I have won multiple games from Misdirection going to the opponents face. This is honestly in my opinion, Hunters most underrated secret that should see more play.

Update: I've played quite a few games with this deck now, and can safely say it is a lot of fun, and ladder viable. I have yet to lose to Shaman with it. It's hilarious watching them have no way around all the face damage. I will be playing this deck at least until the nerfs.
Also, this deck has made me see the potential of Hot Air Balloon. If it's not removed fast, it stays around for a long time.

Instead of Buffing Priest Galakrond, try running Princess Talanji. She makes some amazing tempo swing turns summoning all those minions you've been collecting.

Holy Wrath is only good against Shaman. It's honestly not worth playing to try and counter the Shamans, because you'll just get beaten by everything else. I suggest either join the dark side (Shaman) until nerfs hit, or go play some random deck in Wild to pass the time.
i love it that the report is just outright calling out the meta bullshit cause of shaman.
Glad its getting nerfed. Ive never seen the meta game been so skewe . cause of this i just play casual mode for the quest gold stuff BUT i keep facing like 2 shamans out of 3. never in my years of playing HS have i faced the tier S deck so many times in casual. the deck is so far off balance that ppl play it without stop both on ranked and on casual to a rate ive never witnessed.
i believe the nerfs should occur on tuesday. thank fuck
What's bad is people are starting to take it to Wild now too. I thought I could escape it there, but I've been running into it there too. If it's viable in Wild out of the gates, to be able to compete with the broken shit Wild offers, you know it's a major problem.

Good use of the meta report. There's really no reason to look at any other classes right now, because everything is going to change when Shaman gets nerfed. Not only that, it seems like most people have given up (at least I know I did days ago) trying to refine other classes decks, because it just feels so pointless to try and improve a list that's just going to get obliterated by Shaman anyways.
You said it best: "This is likely the worst possible way to have kicked off Descent of Dragons"
After the great year we've had, it is extremely disheartening to have a deck like this make it past play testing.
At this point, I've stopped playing standard ladder, and am only playing in Wild just to get my daily's done. Less than a week into a new expansion, I should still be excitedly playing new decks, and trying to refine some home brews. Instead, I find myself barely even wanting to play.
The excitement of the new expansion was killed. Even though this nerf is the fastest ever, it still feels too slow.
I honestly don't know what they were thinking. I hope they give us further explanation as to why this was allowed to happen in the first place. I'm really curious what their thought process was that made them believe this wasn't going to be an issue. It honestly seems like they knew this was going to happen, but went with it anyways. They told us they were watching Shaman for nerfs going into DoD, they waited until the very end of the release season to show the new Shaman cards, and they are doing the fastest nerf ever. All that tells me they KNEW this was going to happen. If they knew, then why do it? I think the community deserves an explanation at this point.
Considering that they buff cards when they want to refresh the meta, and that we already have a (possible) meta-refresher coming in January in the form of the single player content (which, much like the old adventures, will award you with a total of 35 or so new cards), I wouldn't expect buffs before late February/March, if at all.
I'm betting we get a hero card for all the "good" classes in the adventure

I feel there hasn't been enough experimentation with the "good" classes. Maybe when every single match stop being against Shaman, we'll start to see some better decks show up for these guys.

We kind of already have confirmation of this since they told us they were watching Mogu Fleshshaper going into DoD. There eye has been on Shaman for a while. With how pissed everyone was about Shaman during the Tomb event, it's not surprising they were keeping a close watch and ready to react quickly.
I'm very interested to see how they are going to go about this. There are some deeper mechanic changes that really need to be addressed as well. They recently addressed one, with the Echo change that broke SN1P-SN4P Warlock, so maybe they'll surprise us with finally addressing the interaction of cost cheating and evolve effects?
I'm not keeping my hopes up... but a man can dream.

While I like how quickly they are reacting, at the same time, I have the unpopular opinion that they might be moving too quickly on this one.
But I'm probably wrong, and it will be interesting to see what decks can start to show up instead of every single match being Shaman. (seriously, I don't think I've played against another class in the past 2 days)

I have yet to lose the "mirror" match when I have the quest. It seems like the quest is better for the mirror matchup since you can get more value from your cards.

Good! Has been getting a little annoying.
Has anyone else noticed the weird text randomly appearing over the board? Like when you play a minion with Rush, you'll see "Rush" appear over the board for a split second. I'll try and get a screen shot.
Underwhelming nerfs that again don't address some of the major issues.
Mirror matches are starting to occur and are a little annoying. Basically comes down to whoever drew Toxic Reinforcements first.

Queen Alex needing a nerf? Lol,Why?

Congrats on Legend! This makes me actually want to venture back to standard ladder to try it out.

Why Hot Spring Guardian?
I'd replace them with some tech cards like Eater of Secrets or Golakka Crawler
Running both Novice Engineer and Coldlight Oracle seems a bit overkill as well.
Not running Mogu Fleshshaper with either Mutate or Evolve seems like a mistake currently. But maybe that will change with the nerfs next week.
I haven't tried to convert Galakrond to Wild yet. Guess I better do that before the nerfs come in!

Stay strong Mr. Unpopular opinion!

I like your take on Highlander Shaman. It's more focused on the Quest side.
I've been playing a list as well with a lot of success and fun. My deck is more Dragon centered than the typical Quest Shaman playstyle.
DoD - Dragon Highlander Shaman
Yeah, I've made the switch in game to Vessina already, just haven't updated the list on here yet.
Plus I've been busy playing/refining a Dragon/Highlander/Quest/Galakrond Shaman deck, which I am having a lot more fun playing than the normal list.
If you enjoy Highlander play style, I highly suggest you try it out.
