Throw this into Yogg and Load Hunter, and muah. Really good card, unfortunately it is an epi
This is just shocking, Tarantulas aren't even poisonous! I'll just have to make some random excuse like "they're poisonous in HS, I guess".
Aside from that, its an ok midrange minion, but lets see if hunter decides to go midrange instead of what he's well known for...
What a BM in this video, he should just hit the HP button and win and not took away the opponent time with killing creatures!
This should be fine for a Guardian Animals deck. The tradeable keyword helps a lot because you can use it to draw a better card in the early game and shuffle this thing back into the deck to be summoned by Guardian Animals. But the nerf to GA really hurt the card for Hunter. It's really difficult to make anything this slow work in the class. Even a big mana cheater like Beastmaster Leoroxx struggles to have any impact within the class.
Big Guardian Animals support for Hunter: it only took an entire year, but it's finally here.
The Tradeable keyword allows you to reshuffle I[Hearthstone Card (mported Tarantula) Not Found] in case you drew it before turn 8, which is huge. It doesn't really matter that it doesn't have Rush, since Guardian Animals itself will provide it.
I really like Team 5's effort to push Hunter away from the usual Face gameplan.
Deathrattle Hunter has so many 5-drops... Not where the problem lies. It needs a 2 or 4 drop.
I must say I'm interested. It might be good in the right deck, but what's even more important, my hopes for a Deathrattle focused Questline are rising.
On paper it really looks worse than Teacher's Pet which not only comes with a taunt but also a extra random beast, which is nearly always more aggressive than a couple of spiders, poisonous or not.
The fact is that your opponent will always be killing this thing and removing the spiders to deny you the removal option kinda makes this a soft taunt but not really. Any minion past the first 3 turns must need to be either very aggressive or defensive because hunters cant really afford to play what amounts to skipping turns too often.
I really like stuff like these, but Im afraid its kinda a bit too slow for hunter, even for slower hunters. Slight synergy with Trueaim Crescent to hard remove three minions from your opponent's board. But then what? The very point of hunter's play style, slow or no, is to stick stuff on board or kill outright. And this one does none of those.
Oh but it is a tradeable card. That's got to count for something. Still, I really wished this one had rush at very least, even with a smaller body.
What I love about the tradable mechanic is that it makes cards that were highly unlikely to see play before actually playable.
Alright, so I like that they're finally printing actual Guardian Animals support for Hunter, but this just isn't good enough. Basically you have to give this rush for it to make sense and even then you to run it into something that kills it and then have targets left to kill.
There's also not really any Deathrattle support around at the moment so I don't know whatt we would even do with it. I guess we'll have to wait for the Hunter Quest.
The best I can say for it is that it's really hard to efficiently remove without losing a lot of tempo, but that's about it.
Guess you could use Maxima Blastenheimer (Don't worry if you forgot she exists) Not great though. Also Jewel of N'Zoth is still a thing. Still all very lackluster with this spider though
Flux, you made me curios why the site is nsfw! I don't know how long I can resist!
For the card: it's somewhat expensive/slow forthe effect. Doesn't get saved by Tradeable.
Your boss would definitely be asking questions about why there are so many anime girls on your screen in... less than protective gear. Not much of it on the page itself, but if you go to the homepage, rip job.
Without any reasonable support for Imported Tarantula, Teacher's Pet usually seems more versatile by just having Taunt.
The Pet doesn't have Tradable. We'll have to see if that's more valuable than Taunt.
Where do you want to play this card? Mid-range and Control rather than Aggro, propably. Now, when do you exactly want to PLAY it over TRADING it? When there are big minions on the board? Your opponent has initiative in trading the board as well as going face. When the board is empty? Maybe, but beware of removals, Rush Warrior, Silence and other cheap stuff to take down the Spiders.
Teacher's Pet is winning this in both situations as it has Taunt so you NEED to deal with it which usually FORCES you to trigger its Deathrattle.
Now that I think about it, if Hunter gets any Deathrattle or Rush support (so you can summon your Spiders on your turn) Tanatula would be a better card in the archetype. But without it, I like Teacher's Pet more.
Taunt is more valuable.
I don't know how good this will be in hunter but this is good to get off of Call of the Grave and Tiny Toys
You can't Discover cards from other classes, unless the text specifies it (Dragon's Hoard, for example) so Call of the Grave won't ever find it.
Love the flavor.
"How much are you willing to trade for the giant tarantula and its two Poisonous kids?"
"How about 1 mana gem?"
"Deal!"
