The perfect topdeck after turn 4 Vanndar. A bit of magical Christmas Land but still. We'll see if it's good enough. Deck of chaos didn't see much play. But this works good enough wo Vanndar. We'll have to see if Vanndar decks are good enough. Then this will be strong.
Lots of stats, Rush and a secondary body with Taunt. Seems really strong, but then you look at the cost and remember that in Standard we have so many good 8 drops that see no play whatsoever (Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece) or just an ounce (Varian, King of Stormwind).
Unless Paladin gets some way to reduce its cost or cheat it out (Big Paladin back maybe), this card is probably a 2/5 stars, and I'm being generous.
Big paladin? because outside of that, I can't see any current paladin build running this. Librams dont need it, neither does handbuff, so a theoretical midrange deck with Vanndar? I think paladin decks can do without this honestly.
That's insane... We are talking about a 8/8 minion that can attack (and almost delete any minion) and leave a body of 5/5 with Taunt for just 8 mana. And of course we are not talking about having the option of reducing its cost thanks to the new ally legendary.
We are already in a standard (and wild!) meta where Warlock cheats out giants and wins with battleground announcer. This is on par with everything else so far, and may not even see play because that is all it is.
When this is OP, it would mean that the game lasts until turn 8. I'm fine with that. And it supports a more midrange, control archetype as well. Comparable to Troublemaker i guess. I little stronger for board control but it loses the potential to deal face damage.
But probably a ban in arena after a couple weeks...

8 mana lmao
This is literally so overpowered for Arena like wth. If games last more than 5 turns it could even see play in standard, that’s how insane it is
Yeah, I immediately thought of Arena...
[Hearthstone Card (Vandar Stormpike) Not Found] makes this a 5 mana 8/8 with rush that leaves at least one 5/5 taunt. That's quite good, actually.
Where ist the 2 p.m. CET reveal (half an hour ago, "by playhearthstone")?

This card will win Arena games on the spot lol. 9/9 rush for 9 did in the past relatively often, this is miles better.
They r really ramping up power level of cards once more. I guess thanks to the taunt, it might see constructed play, if you can live that long.

This tickles my Midrange-loving heart. Let's hope it's a card you actually get to play and not something you just cheese out on turn 6.
Then again, Commencement is also a Paladin card, so who knows what they're cooking up.
Deus Vult! Deus Vult! Deus Vult!
That's a lot of stats assuming there's a target.
But its a 8 mana card and must therefore be compared to something like Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece or Varian, King of Stormwind of which this card suddenly doesn't quite feel as good as it looks.

Feels a little bit OP for me.
What i see i a lot of OP cards for now. It could have been a 3/3 taunt and the card would have been good too.
They keep printing overpowered cards... :(
