Nope, not working. Looks like it's been delayed because of the server issues yesterday. I think someone accidentally popped the champagne in the server room.
Unpopular opinion: Removing Amalgam was a huge mistake, because for all its faults it at least gave every tribe the ability to just fall back to buffing it up, whereas now it comes down to whether you can effectively snowball Murlocs or who gets Spawn of N'zoth triple + Rivendare first.
I actually agree with this. I didn't play when Amalgam was in it, but I can see the hole that is missing from it being removed. It's impossible to switch up your tribe, so you're truly just at the mercy of your rolls. Not to mention how completely useless Zoobot and Menagerie Magician feel. There is nothing with a dragon tag (except The Curator's Amalgam).
I'm excited to see what updates BG's gets this month. I think they hastily removed Nightmare Amalgam before they went on holiday, because of the community complaining about it. I think the next update will add it back in, or make some other changes to help fill the hole that it left. Maybe add new tribes too? Dragons?? Elementals?

I tried it when it first came out, and didn't really like it. I didn't play through the Nightmare Amalgam meta.
When the standard meta was nothing but Gala Shaman at the start of DoD, I got a quest to play 2 BG's and figured I'd give it a go. I've been playing mostly BG's ever since, and have just recently started venturing back out onto ladder.
BG's can get repetitive, and you figure out that it's pretty much just playing a slot machine. That being said, it's really fun when you get lucky and are able to build a ridiculous board.
My only other complaint is that sometimes the matches feel way too long. Especially when you're in the running for first place.
BG's aren't something you should worry about if you aren't interested in it. It's just like the solo content. If you are feeling like something new when you are tired of the ladder, BG's are just another option available for you now. I know I will be going back to BG's anytime I get tired of playing against the same decks over and over again on ladder.
TL;DR - play the game how you want. It's a game, you're meant to have fun. Not every single feature or game mode has to be for everyone.

I am writing this comment after winning 3 games in a row because ofIronbeak Owl. There are too many good targets for silence in this meta. I've been debating running 2, but think that might be overkill.
Is there a reason Sir Finely of the Sands isn't included?
I'd say put in Sir Finley of the Sands to replace Silver Sword. It's typically too slow and in the late game you have enough to outvalue most opponents already.
Fitting in Nozari can be fun too. Hunters are unable to make enough damage to push through a full heal on top of all the other healing you're doing, and they can't deal with your board, so your minions will be able to push plenty of damage.

That's a really cool animation. I think it's too soon for a meta report since it hasn't been a full week since the nerfs went live.
I honestly don't know what the meta is like anymore. A few days ago; I got the "play 2 Battlegrounds" quest, and I got hooked. I haven't even been keeping up on my daily's anymore.
-2 Bomb Toss (I found this to be mostly a 2-mana deal 2 damage since there aren't enough ways to "pop" the bomb)
-1 Spider Bomb (having a removal option that you don't have control over can lose you games, no targets to magnetize to)
-2 Hot Air Balloon (more aggressive 1-drops exist, this is nice to magnetize things to, but same problem as the Goblin Bombs from Bomb Toss, with only 2 magnetic minions in the list, this card was never exciting to play)
+2 Animal Companion (another beast for Kill Command, or face damage, or buff those hounds. This card has too many uses with the deck to not include)
+2 Blazing Battlemage (it's not flashy, but it's a 1-mana 2/2, helps get in face damage in the early game before Taunts show up)
+1 Ironbeak Owl (this guy has won me so many games. Both with Silencing a Taunt for lethal, or just being a beast to activate Kill Command. Not to mention ruining Rogue Deathrattles.)
I think the reason they don't change the evolve mana cost is to do with UI simplicity. Mousing over a minion that was summoned for a different mana cost, you would need to see both - the original cost and what it was summoned for. I think that goes against their paradigm of an uncluttered UI that has to present a minimum of important information.
Is there a way to do it that I'm missing?
Why not just have the mana cost Green when it was played at a reduced cost? Just like any stat change on a minion. It's simple and already a feature in the game that won't cause any confusion.

Corrupt Elementalist
Now costs 6 Mana (up from 5).
Does not address the actual issue with the card, and with Galakronds Invoke.
Sludge Slurper
Now has 1 Attack (down from 2).
Why? Yes this is a powerful 1 drop, but not a card that needed to be nerfed. Are they playing the same game as us? This reminds me of the Hex and Flametongue Totem nerf.
Faceless Corruptor
Now has 4 Attack (down from 5).
8/8 in stats instead of 10/8. The attack wasn't the problem. This just... wow... again makes me question if the devs are playing the same game as us.
Mogu Fleshshaper
Now costs 9 Mana (up from 7).
Eh? I mean... why do they keep skirting the issue of mana cheating with evolve effects and just address it already? The community has been loud and clear about how they feel about it, is there some magical explanation that we are missing here as to why they refuse to address the mana cheat with evolve issue?
These nerfs just feel very out of touch with the game. I'm also concerned that there were no preemptive nerfs. My gut tells me they got these nerfs wrong, and they will have another round of nerfs coming next year after Blizzard's holiday break. This is just what they could come up with before they ran out of time.
This looks fun! I haven't played Maly hunter since RoS. I will have to give your list a try!
I would suggest trying Tending Tauren, but without Force of Nature, you have very few activators for Anubisath Defender
No it does not.

That golden Faceless Corruptor felt sooooo goooood going through the mulcher!

Looks like a lot of fun! Great take on Quest and Highlander. I will be trying this out! Have my upvote.
Been having a lot of fun with this list.
This actually makes me want to craft The Caverns Below. It's a card I've never owned through it's multiple nerfs. Just might finally give it a go.

Happy belated Christmas! Now get back to work!

Now I can get this song stuck in my head every time I play against a Druid using the Dame Hazlebark skin.

Restore 2 health to all friendly characters
I think this would have fit the Priest class identity better and have enabled some priest tempo deck.
After many games and some experimentation, I dropped the mech package. This is the list I have landed on after many changes.

I added:
Anyone see any Shaman's lately? It's all been Hunters... (myself included)
