Blizzard is deploying a hotfix to the servers today to change the way the Discover keyword works.
- Discover cards can no longer Discover themselves.
- Cards that ‘generate a random card’ can no longer generate themselves.

Dev comment: Overall, this change is aimed at helping games feel a bit more varied. While generating the same card can be an exciting individual moment, these types of experiences tend to have diminishing returns after a while. These adjustments should make for healthier games against classes with a ton of resource generation.
The hotfix also includes the following:
- Mr. Bigglesworth is now available in Battlegrounds to all players.
- Fixed a bug where the selected minion summoned by Jandice Barov would not have the death upon damage enchantment when summoned again with Khadgar.
- Fixed a bug where Headmaster Kel’Thuzad would not resurrect minions that were destroyed from being returned to a full hand.
These changes will take place on the server side, so you won’t have to download anything if you’ve already updated to 18.0.

I feel like this just makes sense and I'm a little surprised they didn't do this a long time ago.
No more Renew > Renew > Renew > Renew > ...
Does this work with Shadow Visions too
Cards will still be able to Discover other copies of a card in your deck, so Shadow Visions or Stitched Tracker will still be able to discover themselves.
I had a Priest down to 1 health, and they played Renew into Renew into Renew into Renew into Renew, and suddenly they were back at 16 health off of one original card in their hand. Glad to see that won’t happen anymore!
Biggest loser appears to be the Mage, who can no longer rely on Primordial Glyph and Magic Trick loops for Open the Waygate or Mana Cyclone shenanigans. Sounds good to me; I gladly sacrifice the few other niche scenarios where this pops up if that particular deck gets hit again.
They already have Wandmaker for major compensation.
She makes for less shenanigans than glyph but more reliability with Book of Specters.
I doubt QMage will even notice.
This change is more about feelings than real impact in the meta. Even moreso in Wild, where card pool is contnuously increased and chains increasingly unlikely. IMO.
This was really good with Twisted Knowledge, i understand why it was nerfed, but i think it's been so long since it was overpowered that it doesn't even matter anymore, there's plenty of ways to get infinite value now that random infinite value doesn't matter. Especially in wild. This change could be good only in arena, but it doesn't even matter in constructed in fact it's a nerf for no reason in my opinion.
Reason is frustration of looking at your opponent playing 5 Nature Studies in a row... Not that it is strong, just really frustrating and makes turns longer for no reason.
Or a low health priest discovering renew a milion times
It's when they do that with an Exotic Mountseller out and get 3 Muklas that it becomes really frustrating
