I'm a bit sad that they're going back to Kibler again (this is what, his 4th time in the hot seat?) -- I would've liked having Cora back. We haven't seen her since the Heist Inn-vitational, and I thought she did a good job during the Rise of Shadows reveal stream, especially recovering from the snafus that were beyond her control.
at least Chris is HOT !
Can't disagree with that.
I hope they give at least some information about the solo content in this stream, but I'm not holding my breath.
I’d be fine if Chris forgets to show up for this.
I'll be honest, I'd be fine if none of them showed up.
You can see it in Peter's eyes that he gets shitty in the deepest confines of his soul when he hears anyone talk about a card in any other way than what it was designed for. Like "No! No! That's not how you're supposed to do it. You're wrecking it! Mummy!"
Chris just laughs at anything that isn't even remotely funny, then tries his absolute hardest to push on with the show... with no success.
And worst of all, Brian. With an ego so big that every Blizzard employee he streams with cringes at the sound of his oppressive voice, while simultaneously suppressing the feelings of rage they have just from sitting next to him. I'm not even sure if he has the ability to let someone else speak without either interrupting them or completely shutting them down.
Put Dave Kosak on. He'll single handedly do a better job of portraying 3 different personalities than 3 actual different personalities.
I'll never understand why people have such strong opinions and are so toxic about who's on a hearthstone reveal stream.
I don’t mind Peter or Brian, but Chris has kind of come off as someone who doesn’t really know the game at all. Just my opinion, but it’s the vibe I got from him last time.
I’d honestly like it to just be Iksar and Brian. Kosak could work too, but on a recent OmniStone episode, Iksar was a guest and actually answered questions beyond the typical canned responses. Which was refreshing!
Lastly, I miss a big personality like Brode for these reveals.
I am pretty sure that vibe comes from Chris being much newer to the team and game in general. I am fine with him.
Chris mentioned on Reddit that he's there to act as the... moderator, I guess. He's to make sure they show all the cards they were meant to show, give out all the correct information on pre-orders or free stuff, things like that.
That leaves Brian and Peter free to focus on the gameplay and discussing the cards as they come up, without either of them having to keep track of running everything smoothly as well.
They definitely didn't hit that balance right the first time they did a three-person stream, but I thought the second one was a lot better, so they're iterating on it and hopefully they've got it just right this time.
Hopefully!
I dont want to sound toxic at all, but the people in the reveal.. i would like to see Iskar for blizz and Firebat/Zalae for omni instead of these guys. Peter, please dont do the Brode laugh impressions.
Kibler is honestly far better for a reveal stream. He's a much better 'personality' for this than Firebat or Zalae, in that he'll be able to act excited and genuine about the cards that come up. From what I've seen of Firebat and Zalae, they've usually got some great card analysis and interesting thoughts, but they're not super great at immediate thoughts and acting excited about boring cards.
Wheres dean ayala?
OT: do we know how much the adventure will cost this time? If not, will we know it before SoU release?
I may have lost this piece of information. Thanks in advance
Nothing has been made official about the adventure yet. Expect the same pricing as Dalaran Heist imo.
only thing they said is they are going to release it around a month later iirc
1 month after is better than 2 months after!
I hope they'll finally show more priest cards
probably saving priest card for the final stream?
