  • To all the people saying that they wait to accept the request until later: yeah, I guess that diffuses the hate a little, and I'm not at all saying you shouldn't do it that way. But from my perspective, since I want to chat about a good game, when I see the person accepted my request a day or 2 later, I don't even remember what the game was like. If you want to be able to have those fun post-game chats, you need to accept sooner. To each his own, though.

  • Personally, I often add people after what I felt was a great match (win or lose) because I want to say GG! People rarely accept, obviously because of what you describe above (yeah, I've been flamed a bunch of times). When they do accept, sometimes we both just say GG, but other times, we have a really great conversation about the match or the game in general. Then I have more dudes on my friends list who might share an 80 gold challenge with me, or whom I can spectate for that quest. Heck, sometimes I just spectate a friend to see what other people are playing!

I wish more people would use this feature positively, so that you're not cringing when you see that "A recent opponent would like to be your friend!" Yeah, usually they're not looking to be your friend. But hey, sometimes they are!

  • One and DONE!

  • I'm totally stumped on #6 (and not sure I even want to know!) Where is there an "angry poo-poo"?!?!?!

  • #14 took me forever too, and even after reading all the hints people posted! Here's a (obvious, I think) hint for those still hunting:

What card lets you "create" something in-game?

  • Many congrats friend! Standard or Wild? And what deck did you main to get there? Asking as a Legend hopeful, one day!

  • Yay!!! Happy Birthday Out of Cards!!! So glad to be part of this awesome community!!!

  • Hi everyone! Pezman here with a fun, off-meta, homebrew deck you might want to try. Check it out, leave a suggestion, give it a spin!

  • Have you considered running maybe 10-15 Gurubashi Chickens?

  • Yeah, I could see those being good. But what did you cut for them? Ghouls work super well in Zoolock because you can dump your whole hand cheap and reload. Odd DH struggles to draw, so this might not be as effective.

  • Just hit Diamond 5! A new high rank for me (last month was Diamond 7). Going to keep pushing. Upcoming nerf to Priestess and Sigil Runner shouldn't make much difference.

  • This looks fun! How necessary is Ancharr? I could craft it, just not sure if I want to.

  • Now at Platinum 2. Hench-clan Thug is performing admirably. When you need to just jam a 3-drop on curve without attacking, he feels way better than Satyr Overseer.

  • But excellent choices to be sure. I'll make some swaps tomorrow and see how it goes.

  • I've been having a lot of fun with Odd DH. My winrate is slightly better than 50%, so it's not too too good, but has many favorable matchups. I'm hoping for Legend.

Card draw is tough. In addition to the class options, I run 2x Coldlight Oracle.

I'm wondering how people feel about Fungalmancer? I haven't tried it yet, but it plays well in other Odd classes.

  • So just about everyone here predicted this card would be insane. Now we've had it in the meta for a few weeks, I'm curious what people's impressions are? I haven't seen a ton of secret rogues, but those I've seen are all running this card, probably x2. It definitely gets the job done!

I still have misgivings about this removing 9-10 cost minions, though. It hasn't happened to me yet, but just the idea of essentially a 1-mana Assassinate that takes up hand space and has a body and bypasses Elusive. I know I'd be pretty steamed if someone chucked an 11-mana Ysera, for example, into my hand. Scrapyard Colossus is also seeing some play, against expectations. Does anyone else think Blackjack Stunner should say "not more than 10"?

  • Yeah, this seems unfair to me. It's basically as if the summoned minion gets a free divine shield. They could fix this by:

    1) Modifying the way dormant works so that in this specific case it would take damage (minions put to sleep by Maiev keep any buffs or damage).

    2) Or removing dormant minions from the pool for Bamboozle specifically.

    3) Or the attack just fizzles and does not happen. There are other scenarios where this can happen.

  • As others have noted, there is no reliable way to measure skill. But I've noticed the same thing as you, specifically with Demon Hunters. Here's my theory: new players with very small collections can access far more cards for Demon Hunter than they can for other classes, and newer players are more likely to make those clumsy mistakes. I'm certainly not trying to be insulting, and I've obviously made my share of dumb moves, even after having played for years. It makes sense, however, that many inexperienced players have been climbing quickly with DH, because of how OP so many of the cards are, even after 2 rounds of nerfs.

Not a fan. Favors mindless RNG more than clever planning and deck construction.

You're correct that RNG plays a big role here, but deck construction is also really important. Using cards that benefit from spell-casting (like Mana Addict) or from playing lots of cards (like Edwin or Questing Adventurer) can be very powerful.

  • Won a few games easy with Mana Addict. Threw in Spectral Cutlass and some weapon buffs for good measure.

Fought one DH who was playing pretty much just the standard tempo deck. Sad, really.
