As the resident Zilliax hater, this card bears too much resemblance to that robot so I already am not a fan of this card and refuse to change my stance on it at all in the future.

I am not a fan of Z as well but for different reasons. This card is a much more balanced version.

    1) it is a class card. We will see much less of it

    2) it is conditional is just vanilla stats in any other Deck which is no good.

    3) it's expensive. Aggressive decks can kill you well before turn 8.

    4) can't buff other minions and go face like the magnetic ability allowed

Overall still a good card in pure decks. However may be too slow. demon hunter and token druid can be quite explosive early and refill the board often. May need stronger early control tools to make this card work. Not a bad card but certainly not as prolific.

Like the idea though I don't see it making a big splash in constructed. Still has potential in more limited formats to be a fine pick.

I will definitely play greedy and die with him in my hand as a 9/9 or something, ha.

Though I wonder how he comes back from Y'Shaarj.

Interesting and powerful effect. Should be a real fun card.

Honestly I was thinking about the Faire and what characters they'd use I skipped thinking of old god minions. Love him in game glad he got a card!

Looks a bit over costed and has an odd stat distribution. Still 4 hero powers at random targets is very tempting. Definitely going to try it out in my Bomb Hunter.

Love cards that make you think about deck construction. Should be a fun time trying to get it used well. If I get this may have to craft an Oblivitron and see what shenanigans I can get up to! :)

I was never competitive. Few FNM and that's about it. I left around Theros (which that plane sounded cool) but just didn't have a group. So why buy if I can't play. I read up on new sets and cards so I can play if I am ever in a spot to though.

Nicol Bolas' final plan, syphoning the sparks of other walkers, felt really cool. I didn't read the entire story but I loved his endgame.  Real fun idea. Wonder where they go or if they let him fade a bit.

With Innistrad too, the Eldrazi getting trapped in the moon because it wanted too! That's an amazing point to come back to. Can't wait to see that continue.

One of my favorite planes (Next Ravnica and Lorwyn). Always loved the MTG story but it varies plane by plane. The overarching one can be fun with NicolBolas trying to become a god (or even greater) or these mysterious Eldrazi that just showed up and started devouring worlds. Heck all the way back to the Phyrexians, I just love MTG villains! Sadly I stopped playing, it was so expensive and those I played with mostly moved away. Still I follow the story and have enjoyed it. Can't wait to see what's next.

He is added to your Deck, not hand. I believe that was specified on stream.

Love the art. Y'Shaarj is my favorite old god from WoW. Never get to see him in that world (yet), so the more zoomed out art this time is great.

Card wise, it does depend on corrupt mechanic. However I don't think it's as codependent as people say. Yes it'll be great if corrupt is good. But even if not a zero Mana elephant (that 4/4 rush*) would be great. Plus maybe a spell or two. Already a decent card with just that elephant. I'm certain he'll see a good amount of play.

*Fleethoof Pearltusk and it's and 8/8 rush when corrupt. A 10/10 with free 8/8 rush sounds like a great card to me never mind anything else. Almost sounds like a certain mushroom prime who I won't try to spell on my phone, ha.

I've been using a stealth rogue mostly to climb. However Regis Killbin posted a Making Mummies deck which caught my attention. I didn't have Keymaster Alabaster. A real fun deck to run and I needed an excuse to run Sir Finley of the Sands, which I just happened to open golden. Also Educated Elekk is hilarious and one of my favorite Ashes cards Replicat-o-tron makes for a weird threat. Deck doesn't always win but makes for some real interesting games.

I appreciate Starving Buzzard very much. I've always wanted to change that card to be somewhat useful again. Never did I think of the "if a friendly beast died" trigger. That's very unique and is flavorful.

I think Princess Huhuran isn't good enough. The card gets overshadowed by other effects. Honestly she is another card I wish they'd change. Even a simple "Deathrattle triggers TWICE" would at least give it a unique effect.

I like [Hearthstone Card (Wondering Monster) Not Found] but I don't think I'd want to see it in classic.

Monsterous Mark is a very cool concept. Hunter has those hit minion and face cards which make since. This is a psuedo Trample (mtg) kinda. I like it.

Storm Arrows, I just don't see what it sets up. Cool idea and all but 10 mana destroy and King Krush is out. Dunno how I feel about that. Also that with Vol'jin would be annoying.

Bestial Wrath, I don't disagree with this card going but Immune is underrated. Just saying.

Overall I liked it. Those are my highlights. Also I think considering newest set cards is dangerous. I get the effects are great or they'd fit a roll. They also have the least time to be used and explored by the community. I'd think blizzard would more likely just make newer cards but I understand swapping in cards for the same role is easier.

I love Pen Flinger and built a Quest Shaman with him early on. I did not see that Warlock deck coming. Made me laugh way to hard. Wish I had Rin I'd give it a go.

The Infinite Deck hunter is an unexpected result too. I might have to give that one a shot.

I understand the frustrations with Res Priest. Resurrection overall is a fun mechanic and very Priestly. However with the mana cheating that exists in he game results in high cost minions coming out very early. This isn't a bad thing overall with most of the tools we have. Resurrect, the card specifically, causes an issue here. Giving a cheap way to bring back that cheated out minion multiple times, turn after turn is the disheartening part. Killing one minion for 4 turns and still loosing to it (or at this point multiple incarnations) sucks.

The tools we are given vary and come with issues. Either too slow (The Amazing Reno), too random (Devolve) or too dangerous (Gravelsnout Knight) as summoning stuff for an aggressive opponent just means you die quicker.  I like all the tools and they can be used in fun ways.

As others have said there are still issues that should be fixed:

#1 is getting a graveyard into the game. Yes it is a lot of work both to develop and to teach players. However with all the Res spells in the game (not just priest) this would be a worthwhile investment for the game.

#2 Big minions getting resummoned at full stats/effects EARLY.  Resurrect being so cheap it needs to have limitations. Example, minions come back as 1/1 versions or come back silenced (which can be useful too) or it can only summon 3 cost or lower minions.

#3  Archmage Vargoth shouldn't cast spells he doesn't see. I like cards like this. It can be interesting and makes you play/build around his ability. However him casting spells he was not aware of (dead, in hand, deck) is too much. Especially when you get multiple going it becomes annoying to shut down. If it was some big set up to get him to cast a spell then fine. But just playing him, hoping he dies and casting 18 mana worth of stuff is overboard.

Overall I think Resurrection effects are great and work everywhere else at mid-late effects (Kangor's Endless Army, [Hearthstone Card (Booodreaver Gul'dan) Not Found]). The early effects and multiplying big minions in Priest need to be toned down as the tools aren't accurate enough to keep them in check.

Terrorguard Escapee has been great in warlock. Easy to deal with small minions he summons and the 3/7 body isn't anything to ignore. Been using him alot in Kenrethad and Galakrond Warlock decks.

TL, DR: Professor Slate is a good card that lacks support in Standard but can easily become great with a single decent AoE/Multi-hit spell.

Awesome, glad to see he felt good. I got Professor Slate as my freebie but wasn't sure how to use him. I too tried to make Vereesa Windrunner work back around Uldum. Enjoyed the deck but wasn't consistant. I'll see what I can conjure up in wild.

I also got Speaker Gidra, love this card.  Even small spells (2-3 mana) really feel good. In combination with the spell Gidra is almost guarenteed to kill two things AND live because of her high health. So the opponent is forced to deal with her on their turn or take a good hit. My deck isn't perfect by any means but Gidra has left her mark. Side note Diligent Notetaker is amazing.

Also played a bit of Rogue. Plagiarize makes for some clever plays even without the rest of the secret package. Got some real fun wins off of this card. I don't even own Secret Passage and stealth rogue still feels really good. Cutting Class is easily brought to 1-2 mana and can reload you after a strong turn.

Pen Flinger is my new best friend. What a silly card and I love it.

Oh just thought of this. Where is Chromie? The time traveling dragon. She wasn't in Decent of Dragons, she is found in Andorhal (next to scholomance) in classic WoW.

Since bronze dragons tend to fall into the paladin class in hearthstone, she would of been a fun choice. Even not in her Dragon form (i.e. Wrathion). Hope she gets a card someday.

I loved all the connections. Blizzard did a very good job of giving these characters a remake in this "what if" scenario.

I also agree that Turalyon is a bit of a question mark as to why he is there. Maybe it's something to do with the Solo content later and they needed a hero (though I suspect Lilian is in that role).  Personally I would of liked to see another Scarlet or Silver Hand character. Perhaps a certain Crusade leader later cloned by a dreadlord*.  But I also enjoy when they grab off the beaten path characters and toss them in. However finding a Holy character for this place was a tough call. Turalyon definitely deserves a card for sure and this fits his Holy warrior vibe very well.

Also the Fireheart = Chillheart thing. I feel sad I didn't make that connection. Makes so much sense.  The deathrattles that turn into Ghosts too fit the world well. Sneaky Delinquent or Smug Senior show the punishment for sneaking around the school is death.

Malicia was a boss in there too, though again no lore to really back her up. Seems she is also outside Scholomance in the current WoW world. Althought 10/10 Blizz for the puns this expansion. Soulciologist Malicia and Felosophy made me laugh way more than they should have.

*Saidan Dathrohan is Balnazzar in disguise in the Stratholme dungeon's Scarlet side.

Very nice card. Strong but slow board clear solo. Combined with most whirlwind effects it's so powerful for Warrior. Paladin it might be too slow to pop that deathrattle. A third Equality/ Libram of Justice is still good enough though.

    Love the art! So good.

     5-Star video

In Paladin this seems great I'll be using her for sure in Libram or [Hearthstone Card (The Last Kaleidosau) Not Found]r Quest decks.

Priest, Dragon style decks have a lot of Minion based removal. Could work well there. Keep your spells positive buffs while using your minions to control the board. Aeon Reaver Duskbreaker

Not being able to run most removal is definitely a downside though. Still there are enough ways to generate spells that maybe it's not as detrimental as it seems. Vulpera Scoundrel
