Doesn't sound super great. It could be a spell of any cost, so you might not even be able to play it for several turns. You should be able to get 2 spells from it with Shadowstep. If we still have Shadowstep.
5 mana, and does nothing when it's played? I'm not having a lot of hope for this card. I guess it might be good with Animated Broomstick, or all the ways warrior has to damage their own minions. Can't say no to 5 free damage to face (maybe).
1 mana 1/3 is good. If played early, it will almost certainly survive a hit, then you have a 1 mana 3/4 in your deck somewhere. If you're lucky, maybe you'll shuffle in a 1 mana 5/5.
We don't know how many Holy spells there will be, but it looks at least decent. Maybe it won't be great for another expansion or 2. That happens with new cards sometimes.
Nice. It can hit something for 7 damage, and as long as that something doesn't have 6 or more attack, it will transform into a taunt minion and get all its health back +1.
If it had those cost and stats and Spell Damage +3, it would be OP as fuck. Since it's limited to only affecting a subset of spells, maybe it will just be good. Right now the only Nature spell we know is Chain Lightning (Rank 1), so we'll need to see more to say how good this is.
Seems like an aggro card. Could be good in decks that cycle through the deck quickly, otherwise the game might be over before you even find Mankrik's Wife.
This could be nice. Want to get rid of a big taunt? Done. Want to replay a strong battlecry? Done. Just hope you don't pull some 10-mana minion from the enemy's hand on turn 5.
I'm certain it wasn't in the list of cards that got moved to the Hall of Fame when I asked this. It's still not in the list of cards that got the Elemental tag later. Neither is Molten Giant.
It said the achievements are based on winning games, not doing weird tasks that require shitty decks, so I'd guess that if, for example, a golden card is unlocked for winning 50 games as Mage, you will also get the golden version of its replacement if you've completed the achievement.
I really didn't expect an announcement this big before Blizzconline. Some thoughts:
- Classic Format: WoW Classic but for Hearthstone. I didn't know there was a demand for this. Sounds cool though.
- Baku & Genn returning to Witchwood: I don't play Wild at all, but I think that should've been done when Witchwood rotated out.
- 27 deck slots: Guess that's the easiest way to do it, but the deck selection UI was designed when there were nine classes. Now that there are ten, maybe that UI should be updated.
Maybe it get's overwhelming for some people or something, but I think if I'm unable to complete some achievements in the current expansion cycle, I'd like to still be able to get XP for the next cycle to make up for some of the gold I missed in this one.
I wonder if they would make another currency for portraits. Possibly one that you can get only by DEing other portraits or spending real world money. If they do use the same arcane dust, I'm guessing a portrait will cost more than a legendary. There could be different "rarities" too.
Normally they announced the final expansion of the year at Blizzcon, but they couldn't because it isn't being held in November this time. I think it's a bit early to announce the April expansion, but I think it's a given the new game mode will be revealed and probably something like the name of the new year, and info on the Classic rework. Year of the Dragon was announced on Feb. 28, 2019.

I like this upgrading mechanic. If you draw in the mid or late game, you might still kill something. And if not, it's 2 mana.
How good this is will depend on how easy it is to buff it before you proc the Frenzy effect.

I guess this means they weren't able to get the new game mode from the Year of the Phoenix phase 3 ready as soon as they originally planned.
Expansion 2: Clearly Alliance based.
Expansion 3: Shadowlands?
Is that something in the works? I think it would be nice to have.

What about Mountain Giant?

So now that that's fixed, what happens with leftover snowballs? It looks like they can still be purchased in the shop.
