I get why some community member "boycott" the reveals, but why Blizzard the Hearthstone team? What reason could they possibly have to not upload their reveal video?

Remember when one of the "revelears" made a tournament and revealed one part of Ironwood Golem after every match? It was mostly control vs control btw.
We had a season reset around the release of Barrens, but we still stuck with the Scholomance theme. I don’t expect to see it change anytime soon. We’ve heard explanations that they don’t have time to make new Brawls because of the focus on Mercenaries, and I’m sure that retheming a mode is more work than making one new Brawl.
To put it another way, I think a game mode has to be a runaway success like Battlegrounds or Constructed in order to justify ongoing attention. Duels is only worth it to Blizzard if they can leave it there without doing more work. I’m pretty sure I saw a quote along those lines for Meecenaries: They want to be sure Mercenaries can be played into the future without needing maintenance.
There was no "season reset" with the barrens release, only a nameless content update. You are probably confusing it with the rating reset in January, which also came with the mid-season update. The mode has been in Season 1 since it released !
They also confirmed that they are working on new duels heroes. I also see no reason why they shouldn't support the mode anymore since it still has a respectable playerbase, even if it isn't as popular as standard or BG. Duels updates are also still on the updated roadmap. The "Live Content" team, which is responsible for Duels, Arena, Singleplayer content and Brawls, is also not responsible for the mercenaries mode anymore since that has its own team now.
Speaking of Mercenaries, that will definetely see ongoing support post launch. Unlike Duels, which was always meant as a secondary mode like Arena and Tavern Brawls, Mercenaries, which has been in the works for over one and a half years, is supposed to be the third main one with constructed and BG. The Survey also mentioned monthly new mercenaries and I'm sure that we can expect bigger "Expansion" updates for the mode, again, just like constructed and BG.
I know that it's arrogant to do that, but I havn't linked so many sources before so...
So we can assume, that new Duels season comes along with the start of next Stormwind expansion :P
I wonder if that means that we get new "Theme" with it? We have "Wizards" since the start, maybe it's time to change it, Blizzard?
Season one came with "Wizzard Duels" because it launched during the Scholomance expansion, so it's save to assume that Season two will be called something like "Mercenary Duels".
There is also a chance that it will be launching with the patch instead of the expansion, because they don't like too release content that distract each other. That's also the reason why they released the classic mode one week before, instead of with the barrens expansion.
The devs keep talking about how fun and well received all their side projects have been - the Mercenaries single-player content, the Rewards Track achievements. I don't really get it. All those are to me is stress - a thousand small things to do for small rewards.
Keep in mind that you are part of the <1% of players who actually voice their opinions in public forums. Their data surely show that the average player enjoys, or atleast use those things.

I know what you are thinking right now "Doesn't that happen every Expansion?" and the answer is actually no. The mode has been in "Season 1: Wizzard Duels" since its release. Your memories might mix something up with the "rating reset" coundtown which let to the "Season 1 mid-Season" update in January.
I havn't found any evidence on a Saison update for the Barrens expansion on the Internet. Only that there was a nameless big content update
Season 1 came with 10 heroes with 1 HP and starting Treasure each aswell as a bunch of passive and active Treasures for the runs. I expect something similar with the potential "Mercenary Duels" in Season 2.
Funfact: Since it said "Next Season in 1 > Month" two Months ago I looked up this screen every time after they patch the game and today it was finally worth it.
I am honestly baffled how this was allowed to slip through.
It didn't, every deck is randomly generated. The whole point of the Burndown brawls are to find out which randomly generated deck is the most broken one.

Tracking is far from being broken btw.
Abyssal Summoner
Every card you named, excluding Mana Burn, can also be used in standard
aggro decks already won/lost at turn 5, you probably mean midrange decks which aim to win between turn 6 - 12
Honey? Where did you put my Gonk druid?
reducing, not removing
Maybe this hints at a overload questline for shaman, that would also make sense with Brukans current artwork.
That's like Countess Ashmore (lol, remember her?), but ony steroids.

he actually started out as a dalaran heist boss
He only said that there will be a questline hunter, not what it will be about.
I mean, you could always try to kill your opponent before he spends 51 mana on 10 different cards
The flavortext is great btw: "Xyrella was looking for spiritual guidance but found deck-building tips instead"

Yeah, so about that...
