Update: Blizzard has clarified that Twitch drops are going to last 36 hours.
Twitch drops return to celebrate Fractured in Alterac Valley theorycrafting streams this Thursday!
Details are light at the moment but we can assume from the image posted on Twitter, we should be able to acquire 2 Fractured in Alterac Valley packs from this promotion. Unfortunately, we don't know how many hours will need to be watched because Blizzard omitted that detail from their tweet, but again we can assume that from the United in Stormwind theorycraft streams it will require 2 hours for your first pack and another 2 hours (total of 4) for the second pack. Blizzard has now confirmed that you need to watch for 2 hours for your first pack and then another 2 for your second pack - as we previously guessed based on previous data.
So, stay tuned to the Hearthstone category on Twitch tomorrow and you can get some packs to open next week when Fractured in Alterac Valley launches on December 7.
How to Earn 2 Free Alterac Valley Packs
- Login to Twitch with your Twitch Account.
- Make sure your Twitch Account is connected to your Battle.net Account.
- Watch any Hearthstone stream to earn your packs. Need a streamer? Go say hi to RegisKillbin and tell him Out of Cards sent you.

Pre-Release Weekend
Scout the battlefield during Pre-Release Weekend from December 3-6. Are the drops active? I watched Thijs and Kripp one Twitch but there is nothing like "Drops activated" or so written. I am confused. :(

Twitch does show whether you're progressing towards the drops. It should appear when you click your own profile.
Just make sure you claim the first drop because the second doesn't progress until the first is claimed (or at least that's how it works, I think).

I hope it wont require total 4 hours for total of 4 hour stream event. the drops always activate a few minutes later and it would be very hard to get the drops within exact 4 hours
The event is six hours.
Will it be possible to get 4 packs in sum from Youtube AND Twitch?
If they limit it perfectly per HS account, I would think: "No." (though I hope it will work)
However, my side question is: "Can we obtain both packs by 'watching' the streams on both Twitch and YouTube simultaneously in just 2 hours time?" (this would be very useful information since the event window is just 6 hours in total and I will experiment)

Tough to say. My guess is yes but we won't definitively know until we're 2 hours into the event.
We don't even know what the exact window for drops is. Normally the drops window is larger than the theorycrafting event itself lol. Blizzard has some A+ communications here. Oh sorry, I'm not allowed to say that because that's too "aggro".

I work during those hours and not a job where I can’t watch Twitch/YT at work. So yeah… unless it’s a wider window like before or just “watch a minute, get 2 packs” I might miss these two.
