A round of pre-expansion theorycrafting streams are happening once again!
- 16 content creators will be theorycrafting decks for the new set.
- The streams begin on Thursday, July 30 at 9 AM Pacific. (12 PM Eastern, 18:00 CEST)
We'll have some coverage up tomorrow when the streams begin. If you aren't a fan of this type of content, don't tune in!

I'll probably bounce around a bit between channels - some of my favorite "daytime" streamers are here: Kibler, Regis, BoarControl. I'll see what's up with Allie and Firebat, too. Hard to pick!
I do like this content because honestly, I am a casual player. I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to doing deck crafting. Usually, when I do, i get frustrated at it's performance. But really, I shouldn't because others, like this group, have dedicated a substantial amount of time and effort into creating these decks where as I just say, "hey, that card looks like it will do well. I should make a deck that utilizes it and no one can deal with it." Wretched Tiller is a perfect example. When I saw it, I couldn't wait to play it. Then when I did, man did it suck. So I really can appreciate the theorycrafting ahead of the release.
The theorycrafting streams are just fine. They are all speculating on possible deck combinations, but with no way to validate them. As others have mentioned earlier, it is god for those of us who aren't strong at deck building to learn the thought process on what cards might play well together. It is the early access streams that I don't watch and wish would go away.
I would love to see a "surprise" expansion, where we only knew it was coming and its name beforehand.
No knowing all the cards, no theorycrafting... just everyone trying to build their own decks for perhaps 24-48hours, until netdecking is back.
Realy looking forward to this - especialy for Kibler and Regis :)
Is it bad that I genuinely enjoy these streams? I actually really like watching people make new decks on expansion day because I'm a F2P that hasn't been playing for a long time, so I only ever get to craft about 3-4 decks per expansion. As a result, I can't actually make my own decks aside from theorycrafting it in a deckbuilder, but it's a different environment than the ladder.
As for the meta being "solved" within this stream alone, I do agree that people (like me) just want to netdeck, but I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. Sure they may find a powerful deck or two, but to say that the meta will be known before the expansion even launches is to say that these players are good enough to optimise decks to a competitive level within one stream, which I find highly unlikely. I just enjoy watching people playing new decks with new cards.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying these types of streams, don't let the negativity surrounding them get to you. I agree that people blow how much these streams "solve" the meta out of proportion, even if it does definitely speed up the process. Many players' favorite Hearthstone time is the period after an expansion where the meta isn't solved and jank reigns supreme, which is why many people are angry at the streams. However if people have issues with the streams then that is a problem they have with Blizzard, what any one player does is entirely up to them, and no online horde should have any bearing on how you enjoy the game :)
Agree with statement, that Regis is best. Good crafter and funny guy. The only choice for me aswell
Will be watching regis, influencing his deck building with my cheers... don't care about haters
Should have added a real theorycrafter like Dekkster. Blizzard just hands the reigns to people like Kripp and Rdu because they have the viewership but they have been almost exclusively streaming battlegrounds since its release...
Atleast my guy RegisKillbin is in there, only stream Ill be watching.
I mean there are a few Grandmasters on the list too...
Oh, i am going to unironically enjoy the shit out of Firebat/Zalae/Dog building DH with 1-2 new cards and crushing the shit out of everyone else.
It is funny to watch how actually Kripp right now in Theorycrafting before event does exactly that tho...
That is not what they gonna do, especially not dog... Zalae will use that to test out bunch of new cards too, why would he waste opportunity to just test out 1-2 cards
I mean, you are kinda right, but Zalae is currently playing his SPD Shaman for almost 2 hours already and refuses to try anything else, sooooo XD
Definitely going to have Regis on as my main. Will be hopping around collecting decks from all the streamers though to help give people something to play on day 1.
As much as I know people don't like that, they do well and bring us nice traffic for launch!
I'll watch, but I won't enjoy it!
I’ll enjoy it, but I won’t watch! Wait...
How the turntables...
No hate but is it just me, or is Zalae giving off serial killer vibes to anyone else in that pic lol
