Reaching Legend in Ashes of Outland on a Budget - 9 Great Decks to Climb Hearthstone's Standard Ladder

Published 5 years, 6 months ago by

If you're playing Ashes of Outland on a budget, or Hearthstone in general, you know how difficult it can sometimes be to find great decks. Today is the day that budget players worldwide cheer though because we've got 9 solid decks you'll want to take onto the ladder.

All the decks in our post today are highlights from Old Guardian, a member of the Hearthstone community who has been creating and sharing high-quality decks for the past few years. All these decks were played in his climb to Legend this season and this is the second time Old Guardian has hit Legend during Ashes of Outland by only using budget decks. Now, before we get onto those decks, a quick word from Old Guardian and why you won't be seeing  Warrior, Paladin, and Shaman represented below.

Quote From Old Guardian

Only Warrior, Paladin, and Shaman seem difficult to build on a budget: Warrior because of its reliance on Risky Skipper and Paladin and Shaman because the classes are fairly weak at the moment. You can play Murlocs with them, but they are quite lackluster.

  • As an aside: I have no idea whether its worth the time/effort to do it, but I really liked that format from the https://outof.cards/legends-of-runeterra/1322-twitch-rivals-legends-of-runeterra-showdown-results-and-decklists article.  Each decklist was effectively nested within a button, so you could expand and contract and potentially see every deck on the same page as the article--unlike for example this page, where I need to click on a new link for each decklist, or say the decklist report which came out right after this, where every decklist is embedded but also always displayed.  It made the article a lot easier to navigate & digest, especially on my phone.

  • Well transcribed.  I like the idea of budget decks because not everyone will have the ability to get all the card necessary for a competitive deck.  To be fair, I have met my end numerous times from a budget deck... so mad respect.

  • Great Artcle.

I can only agree, OldGuardian's Youtube channel is extremely good and has helped me to improve a lot playing this game.
