One quick question for anyone who has reached Platinum Diamond already: Does the Win Streak Bonus continue throughout all "leagues" or does it go away in Platinum Diamond similar to how it went away Rank 5-1?
Are we sure that MMR is used for matchmaking all the time? The blog post said MMR is used *while you have a star multiplier*:

When playing with a Star Bonus you’ll be matched by your matchmaking rating (MMR), meaning you’ll be matched even more precisely with players of your similar skill level when climbing!
So as I read that, you're matched my MMR while you have a bonus (i.e. while you're climbing back to last month's rank), but once you've used up your bonus, you're playing against people your own rank (and MMR isn't used). So--per this post's example--if a legendary player just sits at Bronze 10-6 month after month, they'll be sniping against beginners like they do now.
I'm sure the MMR stuff will help reduce unfair match making, but unfortunately Blizzard can't completely stop people from being assholes. Because if that's what they are, that's what they are and how they'll always continue to act.
I got in on the new ladder action a little early playing on EU. Id' been so long since I played on that account that I also got to do the revamped returning player experience and choose a free deck. It was a really good experience to be honest.
So freakin' ready for this change to ladder and rewards system.
Farewell, monthly golden epics, your dust contribution was never in vain ; RIP
Considering you can now earn up to 5 packs, 7 rares, and 1 epic each season if you reach legend, I think you'll more than make up the dust from a few golden rares if you can even get to Gold 5, which is a the halfway point to Legend.
Assuming you're on EU? I assumed it would likely be broken for a day or two at launch so I guess no surprise! Can't wait for 2 am my time when the ol' NA servers roll over!
I feel like Nethrandamus's upgrade effect is less like the Spellstones from Kobolds and more like a reverse of the effect seen on Arcane Giant and other cards that reduce in cost depending on X. In this case the number of friendly minions that died increases the cost of the two random cards generated by this minion's battlecry. And really the stats for this guy aren't that bad when compared to other big 9 drop dragons, but of course those usually come with a strong effect. Send enough 1/1 rushing Illidari to their deaths and this is DEFINITELY a card worth including in your deck.
Targeted Y'ssharj. I like it. Could make for interesting deck building, especially in Wild with Bloodreaver Gul'dan being a thing! Get those big demons out, baby!
Oh wait... Darkest Hour is already a thing. So maybe this is bad. lol
There is a fact that this is a Demon Hunter demon.
You can't summon this with Warlock unless it says "random demon" and all of the cards you said mentions minions from your deck.
Oh damn! Must still be getting used to the idea that big demons like this can exist outside of Warlock! But, it would be a sweet Warlock card. :
I saw a thread about this a few days ago, but honestly I had not seen a single difference in my own quests. The only thing I really want done at this point is make the 100 gold quests, pack quests, and 80 gold challenge quests appear more often!
Just a note: minions that go Dormant DO NOT retain buffs, enchantments or any of the sort. When the minion awakens, it is a base copy of the minion.
If that's true, she could also be a way to remove Silence from a minion too. Say you have a Malygos in play and praying it sticks, doesn't get removed but gets Silenced. Use Maiev on your silenced Maly and just wait for him to come back online to pop off
Feel like Hunter Beast Decks are going to definitely be less aggressive and more burst/combo style. All the handbuffs, Scarlet Webweaver... lots of potential. I mean... Imagine buffing Zixor Prime up a bunch and having a 0 mana Tundra Rhino in hand thanks to the spider I mentioned. Summon three BIG bois and Rhino gives them Charge. DONE!
Zixor says "Hello!" Some of the secrets this expansion are going to be nuts! I'm still not sure why Rogue got a Shaman flavored evolve secret. Bamboozled should have been something like "When a minion is attacked, summon a Dummy of equal stats as the new target."
Is that a sling that is targeted to my face ? but how exactly that shot buffs that beast ?
I really can't get some of the flavors that Team 5 chooses.
Yeah, flavor wise it is a little strange. But I guess since it's "scrap shot" the left over scrap metal from the sling shot is used to fashion armor and weaponry for the beast??? I'm really trying here..
At this point Handbuff Hunter must be the new archetype they're promoting right.
They had a few cards before that pushed for handbuffs in Hunter, but it was mostly a bad Gadgetzan archetype that didn't really get enough good cards and no support after. This time it looks like they are going all in on the archetype
I have yet to touch the Summoner Hunter deck in Wild after the unnerfings. However, I plan on trying it out after April 7 if I open some of these. Get big minions through Spiteful, load up one or two of these and a Call of the Wild for a Zul'jin turn later! Could be fun!
With the beast hand buffing effects the Prime is pretty nasty! What is the WitchWood dragon for Hunter that never really saw play and doubles all stats in hand? Emeriss? Could be fun in Wild after some big buffs. There is also still that spider in Standard that reduces the cost of a beast in your hand by 5 too!
Loving this new system.

May this brawl never return!

I heard about the new Hunter Demons we were getting this expansion. Although I thought they were a class, not a card... Which is confusing.
(in before comment correcting me, that was just a joke)
Good lord this handbuff hunter is going to cause some headaches, I can already see it!!!

It's like if you wanted to use Play Dead but pay a little more to also remove/damage something. I like it.

Could be really nice, could be better in Wild with cards like Charged Devilsaur.
