Nah, whenever and after effects have the same result in 99% of all cases. They probably just changed it because whenever effects are susceptible for unintented interactions like the hilarious things you could do with Illidan.

That patch turned out way bigger than I expect. Also 3 new Books in one Month (including the BoH Malfurion for June 22)? I feel like this has something to do with the upcoming fire-festival, Duels Update and Mercenarie release.
Man, there are still so many big things to expect in the next 2 Months. Maybe they pushed out the Books now so that they won't go under the radar when they have this potential flood of new content.

You can also buy the whole set for 2000 gold. But chances are that most of them won't be meta. In that case you can just craft the few rares and maybe the one legendary that sees play if you only want to be competetive.

Yeah, 11 years is a lot. Blizzard released 3 new IPs in that time and the ammount of Blizzard fans and the general gaming audience also increased a lot. So I don't think that Article is a good reference point for today.

I doubt that the previous Blizzcons didn't make any profits (Tickets, Virtual Tickets, Merch, greater advertisement range, more hype -> more pre-orders etc). In this case there is no way they would stop the physical Blizzcons.

An rather new HS dev twittered that they just had an internal Mercenaries presentation and that it's "even cooler and bigger than it was last time I told you guys it was cool and big"
He later also added that there is still some time before they share it externally.
I think it's reasonable to expect an official trailer sometime between the fire-festival and the next expansion's pre-purchase.

That doesn't change the fact that the audience for that mode is even more niche than for classic. It would also be the least accesable mode because cards you craft might not be playable in the next rotation. Duels is similar in that way, but the rotations are a lot slower and you starting deck doesn't matter as much.

Cosmic Divide Bundle is available in the store for 4921 Coins, prorated for any items owned in the bundle.
Am I the only one who finds the price extremely steep? I mean 4921 gold (aka 50$) for 8 (9 if you count the zed token) Images and 2 animations sounds ridiculously high to me.

Tier S is an overexaggaretion. It's true that it has been one of the strongest decks since FitB launch, but it's not unbeatable and certainly nothing compared to Day 1 DH or Galakrond Shaman. The nerfs also never aimed removing the deck for the meta, but to slightly weaken it to bring it closer to the other decks.

Dungeon Run was Hearthstone's first go at a roguelite game and was released on December 7, 2017 alongside the launch of Kobolds & Catacombs.
Minor correction: Dungeon run was an rogue-like mode. Rogue-lites have an decreasing difficulty over time (mostly through permanent upgrades) while the difficulty from rogue-likes stays constant.
As for the questions
1. Dungeon run, followed by Tombs of Terror and Dalaran Heist
2. Mostly because of the difficulty. I remember actually being afraid of the final boss aswell as some normal enemies. That wasn't the case for me in the other modes, even in the heroic versions. That's also why Tombs of Terror is on my second place, but there it's purposly overdone and it doesn't have the same level of satisfaction when you know that you have to beat it eventually. The only exception is the plaquelord of Madness, god I love to fear him...
I mean, he literally said 99% of players were unimportant to them.
*cough* When there is something extremely powerful in low-level play, it's less likely for the meta to shift on it's own so we step in to adjust so long as it doesn't adversely affect other skill levels. *cough* (Source)
Varden has to compete with Jaina for the frost mage spot. I suspect they'll shift Jaina to something else to try to push Varden's theme, but I'm not sure I'd support it (not that it matters much).
Jaina is actually confirmed to be a boss. I belive it was from the IGN interview.

OG quest rogue is a bad example for your statement. The deck saw no play after the first nerf and only slowly crawled back into it when they released sonya shadowdancer and only became meta one expansion later. The second nerf also removed that deck from the ladder again.

Doomsayer has the major benefit of preventing your opponent from playing minions without spending additional resources.

I've seen a nerf suggestion to give your oponent a random spell of the same cost and make it free, but this would probably kill the card.
Weren't the lackeys initally 2 mana 2/2 during early development? Would be cool of some of these designs came from there.
fluffy is always used here as an Placeholder name until we get an official translation.

Also why remove classic for that?

Probably because the Patch wasn't meant to change the meta.

3. yes, just yes.
Probably because of the art
@IksarHS Mini set ? Are we getting close ?
@onescoop yes (Source)
