I have yet to manage a real Nozdormu match (set one up with a friend once), despite trying it out every 15th day of the month. I guess people don't play to have fun?
The only reason 99% of matches aren't vs. Mind Tether Priest is because Priest doesn't get offered every time. If they make all 10 available for every run, it will be nothing but Mind Tether Priest (and some Bomb Warrior).
Blizzard often talks about improving the "new player experience" but do they ever do anything?
My daughter (11) recently got back into the game after a couple years absence. She has a very small collection and not much dust or gold to improve it. At Bronze 10, we face Questline Hunter and Questline Warlock, both using all the top-tier epics and legendaries (like Flesh Giant, still an abomination of a card after the nerf). The best way to grow your collection (while staying F2P) is to earn XP, like that juicy 2500 each week for 5 ranked wins. This goal is literally impossible when you're facing these top tier Questline decks. What are these players doing at Bronze 10?!?!?! How is a new player supposed to get a toe-hold in this game?
I agree that mana cheating has become a problem. Post nerfs, I faced a Warlock who played 2X Flesh Giant for 0 mana on turn 5, then killed me with [Hearthstone Card (Battlegrounds Battlemaster) Not Found] on turn 6. The Flesh Giant nerf did NOTHING.
I also don't get the Granite Forgeborn or Kolkar Pack Runner nerfs. Was the 5 health on Forgeborn an issue? And how does nerfing Pack Runner slow down the quest?
The real issue here is that some questlines (Mage, Warlock, Warrior, Hunter) are too easy to complete, the step-by-step rewards are too good, and the final reward is a permanent, non-interactable buff that will provide lethal. It feels like playing against C'Thun decks (both old and new) where there is a clock where your opponent will kill you at the end of it. The difference of course is that the clock is MUCH shorter, and your opponent gets all kinds of bonuses for questing as opposed to just building their C'Thun and usually losing tempo because of it.
I love the flavor and mechanics of these new quests, but balanced they are NOT.
I think this contest is awesome and a great activity for this community. I really enjoy playing Duels, even though I SUCK at it. I've had 3 runs already with 2 or 3 wins each since this contest began, but I'm going to try a few more times.
Zola was good because you could choose your target, and who ever cared about the card bring Golden? Here it's random, so I don't think this is very good.

We got spam, spam, spam, spam, egg, sausage and spam?

Sweet deck, very fun! Beat several Questlocks and even one Quest Mage. Lost to a handbuff Paladin, but it was close!
I'm bummed because I was out of town this weekend and didn't get a chance to enter this competition. Good luck to everyone who submitted a deck!
Give this Rush and we're in business. Otherwise, meh.
???
In the best case scenario, this draw you some extra cards after a couple turns. Worst case, your opponent steals or silences this and you cry.
Worse version of Felmaw. Might be ok in some scenarios though.

Great target for Northshire Farmer for when you're not playing the Boar game. Imagine if this card was Tradeable?!?!?!
Fantastic finisher, and at 5 mana, you could easily toss another buff in there (like Rockbiter Weapon or Cold Blood).
Nice big taunt for when you need it, decent size taunt for when you don't.
"Give adjacent minions" buffs have pretty much always been decent, so I expect this one to see some use.
Nice defensive card. Reminds me of Arcanosmith.
Only good in handlock, and even then, maybe not good enough. Erodos made a good point about Lady Prestor though.
There will be lots of hits/misses with this one. I guess it's worth trying out.
2-drop? Draw? Tutor? Pirate synergy? Yes, this is a good card.
