The question of P2W and cost aside, as someone who plays Constructed and Battlegrounds, I am concerned that there aren't enough hours in my day to satisfy two Passes simultaneously. I don't care about this first one with the anime skins, but what if a BG Season comes along that I'm very much interested in? Alongside the regular Tavern Pass - which will now have no overlap in XP - that's a lot of Hearthstone to keep up on. Guess I should be thankful I stopped caring about Mercenaries, or I'd have to work on that too >_>

Stripping BG out of the Tavern Pass means I might need to make a firm decision between the two, 'cause working on one will come at the expense of the other.

BloodMefist - I saw the Painsmith and was like "that's just Blackguard, but cheaper and with Lifesteal." It is not; reading comprehension for the win lol. I'm concerned that people would just remove it like a soft-Taunt before the effect became very relevant, but maybe that's enough for stabilization. I don't like burning cards from my deck, so I am inherently biased against Marrowgar.

Moondreamer - It's supposed to be part of the challenge to come up with something based on little-to-no Hearthstone information: that way we can see who was right when/if the Death Knight comes to town :) Your Colossal is very neat, but it also has an overlap with Glugg the Gulper's identity as a minion that grows from its tokens that have Taunt. Not saying you can't have something similar, but it does detract somewhat.

AeroJulwin - I love self-Freeze as a positive: I've been doing it with the Shaman for years. That said, the Stealth irks me not from a balance perspective, but from a "Why does the Death Knight have a Stealth minion?" sense of flavor. They're not particularly sneaky, the necromantic tanky bruisers that they appear to be. Still a cool card, though.

Arkasaur - Gothik is a fine card; no notes on that one. Lady Deathwhisper is much more interesting to me, but I'm not in love with that statline. Obviously it's hard to say without seeing more cards, but are you suggesting she's the "closer" attacking minion looking to punch through after you spend your Frost spells Freezing the enemy? Or is the 8 Attack just compensation for her low Health, low Health being the balancing factor so your opponent doesn't get smothered by her ability? Like, I could see her being a 6/4/4, or a 6/4/8, but a 6/8/4 has me asking questions lol. I still like her, either-way.

Wailor - Unfortunately, while you could submit Razuvious as-is, you could not include the Rune spells if they are truly collectible. That would be like submitting a "package" of cards, such as Artificer Xy'mox and the various Relics, which we will frown on. You could tell us what Runes are in the description box, but you cannot post the images. That said, it is a very cool idea and I like the Battlecry version better: drawing a weapon gives me options on how to use the Rune I'm about to Discover. I would keep the ability to apply Runes to minions or weapons; that's a unique quality.

Demonxz95 - Just to elaborate on what I already told you:

    • Triple is overkill on Lady Frostheart. Double would be fine.
    • The handbuffs on Alexandros could be powerful but are not particularly thrilling.
    • Teribus is neat, but a board-clear you have to prime with another expensive card might be a hard sell in practice.

Having looked at them again, I'd say Teribus might be the most interesting.

I came up with a new idea, one that's not a "for the rest of the game" effect. It's inherently simpler, while still associated with the Blood specialization:

Not only do your minions become more lethal, the healing from Lifesteal becomes stronger as well! I'll have some feedback in a minute, after I pull my pizza from the oven :)

Nethrandamus and Altruis the Outcast were the Demon Hunter Initiate Legendaries, for reference. Both of them told us something about how the Demon Hunter wanted to function, without using a new Keyword: Neth was about tokens and death payoffs, while Altruis supported Outcast plays without actually saying it. For this comp, I want you to create a Death Knight Legendary that shows us what the class is - hypothetically - all about.

With that in mind, I have two ideas. I think the second one is more interesting, but I kept the Dragon in there just in case people prefer it:

Sapphiron is a Freeze-payoff card, but also implies there won't be any AoE Freezing going on ('cause that would be too good). It pushes the DK into a grinder-style Control deck where you run your opponent out of resources, Freezing and Taunting your way to an inevitable victory.

Lord Tamakeen is for the oft-forgotten Blood side of the Death Knight, a specialization built around tanking with Health regen and lifestealing. Lord Tamakeen would convert healing into Armor so you can overheal, or for keeping you at "low Health" for effects like Lokholar the Ice Lord.

Vile Library gave the minion +1/+1, then repeated for each Imp you control. Have four Imps? That's +5/+5. Now it doesn't have that initial +1/+1.

Now I can Abyssal Depths on 3 for Vanndar Stormpike on 4, instead of having to wait another turn. Sweet!

Snowfall Guardian got its arm chopped off, and I'm saddened by that. At least make it enemy minions only: there's literally zero reason to Freeze your own minions anymore, unless you're crazy enough to use Moorabi.

Control Warrior comin' back, happy with those reverts and buffs.

If people are uncomfortable with Mecha-J being more Discolock than Mechlock, I'll table it for now. I have a new idea, this time for Mech Shaman:

My early idea was to support Mechlock, which despite being an actual archetype back in GvG only received one support card meant to go in the deck (Fel Cannon). Supporting an archetype that has practically nothing in it is a challenge, but maybe I found a way: by marrying it to an existing archetype that gets supported. And by that I mean Discard.

Jaraxxus, Metal Mayhem has a couple things going for him:

    • Ashes of Outland had Discard support in Nightshade Matron and Hand of Gul'dan, so it's not out of nowhere gameplay-wise. Also has a spicy target in Supreme Abyssal.
    • The Rusted Legion was a thing, as well, so the flavor isn't completely off track either.
    • The Fel Blasters mimic the nature of Fel Cannon, so it harkens back to the sole original card in the archetype :D
    • Just to be clear, "put its soul into a Fel Blaster" is a fancy way of saying "summon a Fel Blaster". You are getting the minion on the table.

The location, Abandoned Laboratory, was my first creation before I went with Mecha-J. It has the same "put souls into Mechs" flavor, just on a smaller scale.

I believe you're thinking of the wrong Edwin: my assumption is they're changing the Edwin in Standard, Edwin, Defias Kingpin.

Kind of bummed that Snowfall Guardian got hit, but I get why the Battlecry was problematic (i.e: not really his fault; he died for the Macaw's sins :/ ). Freeze Shaman, you officially went from meme to the big leagues: who would'a thought one day one of your cards would be deemed worthy of the nerf-bat lol...

Turn 2: "I'm seven moves ahead of you." "I'm seven moves-" "It's finished, you win."

Thanks for the quick win, game.

    Early Feedback:

    Show Spoiler

MenacingBagel - Welcome back :D Being not-dead is good, right? Anyway, in regards to your card, unfortunately while I find it amusing I don't think it's good. Switching from restoring Health to dealing damage is a nice twist - Circus Medic had a flexibility that was handy - but the Infuse cost is massive. If you plan on throwing a bunch of people to their deaths to Infuse someone, why not just go all-out with Sire Denathrius? He gives you the damage *and* the healing :(

AeroJulwin - I could see this winning the comp and I'm jealous of you vis-a-vie its existence. I can't think of anything to nitpick at the moment.

Wailor - I think Vampiric Awakening has better flavor than the minion, but that doesn't mean I think it should be allowed to exist lol. Resurrect Priest pisses off enough people already, and that card in that particular deck is a scary thought. Redeemer of Sins is neat, but I think it needs to say "Infuse (1): Gain "Battlecry: Resurrect…" because right now the Infuse isn't "attached" to anything as a modifier. See: Stoneborn Accuser. I think with all the Imps around Lysa would be annoying to deal with, because there's a bunch of obvious cheap minions to throw away for the Infuse (and the steal). It would be like Tickatus, in my opinion; you'd never play it before Corrupting/Infusing anyway.

Demonxz95 - Party Greeter has great art: unless I'm missing something obvious, it looks like it came straight from the game. I don't think "Costs" should be plural like that, though. I like it more than Spectral Split. Spectral Split is a fine card, but the Infuse is pretty high and the best use-case for it - when there's a board full of enemy minions - doesn't correlate into a good situation for the player to be casting the spell ('cause you're spending Mana not-clearing said minions). If you want to go with the Priest spell, maybe up the Cost and the effect, but leave the Infuse alone: like a 5/6-Mana "Summon a 3/3 copy…Infuse (5): 5/5 copies." Now you're getting a big bang for the buck, and are more likely to be building bigger minions than your opponent; i.e: an actual threat that can't be ignored like the 1/1s or the 3/3s.
