Absolutely broken. With how much value Shaman can generate, I am concerned we’ll get a Priest 2.0 that can actually kill you
That's a lot of Overload.. that's all i'm saying.
and this is why overstock was printed
Maaybe this could make for an OTK deck with Brukan, doublecasting your spelldamaged Lightning Bolts and stuff to your opponent's face. However, given the fact Shaman has had access to this sort of playstyle for a long time in the form of Malygos + Ancestral Call and it was always horrible, don't think adding all these extra steps is gonna work out. Maybe there might be some sort of value Shaman available with overload shenanigans, like the Snowfury Spellstone deck of old. I mean, doublecasting your spells when you're Hagatha could be pretty damn neat.
I mean...it's a win condition, but unless we get some serious draw support this is never going to work, especially since the second quest reward is infinitely weaker than the first
It does enable Bru'kan pretty hard though. 12 damage from a single Lightning Bolt sounds pretty good.
Bru'kan + Bru'kan + Lightning Bloom + Lightning Bolt + Lightning bolt + Whatever other spell you happen to have
You don't need to play both Bru'kans on the same turn. The Lightning Bloom is an unnecessary extra step.
You're right so just nature spell damage Brukan the follwing turn without the lightning bloom.
Feasible to complete and with a very powerful reward: a TRUE Legendary Questline
Now compare this preciousness with the bullshit of the Mage Questline...
I think Shaman still needs more draw for this to work better.
After the updates, is Guidance considered as Overload card?
Wonder what is the interaction of this card with Perpetual Flame? Can this one card literally finish the entire quest?
The reward is very strong, game winning potential. The conditions are fair, not really hard to accomplish. But much like warlock's quest, this one suffers a bit from the fact that you're basically using the spells you need to win the game, to complete the quest. So even after everything's said and done, what spells do you have left to actually finish the game with?
Perhaps there more down the line that will help with this one. But for now, the only reward I'm looking at that's actually worthwhile is the first one, which unlocks your mana crystals.
Not going to lie. That Ysharaaj combo with Bolner Hammerbeak looks better than this one.
You have to play three cards with Overload, not just Overload three times. Perpetual Flame is just one tick.
What Y'shaarj combo?
As mentioned by YourPrivateNightmare, you basically play bolner, followed with lightning bloom into yshaarj. You only need to have played and corrupt one medic to do this, and then its infinite damage as much as the timer allows.
You play Boner, you Bloom Y'shaarj and then play the 0 cost corrupted Healer to infinitely recycle Y'shaarj and get Dunk tanks and healers to deal between 40-60 damage
Agreed,
Also doing nothing on turn 1, and losing a card from your starting hand really hurts aggressive decks.
Note I'm almost always wrong regarding my comments on new cards.
The card says "Play 3 cards with Overload" and not "Overload your Mana Crystals three times", so my fair guess is that no matter how many minions Perpetual Flame will kill - Command the Elements will progress only by one.
You only play 1 Flame. Any subsequent one is 'played' by the flame that came before it. So you only get 1 tick.
But all subsequent flames are recast, you only played 1 overload card.
