It looks like the recently revealed set of explorer legendary cards won't be the only highlander-style cards this expansion will see!
Tim Clark of PC Gamer, who wrote an article about Dinotamer Brann, received clarification from Blizzard that there is one other card that synergizes with no duplicates. Could another class be getting a highlander tool? Are we going to get a neutral support card for the mechanic? Only time will tell!
Quote From Tim Clark Further clarification on this. Am now told there is in fact one other card which synergises with no duplicates which hasn’t been revealed yet. Let the speculation begin!
Tim also posted on the CompetitiveHS reddit.
Quote From /u/Arse2Mouse Hey, Tim from PC Gamer here. Was encouraged to post this as a separate thread to help clear up any additional confusion when evaluating the power of the new Brann, Reno, Elise and Sin Finley cards. In my interview with Blizzard about Brann, I asked if there were any supporting cards and at the time (two weeks ago) was told "It's only the four explorers", which I mentioned on the card reveal thread here today.
However Blizzard got in touch to clarify that there is one more card which works based on the no-duplicates mechanic. I have no further info about that card's class (and of course it may well be neutral), rarity or when it'll be spoiled. Hope that's of interest!
What kind of card would you like to see that supports highlander / singleton / no duplicates?

Old Reno made it worth while on its own without any support at all when he was released. I think it is a bit too soon to say that this one won't fix the issue with highlander decks.
Since Highlanders decks typically tend to be Control archetypes, I expect the 5th card to be a neutral tool that helps to stabilize the game.
Something on the line of Kazakus, as someone above me mentioned, but not necessarily with the same role. I mean, Kazakus was pretty cool and allowed a lot of singleton decks to be viable, but maybe this time we will get something less "broken"/meta defining.
We'll see
I'm inclined towards a neutral legendary too, for thematic and technical reasons. The five villain classes already had their time in the spotlight last time. The new highlander class cards, with the possible exception of Sir Finley of the Sands, do not do enough by themselves to justify the deck restriction in standard, so I'm hoping for something between Kazakus and Reno Jackson in impact.
Side note: I look forward to seeing what a wild Reno² Mage would look like with 5(?) highlander cards.
Now you can tempo Reno twice as much!
Highlander will be useless if there are not more tools to disrupt/prevent bomb warriors putting multiple bombs in your deck.
Remove all duplicates from your deck. Shuffle this card back into your deck.
No It wont shuffle, it will just remove all duplicates from BOTH players decks once. That way shuffle rogues will get some pain too
Or: Shuffle all duplicates in your opponent`s deck.
So you can give a truckload of bombs back to sender.
I like the idea!...that sure would be powerful but given the relative power level of other cards so far I don't think this will happen.
Yes, it will be the "bomb-cleaner" anti-dupes card.
For 1 mana cost, cripple your deck make your deck a highlander deck.
Or same+reshuffle, for 2 mana cost.
It can be an interesting meta, with decks starting highlander then having to clean up for their effects, and others starting normal then turning to highlander.
We'll see how this turns out.
Quite daring to say one counter would eliminate a deck from the meta, especially when we're not sure how good Bomb Warrior will be after the expansion. Control Warrior also used to be a counter to Face Hunter (one of the most polarized match-ups that comes to mind), but Face Hunter didn't die until the Leper Gnome nerf, and as a more contemporary example, Big Priest is alive despite Treachery Warlock's existence.
I'm betting it would be a Kazakus-ish legendary that will truly enable highlander decks in standard
I would like to see a Shaman highlander card. Just because i am a big shaman fan! (My most played cass)
But i would recommend Blizzard to make a neutral highlander card. All classes can use it and maybe it will make the other ones from Mage, Hunter, Druid and Paladin even better.
I don't see any reason (in standard) to play the new Reno or even the new Elise. Brann und Sir Finley maybe worth it to build arround them in standard.
Give us some spicy highlander neutral shit, like Reno Jackson was in LoE!
My bet is either a Neutral Harrison Jones or a Warlock card, since Rafaam is also a returning character from LoE, plus the fact that Expired Merchant seems good for Highlander.
I’d imagine it’d definitely be neutral, since it’s pretty much the good guys’ mechanic this time (kind of like how only the defenders of Dalaran got Twinspell, whereas the bad guys got lackeys). It’d make sense since there was just the one lackey generator for neutra
Ummmm... Harrison Jones is already a Neutral card? 🤔
On the other hand I'd quite like to see some Neutral Support for the Highlander Playstyle. Reno Mage and Reno Warlock are really the only two decks that work efficiently, and Reno Mage isn't up to much at the moment.
I meant that if we got a Neutral Highlander card, it'd make sense to be Harrison, since he's also an explorer.
