Always love these list. Nice nostalgia trip for me. I didn't play much mage despite it being one of my early characters. Still boosted it for legion because those class stories were mostly good. The mage one I really enjoy for the Dreadlord activity. Felstorm is a real interesting character and getting More from him in and out of hearthstone is needed.
Also Arygos, I forgot about that. But more dragons are always welcome.
I love this guy's art. The old gods are amazingly done. My one wish is that the card art was big enough to fit the tents and other rides they are destroying. I love Yogg smashing the roller coaster, it makes the art feel Darkmoon Faire and not just Whisper's of the Old Gods again.
The full screen arts are just amazing. Look at Wild Pyromancer just stepping over a corpse. So good! These will end up on my desktop wallpaper at some point for sure.
Resurrect is most dominant in Priest. They have the best range in res cards with wide board options like Mass Resurrection or targeted like Eternal Servitude or preemptive with Grave Rune.
Paladin has a more selective resurrect style with Kangor's Endless Army being mech specific or reactive with [Hearthstone Card (Redemtion) Not Found] or Reborn from Making Mummies.
Rally! is a nice mix. Selective but still a wide board (at least early game). Seems very strong with good early deathrattle minions.
Might as well document mine here for comparison next expansion.
I'm just a casual player and usually end up with about 2k gold before an expansion launch. Right now I have 3300. Which I wonder is me buying less packs to save up for the mini set or the achievements pushing extra Xp I didn't have before.
Free to play track at lvl 62 as of 1/18. (hit 50 about 1/10)
I didn't buy the paid track as skins didn't appeal to me. Don't get me wrong I like cosmetics but the level 50 one was enough to satisfy me. Surprised I got it this early I would have guessed it would be closer to feb. I'm enjoying the system overall. Yes there are still things to fix but they are moving in the right direction. Slowly but how else does Blizzard move but slow and deliberate! Ha.
I loved Galakrond's Awakening adding in Shotbot. Kind of a end of the year push to make Making Mummies viable. Wasn't quite enough but seeing Reborn come back and getting that "oh maybe" moment is fun. If this mini-set does push mechanics from the year I'd be very happy. I was already excited for Corrupt to return since I crafted [Hearthstone Card (Y'sharaaj, the Defiler) Not Found].
If they bring back Spellburst I'd be very happy. One of my favorite mechanics. Dormant too was more interesting than I first thought. Another Prime, especially for Demon Hunter, would be welcome too.
Dual-Class being further explored is also a plus. For a smaller set having cards that effect multiple classes is great. If they stick to the same duos I'd be happy. I feel some of them didn't get pushed far enough (Big demons for warlock/dh, or weapons for rogue/warrior). However I love some of your pairings. Attacking for Druid/DH is great. Hero attack druid doesn't get enough love (Gonk, the Raptor). The Impurity Warlock/Paladin made me laugh. That's actually an amazing idea.
N'Zoth, God of the Deep being least popular makes me a bit sad. I love 'build around me' cards like this. I've had a lot of fun experimenting with this card. Hopefully the mini set pushes him just a bit more in a few other classes. (Fingers crossed for a big neutral Totem! ha).
Yea I pulled Kiri but dropped it to o pure spells which has been working well.
I was mostly curious if having Kiri in a deck meant people only run the Eclipses as 1 offs. But I'm now thinking that doesn't matter as I assume the data just checks if it's in the deck not the number of copies.
That's my favorite thing about card games. The puzzle of "will this now work". I saw a deck on here as a hunter, maxima and ancient one combo. I think I now have to craft a Maxima!
Solar Eclipse is one of my favorite cards of this expansion. Though I wonder if the existence of Kiri, Chosen of Elune messes with inclusion rates. Since this card produces the eclipses?
I have seen a lot of decks use it for high cost combos like Cenarion Ward. I however find it having a lot of success midgame to double up card draw or finish of an opponent.
Despite all the negatives surrounding montization, I really enjoy this expansion. This year over all has produced really interesting sets.
I got lucky getting N'Zoth, God of the Deep as my freebie, who I wanted. Now it's down to a coinflip. Maybe wait another day or two see what decks look fun.
I also pulled a High Exarch Yrel. I'm going to mess around with that but I never pulled many other key cards for pure Paladin. Gonna see what I can craft.
Maxima Blastenheimer is on my short list to craft. That deck looks real fun! The other Old Gods are also up there, I do love my Yogg moments.
Shaman got pulled in a lot of directions this expac. Murlocs, totems, attacking. That said the attacking portion is quite strong. I'm assuming the rest sets up for the futre.
Also A+ on Eyes'ore naming, art, theme ect. Perfect. I laughed way to hard at that card and it does look powerful in the right deck. Just not sure we have all the pieces yet.
As for Yrel and Lothraxion, I'm assuming Blizzard just didn't see a place to add them in the future. So they put them here as the heroes. Paladin in the Old Gods set didn't get corrupted and where the heroes. I assume the same is going on here. They were sent to stop the corruption that got reported.
I do agree Moonfang would be cool or the other band Blightboar getting a card. There are many characters in WoW though and not all can get a spotlight. With the mini set. as Goliath said, it should add more. So who knows what shows up. I'm just glad they included G'huun and Il'gynoth, two of my favorite Old God minions. Maybe they'll bring in Mythrax next. I love the theme and flavor of most of their expansions. They hit a lot of cool characters and even make up some good ones too (Finley).

I have mine. You have to remember to enable it in the collection. I keep forgetting.
Some of my favorite games. I think 2, 4 and 5 were my most played. I think 5 I even had an expansion.
Lu Bu was a monster to fight with new characters. Definitely buying the Garash version just for that memory.
Sad my guy isn't here. He had the 2 claws! I wish my ps2 didn't get stolen!

I would love to see Magatha or Nobundo as alternative hero's instead of cards just to get away from orcs for a bit.
Also please blizz give us Therazane!

It's wierd that they are 5/5s. Definitely a bug.
The only thing I can think of is if it's casting all three forms of Wisps.
The "both" spell which would make seven 3/3.
Then the seven 1/1s which it can't do as your board is full.
Then the +2/+2 version. This leaves you with 5/5s.
I havent seen it enough to see if it does this when it casts all Chose One cards. Might be card specific with Wisps of the of Gods.

Inventive combo. Love seeing underused cards like Body Wrapper and Blood of The Ancient One find a home.
Madness at the Darkmoon Faire added these
Rigged Faire Game for Mages
Open the Cages for Hunter
Shadow Clone for Rogue
Oh My Yogg! for Paladin
Scholomance Academy added
Plagiarize for Rogue
I'm that way too. If I like something I'll craft it. Still dust is limited and I'm torn between Maxima Blastenheimer or Tickatus. Both look real fun. Plus I got High Exarch Yrel but have few other strong Paladin cards. Tempted by Lady Liadrin and High Abbess Alura here.
I got lucky getting N'Zoth, God of the Deep as my freebie, who I wanted. Now it's down to a coinflip. Maybe wait another day or two see what decks look fun.
First try Menagerie Deathrattle Hunter. Really fun but tough figuring out the early game defenses.
I got Kiri, Chosen of Elune in my packs but thought without Survival of the Fittest my deck would suffer. So I made a no minion version with just the Solar Eclipseand Lunar Eclipse and wow those cards are amazing. Kiri does have a great summoning animation though!

N'zoth and his Jewel for me. Should make a fun deck. Maybe even get the other N'zoth and see how many times I can rez Sneed's or something ha.
I got an N'zoth and his jewel as my epic. I think my game decided what my next deck is. Wild N'zoth hunter (2 gods and 2 jewels)!
Love this card. Corrupting it makes it a strong disruption. Ruin your opponent's C'Thun, the Shattered plan!
It's also a nice body to support a Archwitch Willow as well. Can't wait to run it.
