I'm seeing lots of support for tier 2 decks, I hope it's enough to replace the Warrior-Mage-Rogue fiesta.
And draw 5 sure sound like enough, or maybe too much (Blizz, not again...).
Druid gets some love... Draw 5 and Arcane Tyrant replacements
Heal Druid is now an actual thing instead of a Fringe/Nearly Good deck? That sounds just fine. Maybe with these two cards I can take my Golden Lucentbark out for a spin and actually mean it.
HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOOD
I like the biblical feel of certain cards this expansion, like the Plagues or this new card Overflow. I'm an atheist, btw 😂
With its defensive statline and taunt, Anubisath Defender seems like a way better Arcane Tyrant. That's fine since it's a class card, and given how often we saw Arcane Tyrant in Druid, I'd expect to see a lot of Anubisath Defender.
The typical baseline for drawing 4 cards in 7 mana (i.e. Sprint), so the fact that Overflow draws one more card for the same mana is already ridiculous. Throw in the healing and synergy with Anubisath Defender and you've got a ridiculously powerful card.
Basiclly first card is for taunt druid and second is defence cards for token druid but i dont think both will see that much play.
Am I the only one that thinks the art fits better for shaman and warlock?
Thought Anubisath Defender does something with Fel energy from the reveal-picture, something warlockish.
Little bit disappointed. Nevertheless cool art.
Turn 6 Hidden Oasis, get the 6/6 with taunt, play 3/5 with taunt. Nice value!
Tamed UI and better Arcane Tyrant, now lets get some ramp for druid!
But remember, if this gets out of control, it's all fault of the basic/classic set.
😂😂😂 Yes! Wild Growth on 3 is still too powerful need nerf to 5 and Nourish to 8. 😂😂😂
Too op, then you activate Anubisath Defender with Wild Growth.
Recycled Arcane Tyrant + nerfed UI.
Now all we need is some actually useful ramp and there might be a chance that Druid gets to do something other than Tokens for a while
Also, Ancient of Lore is on suicide watch. unnerf that poor bastard already
Druid looking super playable right now. You can have a big spell package with these cards, nourish, the new choose one spell, some sunreaver warmages, and maybe a starfall. A decent ramp card and something to kill big minons with and druid can be competitively viable outside of token.
Aggro won't have an easy time killing you and control will struggle with a lucentbark endgame.
Plague of Death wants to know your location
You could make tech inclusions like baleful banker and some other stuff to kind of play around plague of death / murlocs. Just depends if priest is even viable (big if) and if they have the board presence / win condition to stop you from doing something as slow as multiple lucentbark boards.
Well not just boardclears, but priest has a lot copying effects in Seance and Shadowy Figure, as well as minion stealing effects in Mind Control and Cabal Shadow Priest Lazul's Scheme combo that essentially steal your Lucentbark gameplan. Additionally, there are priest cards that copy cards in your opponent's deck turning your Lucentbark combos against you with Faceless Manipulator and Gloop Sprayer. I firmly believe that a well-built control priest would be able to defeat whatever new Lucentbark deck comes out, and I don't think it's too far to say that a control priest deck will pop up, considering the only stopping it is that warrior currently has a better endgame than priest. From what few cards we've seen from SoU for priest, the new tools priest will get only aid it in the control gameplan (we haven't even seen the quest yet which could be a game changer). This is all from experience I have had playing control priest in the RoS meta against the few Lucentbark decks I have run into, but nonetheless have always ended the same.
In all honesty, the Plague of Death comment was just a joke that apparently wasn't taken well.
yeah, the described deck would certainly counter lucentbark druid but I don't think a deck like that is good in general. Would love to be wrong as I like control priest and having more than one control class would be very refreshing.
No harm at all :) i was just bouncing ideas in my head about how a lucentbark deck would/could deal with the plague cards that can deal with its board.
