Oh, I can already see how Dane puts this in his Big Rogue deck and uploads a lot youtube videos.

[edit] I don't know how relevant this would be, but it does open some Mogu Cultist possibilities.

...but I personally think that warrior would concentrate on a mech package again (and for now only Armagedillo and Frightened Flunky would be the exceptions in that deck). I could be wrong and the Wraith might end up being included in the list...

On a second thought, I take my words back. If warrior is going to create a mid-range buff deck, the mechs won't be alone. So ok, I admit, that I was wrong and Wraith could see some competitive play in standard.

One of the leaked cards I see. Thing is, this reminds me of the typical 4 mana 2/6 taunts, which aren't really good enough, but I'm curious to see what type of reborn synergies we will see in the nearest future. I think this is quite good in arena (mostly in priest).

I compare it to sludge belcher. That was a very good taunt minion. I don't know, which ones better, but I think, this one might be very good in taunt decks.

    Hmm, but in which exactly?

Unlike dib, I don't think that adding this in wild taunt druid would be a good idea, because the player would just minimize the chances of getting The Lich King or any of the other beefy taunts from Hadronox. In wild, quest warrior has better taunts to choose from (+ I have stumbled upon some odd quest decklists, where Bone Wraith wouldn't fit). In the standard handbuff archtype I could see some synergies, but I personally think that warrior would concentrate on a mech package again (and for now only Armagedillo and Frightened Flunky would be the exceptions in that deck). I could be wrong and the Wraith might end up being included in the list, but that's why I want to see the reborn synergies we would hopefully receive in the nearest future, as well as the rest of the set.

[Note] Sludge Belcher was indeed a strong taunt, but right now it's only good because of N'Zoth, the Corruptor. And the wraith doesn't offer deathrattle synergies.

The cat is cute and can act as a cheap combo activator, but if you look at the current reborn minions:

you would see how bad the battlecry currently is.

I think the card is good; it could potentially buff Even Paladin in wild. Regarding the Spikeridged Steed argument - yeah, but the latter card was arguably busted. For 6 mana you got Power Word: Tentacles with taunt and a Stegodon. The new spell is similar to Blessing of Kings, but it can be used to kill threats or to deal a hefty amount of face damage and be a nuisance with its divine shield.

A bit slow, but the mechs can become monsters with the new handbuffing cards and Dr. Boom, Mad Genius (they are literally a follow-up).

Yeah, hence the could. I'm not sure they'd want this either but then again I didn't expect them to be greedy enough to run both Catrina Muerte and Mass Resurrection either. And I still don't really understand it to be honest.

I saw the "could" part, I just wanted to tell you why I'm skeptical this could happen. ^^

Btw you are not the only one, who didn't expect both of the aforementioned cards to appear in the decklist so soon. I also thought, that in aggressive metas they would feel way too slow and not that rewarding enough, but I guess Big Priest doesn't mind it.

Well, the whole Reborn mechanic was decidedly unoriginal.  That said, I'm sure this will help Priest but it's nothing earth-shattering.

Now, if there's a card out there that has synergy with Reborn other than the Paladin quest then perhaps this will be stronger.

I completely agree with everything you said.

This could actually go into wild big priest to improve their resurrect pool.

    I absolutely hate it already.

I thought about it for a split second, but doesn't priest already have enough resurrect spells there? I guess if you combine the ritual with Obsidian Statue, you could potentially gain 4 extra health and kill an additional minion, but I'm not really seeing this being used in big priest just because the minions will come to life with only 1 health and can easily be picked off on your opponent's turn. Casting Embalming Ritual on something without a deathrattle won't bring you much value (except in the cases, when you make a trade, the big minion revives and you heal it a bit). Imho big priest needs either a cheap AoE or a cheap recruit-like spell, in order to become more annoying.

In hearthcards a person made a similar card and people told him, that Desperate Stand exists and it would be very unlikely to see a cheaper reprint of this card in another class. The moment, when I saw Embalming Ritual, I facepalmed.

As far as gameplay goes, I think this has potential in some wild Auchenai-Heal Priests (you will revive the minion, that "heals" the opponent's face and deal more damage to them), probably in some greedy N'zoth decks as well.

There's an event coming up we're going to be rewarding people a special title and achievement, and it's going to be a bit of fun imo.

Good to hear. Btw I just completed some hidden achievements, but I noticed that their requirement is still hidden. I assume, that this is only temporary and in the future people would be able to read the text of obtained mistery achievements, right?

Yeah, this is the reason why Cubelock was so annoying. It wasn't for Bloodreaver Gul'dan nor for Voidlord alone, but rather the ability to cheat out demons and overcome their weaknesses (huge cost, discard). If it wasn't for Possessed Lackey, Skull of the Man'ari (back when they were in standard) and Voidcaller, no one would have complained about the two aforementioned expensive cards.

It was really surprising to see how people could use this spell, in order to summon and kill their own Mecha'thun. Props to the original creator for the ingenuity (whoever they are).

This card is the reason why I started playing casual rogue decks. The first decklist, which I felt in love with, from that class was Dane's Factory Rogue. It featured 2 Shadowcasters, Brann Bronzebeard, Elise Starseeker, Antique Healbot and some other battlecry minions, in order for the player to be able to survive the opponent's aggression (like Mind Control Tech).

I would like to see a Year of the Raven card back with a raven on it as well. The art is very nice.
