This is a very good series, I wonder if you could do a similar thing for wild?

Don’t stay away from wild, it’s very fun to counter the tiller otk decks while you can with different ways like a rogue deck with Flik Skyshiv and Wretched Tiller and tons of draw or if you want a more generally competitive deck a hunter deck with tons of counters like Freezing Trap, Swamp King Dred, Snipe, and Desert Camel.

I would recommend using a Renolock with tech for both reno priest and secret mage.  It worked very well for me this season against both of those decks for ranked in diamond.

If you will get the mini set tomorrow you can replace it with Moonfang who is good with handbuffs although Zixor, Apex Predator is still better.  If you will not get the set try Tundra Rhino.

Another cool win is winning against a priest turn 4 with a buffed windfury wolpertinger.

I had one of the best games ever in hearthstone with this deck, where it managed to win with exact lethal after a renolock played reno jackson, then a full Guldan board, then a full board of 6/6 clowns.  The final blow was huge buffed porcupines and Zixor Primes trading into the clown board and the porcupine deathrattles winning the game with all the clowns destroyed and lethal.

Another game to illustrate this deck’s power is winning despite a warlock getting a turn 4 enchanced dreadlord and then skull of the manari turn 5 into big demons like voidlord.

Most aggressive decks would have lost both of those games after the warlock highrolls and strong game ending cards, but this deck has the power to both beat up slow decks early and win on turn 6 and go the long game and win later, so it feels like any matchup is winnable.

Hi Pezman, thanks for the suggestion, it seemed like a good idea to me too and an earlier iteration had him but it was too inconsistent to actually work and saving buffed wolpertingers for that was counterproductive vs playing early for huge tempo and then attacking several times.  I actually replaced the tundra rhinos for the gryphons which work a lot better for early removal tempo and drawing your key minions including buffed ones from Dire Frenzy.

So far I won vs all big priests (about 3 so far) by building up a huge board and going face early before they got their ressurects going.

Nice deck!  Would you consider making an egg reno warlock?  I noticed this deck has only 6 duplicates.  I’m not sure if it’s necessarily better but Zephrys for burst lethal is very nice.

Just played another game and won again with secret destroyer shaman at full health and them at no cards in hand.  So easy.  So the deck is 9-1 now.

I played another game with this deck just now against secret mage and again, won at 25 health and 5 armor, clear enemy board, no enemy secrets, and enemy almost at fatigue.  And my hand was still full of removals and heals too.

So far I only played it 8 times against secret mage and I won 7 of those, and it was not even close.  I would be glad to play 12 more to give a sample size of 20 but it will take a while.  Also, this deck is not supposed to beat other decks.  As stated in the description, it’s a troll deck solely designed to beat secret mage, so just concede against other decks.  If you are looking for a deck to play to rank up, again, as said in the guide, this is not the deck for you.  After destroying secrets you have a ton of extra secret removal, clears, and heals, they can’t really kill you by turn 4 unless they get really lucky.  The way I usually won was a secret clear on turn 4 or 3 with the coin and then further secret clear cards or removals or healing later.  They don’t win by turn 5 unless they have very good draws and after that you just heal out of reach and keep destroying their secrets and healing and removing.  Furthermore, there are a lot of turn 3 cards you can play too.

Edit: After thinking about it, you are not commenting in good faith as you have clearly not read the description of the deck before commenting on it.  So, I am not going to respond to you any more.  I am still going to get a larger sample size and post it as a comment if anyone is interested.  However, I did want to post the deck with a smaller sample size as it seemed to win very convincingly, and more importantly for a troll deck, in a very satisfying way.

Is it possible your hunter list is somehow better against them than the standard one or you are playing it better than most people?  Based on vicious syndicate stats secret mage is highly favored but maybe most people misplay in that matchup.  Any specific suggestions for how to play deathrattle hunter in that matchup or any cards you use different than their list?

Reno priest used to be very favored as was reno mage.  However, after this expansion’s new cards for secret mage the matchup has shifted.  Did you play before the expansion or after?  Also, the new refined secret mage was only popularized in the past month so maybe you played before then.

This new meta report https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/wild-vs-data-reaper-report-25/ just came out today which is stat based, not opinion based, and it shows secret mage as the best deck by a large margin and having favored or highly favored matchups into every other deck except pirate warrior, where the matchup is neutral.  So there is no meta counter to this deck.  I wonder what experiences everyone is having with wild ladder related to secret mage?

You can replace it with Stormstrike.

Dragonrider Talritha is a good idea, I think for anyone reading this maybe put her in instead of Consecration if you have her.  I don’t have her and don’t want to craft her but she seems good for sure.  Also, I actually tried making a dragon Highlander paladin but as I was making it I realized that almost half the deck was just empty as there are not a lot of good dragons.  It’s definitely possible to make a Highlander Dragon deck that has other themes for the rest of the deck but I just wanted a deck to maximize playing around with dragon synergy like Dragon Speaker.

I was trying to get to 1000 warlock wins today.  I play wild only.  When I had one more game to 1000 wins, I chose Renolock as it is my favorite warlock deck and matched against some Big Priest.  My first 2 Kazakus potions (I added a copy using Zola the Gorgon) did not give sheep nor removal, so I thought I would run out of clears by the end.  Their priest deck had the usual big priest minions and Prophet Velen, Emperor Thaurissan, and 2 Mind Blast for a direct damage combo.  I got lucky with my Tickatus and burned both of their mind blasts.  The game was going all the way near fatigue, with me having only 5 cards left in the deck.  It was a close game where a nice Plague of Flames clear was set up, a nice Lord Godfrey clear, a good N’zoth board, and finally a Gul’dan board to match one of their resurrect boards.  After all the Emperor Thaurissan ticks, they played Mass Hysteria and then Psychic Scream for 0 mana.  I thought, maybe they are out of ress spells, as their hand was almost empty.  But no, they played another Mass Resurrection and even got Archmage Vargoth which usually doubles their board size (usually but not this time).  I thought that Renolock had lasted so long vs Big Priest, almost fatiguing them and running them out of resources, only to have no removal for their final board.  If even one of the Kazakus potions had been decent, I probably would have won, was the thought.

At this point, it seems this is a story with a salt thread rather than pepper thread ending.  But then, the most hilarious thing happened.  At the end of their turn, Archmage Vargoth recast Mass Hysteria which destroyed almost all of their board.

After that they were out of resurrect spells and it was easy to win and get the 1000 wins warlock portrait, and it turned out to be such a memorable final battle.
