Wow, this has been the most enjoyable Hearthstone day for me in the entire Barrens expansion. I have been trying to make a fun Shudderwock shaman deck for months and have been failing, but finally today was a breakthrough. Made a deck that destroys the opponent’s entire hand and deck as early as turn 9 and got it to work multiple times. Something about seeing the opponent with no hand deck or board on their turn so early in the game is hilarious to me. This is why I love wild, so many cards to play with and eventually some combination of old and new cards can lead to a lot of fun.
It feels so good when your off meta deck with obscure cards like Light's Sorrow and Bolvar, Fireblood executes its gameplan perfectly. No regrets crafting either of them!
This is not exactly big demon hunter, but control odd big demon hunter has been better in my experience than pure big demon hunter because the 2 attack hero power helps a lot with early game board control
I am trying to figure out why APM Mage is not getting nerfed but the Tiller otk decks got nerfed in only a week. Can anyone share their thoughts on what key differences make APM Mage fine for the meta as opposed to Tiller decks, or of any other similarities?
Here are the similarities I see so far:
Both can combo as early as turn 4 but go off consistently by about turn 7
Both are countered by certain hunter secrets
Both are countered by certain mage secrets
Both are countered by hyper aggro decks
Both deal about 60 damage maximum
Dirty rat effect needs to be duplicated or the deck can still combo due to redundancy in combo pieces
Paladins and mages were about 60 percent of games for me in wild too this month at diamond, so it seems you can’t even escape them in wild. A mix of odd paladin, aggro paladin, secret mage, and mozaki mage.
Nice, I like this deck a lot. I think Rapid Fire could be really good here to trigger your Frenzy, and it's decent early game removal as well. Maybe instead of Pressure Plate?
I noticed all of my decks suddenly say updated in the last 2 hours, and I checked and it’s the same thing with other accounts too, some accounts with 100s of decks suddenly show them all as being updated at different times in the 2 hours. What is going on, is this supposed to be happening?
Also I am playing murloc shaman in the past few days in wild to get insight into the deck before the expansion launches and you often win without having to reload just by your early board tempo and buff snowballing so I think the non quest version is actually better to not skip your turn 1 but the quest for reload might be a tech if you’re seeing many control decks. Plus you have Underbelly Angler for reload.
That’s seriously an awesome idea! It’s similar to how control warriors run Risky Skipper and Lord Barov except better because it will only clear the enemy board.
Most of these cards are good by themselves, but with combo with freeze spells you can get mass board clears and removal. It might have enough synergy now to be consistently powerful in reno mage.
Can this make murloc shaman in wild at least a tier 3 deck? Any thoughts? I'm leaning towards it will be at least low tier 3 and not completely off meta as it is now.
The main reason why it’s not in is because it makes your Call to Arms less consistent, but it’s definitely a great idea for the reno version which doesn’t run Call to Arms! Thanks for suggesting it, I will try it out.
Is this too powerful? I wanted it to be an archetype defining card and finisher. Maybe it's more balanced to only target minions?
Another idea:
Maybe a better name is Unstable Gnome, to fit with the idea of his spellcasting being unstable and casting random spells. I will change ice to frost. Another idea is adding a random spell of the other type to your hand, is that better than casting random spells?
It's called Vacuum Shaman because of the feeling that you're sucking all the cards out of your opponent's hand and deck.

Glad to see another renounce player! It’s my favorite epic card as well.
Tirion is good, Cariel Roame is another good choice that might be better if you have her since she can discount some of your buff cards.

I’m on NA, so meta might be different

Neeru warlock? Or destroy your deck warlock? Something to do with that archetype as none of the current warlock archetypes fit it.
I found multiple decks with this:

I would recommend replacing Shotbot or another 2 drop with Injured Tol'vir for the highroll potential with Call to Arms.
How about trying the quest for wild to reload? Unite the Murlocs

With Toxfin maybe?
I am going to test out the following freeze package in wild reno control mage:
Frost Nova
Blizzard
Ray of Frost
Frostbolt
Glacial Shard
Glacier Racer
Depth Charge
Doomsayer
Coldwraith
The new legendary Varden Dawngrasp
Most of these cards are good by themselves, but with combo with freeze spells you can get mass board clears and removal. It might have enough synergy now to be consistently powerful in reno mage.
