The Darkmoon Faire Patch 19.2 is now live which contains the announced standard card nerfs, battlegrounds changes, progression updates, and more.
As a part of this patch, and for the poor performance of the Rewards Track, Blizzard has apologized to the community with a thank you of 500 Gold and 5 Darkmoon Faire packs.
Once your client is updated, you can login to redeem your goodies. Mobile players, the update may take some additional time to come your way, as is usual for game updates, so don't worry, you've got time to get your free rewards.

I was really close to lvl 38 and now I'm on Lvl 39 by a little. So it seems it was little more than a lvl of xp
The reduction in experience took place at the end portion of the track, so if you weren't deep into it yet, you won't have seen much of a change if any at all.
Flux, will be there an article about adjusted experience needed for all levels of rewards track? I'm eager to run the numbers once again :)
Can you datamine the new rewards track, and report the changes?
Yes, this is right. I was at level 44 and now I am almost done with level 49. The XP requirements for the higher levels (up to level 50) have been dropped dramatically. But people below those levels may not see any change at this time. But their progress through the higher levels will be faster than mine was.
Well, something is wrong IMHO or I completely misunderstood how it works. I was level 34 and fairly well in. After logging in I am now level 35 with a little bit of XP. So yes, something happened...
But according to the infamous table at https://outof.cards/hearthstone/2200-the-rewards-track-how-long-to-get-to-level-50-644000-experience-required-to-get-to-level-150 I must have earned 88K XP so far. I copied and pasted the table to a sheet and made an extra column with 0.8 * cumulative XP - and then 88K should take me well into lvl 38. It looks like the 20% reduction was only applied to my current level, but no recalculation from previously earned XP, which I thought would happen.... sad panda :(
EDIT: it looks like people at higher levels get much bigger level increases. So that suggests that the 20% reduction is not 20% for each level, but less (or even 0) for lower levels and much more for higher levels... which would actually make sense as at high levels the feeling of progressing slows to a crawl. But it wasn't, and actually still isn't, quite clear how exactly the XP reductions are distributed across levels.
Yeah, disregard my comment above. I'm still on level 35, but I'm much closer to completing it. I thought I'd be promoted a few levels, but I guess it's very heavily weighted to the end.
I was 43 and half and now I am 47 and half
I suppose android users will have to wait until later as usual?
Patches always come out later on the phones. This is because of how the app stores process updates for devices.
Oh ok. I didn't think it was going to be an update to download from the store for some reason.

I believe they clarified that this will be given to players who've passed the level in a future update, rather than immediately with the patch.
Yeah, I didn't see mine either. My rewards track showed that I had claimed them already.
If a person was to wait to open these packs until after the mini-expansion comes along, would the packs contain the newly released cards?
Yes
Are you going to use "Blizzard's Apology" as the patch name, when searching the site for decks and whatnot? Because you should! 🤣
Darkmoon Nerfs, but honestly, I wish we did this.
Is it too late to change the name?
No Garrosh?
