I wonder if unnerfs will be announced on the same date, or if we're gonna get 'em tomorrow.

In fact, my point was exactly that the image is too unclear, as it is the "storm", and the Phoenix does not necessarily help.

It could be anything so far.

I am not sure the leaked image is so much of a spot-on for the Throne of Elements?

While year of the Phoenix strongly recalls of Al'ar and Outland in general, the given image is so generic that yes, you could be right, but it it could also be literally anything...

Eg. The Rise of Vashj'r (from the bottom of the sea), or The Rage of Proudmoore, or The Maelstrom. Etc.

Afterall, the Dragon had nothing to do with the themes in RoS, so the Phoenix doesn't necessarily lead to Outland/Nagrand.

At this point we deserve at least an unnerf reveal schedule...

You're awfully fragile if you consider this "insulting."

"Insulting" in terms of player-devs relationship, obviously. He even wrote it.

It's not hard to understand that the personal level has nothing to do with the game.

And just to be precise, the fact you accept the nerf-unnerf policy doesn't make you any tougher than those who don't (and for understandable reasons).

There goes the only Year of the Dragon unnerf then.

    Fair enough.

The rest is basically Wild stuff: at this point, i expect they unnerf no Warlock and no Mage cards, since the two classes are already too popular and too broken in Wild, and varied too btw. There is no need to unnerf them in any way.

As for the rest, there is no risk to warp the meta, unless they overly buff a class/deck that already has access to huge Tempo/Burn (ie Kingsbane), Transform effects (ie Shaman), or broken Board Clears (ie Priest).

Minor buffs to these could still be ok (ie Raza Priest could be ok in current Wild).

You are confusing "too broken" (Nagalock) with "very consistent" (Genn/Baku).

There is no way Genn/Baku decks are broken, unless they print broken cards that fit those archetypes.

But Even/Odd cannot be broken per se. They are consistent (=solid) at best.

Either way, I can't think of a switch that could rehash the Wild meta in a healthy way.

could we have a list of candidates? At least Raven and Dragon?

Squidface can go, for Eater/Mystic and you definitely need Leeroy in there as well.

In general, I think Kingsbane can and should occupy a niche similar to Pirate Warrior, where you trade the bare minimum to protect your board, but going Face the rest of the time.

Mill version is too slow and dies from Aggro (you have more chances by going Wall-Mill or hyper-Mill).

You should go Aggro yourself with tutors for the dagger - but it's still too slow compared to current Aggro or Tempo/Burn decks in Wild.

Old Kingsbane used to be strong because of the insane healing, providing survival in the face of Aggro, AND Burn power for itself. Atm it's just Burn power, and not even so fast at that...

We don't need any HS2: they can simply overhaul the game internally, if they really want to.

Game X is/was a design policy that is made redundant with the regular release of expansions: you release a new game only after you've stopped expanding the old one for a while.

They won't need any HoF this time if they are actually going to overhaul the Evergreen set.

While I understand your take, I refuse it as a solution: it's like a professional runner voluntarily cutting off his own leg in order to enjoy the feeling of running the paralympic competition (with the best respect for the category).

I don't want to diminish what you do, but the thing holds just because you decided to give value to staying at low ranks. Personally, i'm unable to do that (and just to be precise, I'm not even talking of very high ranks either, just stuff around r5).

Apart from the fact I don't have her, the reason is the same as why I didn't include Blazecaller or Siamat (they were originally in the deck and I was an inch away from crafting the DK): they are typically too slow for this deck, dead cards in hand for the most part of the game, when a silly Fire Plume Phoenix can actually save the day, simply because she can be played early enough.

For parallel reasons, the deck includes Kezan Mystic: she's won me more games than I'd like to admit.

If only Arcanosaur costed (4) instead of (6)...

I just love it when Blizzard fanboys get triggered by the truth :)

The reason I am here is not HS but other card games. And since the most recent threads show up on the first page, why not read them?!

This was an opinion thread, and that's what i did - wrote my personal opinion. It's nice to see this game having so many immature brats that can't take a different opinion to theirs. You'd make great dictators! :)

    Have fun!

Proof: look at the previous post, whose idea some people share: some of you guys know that the changes won't live up to your expectations (they haven't for the past 5+ years), yet you still choose to be hyped and give them your money. "Modern" mentality at its best.

You were barely criticized, yet you took it as a permission to call people "immature brats", "dictators" and other silly stuff.

You just posted for flaming and boasting your vanity. Reported.

IT: tbh, I am not really hyped for HS birthday. I expect the usual event with some freebies. Cardback is cool, but not enough to trigger me. Unless they include some substantial announcement in there.

Wild meta is in check, since there are no god-tier decks on sniplock levels.

    We've seen worse.

Yet there are still many meta-tyrants that warp viability and fun, thanks to some flaws they can abuse (mainly stuff reduced to (0) cost with minor effort).

It's not fun being burned out in 5-6 turns with little to no countermoves (eg.Secret Mage, Mechadin), it's not fun getting suddenly smashed by an early, uncounterable Darkest Hour, etc.

We can survive until next xpack I guess, but then I expect a substantial change from it and its nerf patch.

I'm not sure there's too much to dig into, from these teasers.

    It could be literally anything.
