the cards necessary. At least in the grand scheme of things that XP is a drop in the bucket, and most people should have no problem reaching 50 or beyond without it.
Still, at some point I want to make an effort to hunt down what achievements I can.
I had an original iPad Air and Hearthstone was absolutely unplayable on it since last year, with framerates dropping below 1 fps. Huge reason I picked up a used 5th gen iPad this Summer.
I think the people that said Blizzard is pretty bad at transparency and communication are right, and that very likely fueled the rage. But I'll thank the people that gave useful feedback. I never said much, here, or on reddit, but I had nothing to add on top of what everyone was saying anyway.
You mean like a popup after each game? I don't know if we need that, but at the very least Blizzard should say how much each mode gives. I don't see the need to try and track how much you get during a session, unless you want to verify the numbers.
That said, I played a few games of casual for my quest, then a few games of ranked. Both aggro decks, and one ranked game went a bit longer, but I checked how much exp. I had before and after each game, and averaged 30 for casual, and 45 for ranked.
Perhaps they would've stuck with the extra exp. during events plan, but they were pretty well always saying the system would be tweaked and iterated on.
Edit: I should've thought about that community feedback is a vital part of the iteration process. Still, I think there was a lot that wasn't all that helpful.
Some numbers were dropped in the past, like was it 400/hr for ranked? Casual mode should be worth the same.
I don't know about any mode for 7 games, but I'd say, Arena, Duels, Tavern Brawl, Casual and Ranked. Maybe Battlegrounds, but I think it should require more effort than just queueing up 7 games against the Innkeeper and collecting your 2000 exp.
This is why I didn't start raging and quit the game. I took the dev's word for it when they said they would tweak the system. The concerns were definitely justified, but I didn't feel like Blizzard lied to everybody, like most of reddit and a few people here. Perhaps if it hadn't been fixed by the end of the expansion I might have stopped playing as much.
Thank fuck they removed the win 4 arena games quest. I never got that one, but I usually win 2 or 3, so that would've been an automatic reroll.
Win 7 in a week seemed easy for me, but as long as it's still worth 2000 I won't complain.
I'm glad they're fixing the tavern brawl quest issue. I'd thought that was a bug, but I think they removed mention of completing quests in tavern brawl from the loading screen text.
If you've already passed level 27 or 30, do you get the extra 50 gold automatically?
Edit: Was there a mistake, or is the planned reward for 30 a pack+50 gold?
From Nozdormu's text, I would have expected the Hourglass to restore the board state, i.e. everything on both sides goes back to the way it was when Nozdormu was played. Same health, and buffs and everything. Hourglass would do nothing to hands, deck, mana crystals, hero health, or armor.
Maybe it could be used if you don't have the tools to deal with the board, but might draw them later.
I don't suppose they plan on changing the achievement UI so you don't have to click them to get the points. Is this like the only Blizzard game that does that?
Hopefully. I think that was working for me. All I know is that I did the brawl last Wednesday a few times as warrior, so I'm assuming I had a play 3 games as x, y, or z quest, and those games counted towards it. Otherwise, I think I would've stopped.
Edit: Well it definitely didn't work for the current brawl when I tried yesterday.
I'm glad someone has found this useful. Alleycat is certainly a good card for this boss, and just about every hunter deck I found ran it. The only reason this one didn't is because I didn't have wild cards at the time, and wanted to keep all my LK decks standard.
Make any substitutions you want. For example, I put Halazzi because I had Halazzi. Those Lynxes make good food for Scavenging Hyena. Just don't spend too much dust if you can avoid it.
For a possibly useless anecdote, I got Greybough as my level 1 reward, then got Shek'zara in my third pack. I got Whatley after another 29 packs, but I stopped after there, as I was thinking about saving gold for the mini-set. So, so far I got my next legendary within 40 packs, but I could've just been lucky.
Lovely. 3/4 of the legendaries I have so far (including Silas) are in the bottom of the list. Though perhaps Druid and Rogue aren't that popular right now period.
I'm not sure about past events giving extra gold. Most event quests under the old system gave packs I think. But none of the comparisons took events from the old system into account either.
Wait, was that confirmed? Last I heard that was speculation.

I just clicked the link to hearthcards, and the dropdown had 10 for each class plus 45 neutrals. I just assumed the numbers were accurate.
Just want to point out that the wild west set that was featured before also seems to have 145 cards.
Are we certain that wasn't a bug?

I don't have twitter, and I don't care to sign up, but it looks like those of us in NA but not the US are SOL too.

Well, technically either guess would be wrong, no?
