Horn of Wrathion might just make Kazakusan Priest viable, since it has 4 tutors in its deck if you also count Insight. That means that, if you run no other minions, 1 in 6 cards in the deck are the big dragon himself, which is insanely consistent.
Just what I was thinking!
but if the deck is any good, it will get nerfed to the ground, because people hate losing to random generated bullshit.
To be fair, Insight rotates in like 2 months.
Based on the number of rage quits when I hit the evolve combo in Shaman, I concur.
I guess these are the rest of the cycle of cards along with Spawn of Deathwing, all calling back to the black dragons' previous cards (albeit very loosely in Wrathion's case).
If Wrathion is around then the Year of the Gryphon timeline is even more twisted compared to WoW than I thought. I guess the events leading to Wrathion hatching are sufficiently separated from the main story that it doesn't cause any paradoxes, so sure, let's run with it. I'm curious to see whether he helps the mercs in the story, and thus takes the 4th legendary spot. I can't think of any other candidates, so if they're going to imply he's present they might as well use him.
There's a graphic showing the legendaries;
So we have one dragon left because the other is 100% going to be onyxia. I dont think its wrathion though, and its a rogue card too.
It looks like a mage card to me, and it also makes the most sense
Im looking at the color of the banner on the bottom of the card. That's where it indicates its class, and its certainly not a mage card. We can see kazakusan and onyxia being neutrals and mida being a priest card. The last looks like its a rogue card.
Well, bottom color is blueish, so definately not rogue, rogue is far darker. It actually looks like 100% mage from the color, check the golden banner from this https://outof.cards/hearthstone/cards/11379-flamestrike for example.
Well mage is the only class missing a card, so it's a safe bet that it's mage. I have no idea who the dragon is though. It looks like one of the Infinite Dragonflight, who - as corrupted Bronzes - can time travel so I guess they can be anywhere they want to be.
Oh, and thanks for showing me the image :)
At a second look, both you and frosthearth might be right that its a mage card. Since mage got that card that summons dragons I suppose its only logical to give them one they would want to discover out.
Of course, it could turn out to be that very elusive deathrattle payoff for rogue...but at this point Ive stopped hoping. Its a mage card.
Using the banner color, that's absolutely a Mage card. Rogue banner is really dark, and unless my eyes are deceiving me, that's Mage's baby blue.
Well, here we go.
- Scale of Onyxia would only ever be good out of a discover. On its own, the only reason why this isn't straight up trash is because those whelps have rush and druid lacks removal options. I dont see anyone putting this deliberately in their druid decks.
- Drakefire Amulet right now would be absolutely rubbish if it werent for that tradeable tag. The only redeeming feature of this card is that its discover twice, not discover once for 2 dragons. So you get two shots at getting what you want. But what exactly is it that you would want out of this card?
- Not sure how Ring of Courage works. Does it buff randomly or all on the same minion according to how many minions are on your opponent's board? Its kinda an alright card, but will likely be supplanted easily by other buffs costing two like Noble Mount. The tradeable tag shouldn't be underestimated too.
- Horn of Wrathion would unlikely be consistent enough to play for its secondary effect unless we see a return of dragon priest. It does draw a minion, and since Insight is rotating in 2 months that may be a niche worth its price.
- Tooth of Nefarian is a nice little tool for rogue. Too bad that its a honor kill card, and therefore there's an innate consistency issue.
- And finally Gear Grubber. An interesting card to say the least because all it takes is one discount to make it worth it. Since most decks tend to skip their 1st turn this could be a card worth considering. Its certainly not a card for aggressive decks. Might find some niche in control decks, but we're all familiar with how that goes.
Amulet looks fierce in Wild! A bit more variety in Dragon pool, but damn that can snowball in conjuction with Dragoncaster. Just tell me if it will be craftable and not locked behind the mini-set paywall.
All mini-set cards are craftable. Only adventure cards were paywall locked.
Aggro Decks don`t want to end the turn with unspent mana - especially in the first few turns.
wrathion has horns?
He has, and they come with ear(horn?)rings!
I guess not in a usual sense, but yeah. Based on the golden ring, you can see where it was "taken from".
